My physician, Dr. Paul T. Smith, just joined the Concorde Medical Group, and I have had only one visit. I was favorably impressed! The office is well-run and attractive; I was taken care of as soon as I arrived. Dr. Smith has been my physician since 2017, and has done wonders managing HIV. He's extremely thorough, monitoring all aspects of my care. My viral load has been consistently undetectable since he reworked my medications. I recommend him highly. Craig and Tina made the move with him, and were welcoming and helpful as always. In addition the phlebotomist, Gertrude, was a special standout. She drew my blood with zero discomfort, and there was no mark on my skin when I removed the bandage that evening! read more

My mother was here yesterday and she had a horrible experience with the front desk. The receptionist was not helpful and had a disrespectful attitude. I work in the medical field as a receptionist and I WOULD NEVER be rude or disrespectful to a patient if they're asking for help or just confused about something. Do you want to be treated by a physician or be sold services from related entities? Fascinatingly, concord med has fully embraced technology, including its inundating people with advertising, REQUIRES you to do both if you want to see a doctor. Using tablets to check people in is an easy process, but now at Concord Med you have to endure no fewer than 6 ads before completing the work. After you pay, you have to click through those 6 ads before being checked in. There is no way to opt out. The ads are all for other Concord Med services. It's incredible to me that even a doctor's office check in process is no longer safe from being assaulted with advertising. read more

I've been a patient of both Pauline Higgins, Physician's Assistant, & Dr. Christina Kwon (OB/GYN) for over a year. Both are pleasant and have a good bedside manner. More importantly, they are both extremely competent - I never feel like my ladyparts and I are getting sub-standard care. Scheduling a same day appointment seems highly unlikely, being seen later on the week is the norm. Wait times vary - sometimes it's 15 minutes, sometimes it's 35. To help make the waits more bearable, free WiFi is offered here. As for test results, if you sign up to use the online patient portal blood-work results can be sent directly to you via email. Since Dr.Michael Kim left the practice, I have been struggling to find a GP that I really vibe with. I am extremely particular with choosing my healthcare providers (having worked in healthcare myself) so it'sa bit disappointing to still not find a great GP match. I took one star off for that. I don't want to roast my current GP here because he's nice and is great at following up on exam results. However, I do find myself having to dig extra hard during the visit for solutions to my ailments and questions to medical terms I may not be familiar with. The reason why I am sticking to Concorde (for now) is because of my gyno, Dr. Christina Kwon. She is a very straight-to-the-point kind of lady and I am rarely left waiting for her in the reception area or exam room for too long before I see her. If you need coddling, she is not the one for you. Unfortunately for me, she does not do obstetrics, so if I ever have a baby, I'll be leaving Concorde. read more

The front desk receptionist for Dr. Engel is extremely unprofessional and rude. Recently I called for a prescription refill and she hung up on me. I always have issues when dealing with her, whether it be for and appointment or need refills. I have been a patient of Dr Engels for over 15 years and it is time to find a place where I am treated better. read more

I have seen Dr.Katherine Keil for the last two years and I think she's great. Her assistant, Debbie, always gets me referrals quickly, calls me back within a couple of hours, after leaving a message, and always follows-up with me. I've been sick with the flu and Debbie has gotten me in, on the same day! If you're a New Yorker, you know that is rare to get same day appointments. Definitely see Dr.Keil. read more

I have been a patient with Dr Katherine Keil for more than 15 years and find her to be a professional, knowledgeable, caring , thorough physician. I can't say enough about how great she is. She really cares about her patients and goes above and beyond god them, She calls me after every visit to give me the results of testing, explain the meaning, and discuss next steps. Her staff are also very competent. I find them to follow up right away with matters. I don't understand the negative reviews of this practice. It's not at all what I experienced there. read more

Practice Owner...you're loosing business. While there are some devoted and caring Physicians and Techs here, the Front Office Staff is horrendous. No returned calls, incorrect messages given to the Doctors and evening contact numbers called rather than daytime. The automated pads they use here for patient information have promoted laziness. They pull you up and pass on whatever contact info is there...don't try and give a better contact method or number with a message...they don't hear you. Call again to question and you get attitude. Don't ask "they didn't call you back?" They do, but always at the wrong time or number you gave them. I'm leaving excellent Doctors because I can never contact them. read more

It's unfortunate to give Concorde 1 star as I have been a patient of Dr. Friedman and Dr. Silversheins for years. Regarding Dr. Friedman she was highly recommended by Dr. Carmit Archibald (whom I still until this day highly recommend as an OBGYN and wish I could continue seeing as a physician). The front desk at Concorde is terrible and should be highlighted. The women who answer the phones give you a runaround and could careless about your reasoning for wanting to visit the OBGYN as if people naturally have nothing better to do than visit their doctors without a cause. I'm very disappointed as again this place was highly recommended and my family and I use to go there but between the rude, disorganized staff and the doctors who let their front desk do as they please, I for one will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. read more

In the almost 4 years I've been a patient of Dr. Kwon I've only seen her once. I am always given to the nurse practitioner who thankfully, is very nice and informative. The worst part of this office is the staff. In my time as a patient, I've NEVER called them with a single issue until this week. I had a medical condition that I thought required a doctor's attention. After being told they can't do anything for me except make an appointment for over 2 days later, I accept the appointment time, & move all of my work appointments to accommodate. The doctor NEVER calls me back the first day as i requested and they promised she would. The next day the practitioner gets in touch with me and tells me to come in the next day to be seen by the doc. Friday afternoon comes around and they MOVE my appointment to an earlier time when I had rescheduled all of my business meetings to accommodate their first appointment. Unfortunately i did not get this message until it was way too late & i am beyond upset. All they did in response to that was send me a list of other doctors. They have 0 care for their patients needs and 0 care for our well being. I requested they pay me a $100 cancellation fee for canceling my appointment within less than 24 hours as I canceled several business meetings to accommodate them...I'm awaiting a response. THE OFFICE STAFF IS TERRIBLE --- STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

If you are a looking for a doctor that is empathetic and/or leaves emergency appointments on her calendar for patients that are suffering, I do not recommend Dr. Dorothy Lebeau. After suffering from a debilitating headache for the past 12 days and after seeking an ENT's care, I went to my internist, Dr Dorothy Lebeau at Concorde Medical (404 Park Ave location), without an appointment hoping to get some emergency attention. I walked in at 8:30 to catch the doctor before her first appointment at 9 AM. Despite my complaint of a 12-day headache, despite my desperate attempt to camp out at her office all morning until she was available to squeeze me in, Dr Lebeau refused to see me because it would "back up all of her appointments for the entire day." Her secretary informed me that Dr Lebeau "does not deviate from her schedule" and is a "stickler for promptness." At this time, at 9 AM, the doctor's office was completely empty and her sign in sheet was blank. I am certain I was Dr. Lebeau's only patient in the office. She did not make any attempt to help her patient in need and in pain. If you are looking for an empathetic doctor who keeps emergeny appointments for her patients, do not chose Dr Lebeau. On a seperate note, Natalie, one of the secretaries at this location of Concorde Medical, is extremely helpful and a very nice person. When she was assisting Dr. Kwon she even helped me over the Thanksgiving holiday. read more

Amanda at the Broadway office needs a serious course in professionalism and customer service. I had an appointment originally scheduled for 5pm with Dr Klavan whom I have found empathetic and interested in my care. Coming available from prior appointments a couple hours earlier than expected, I called the office to see if I should come in earlier. I was told that my appointment had been cancelled because a call to re-schedule it was met with a 'voicemail full' message. I was appalled, as the practice maintains a patient communication portal, and I had authorized contact by e-mail--neither of those methods were used to reach me. I asked for Dr. Klavan to return my call. Soon after, Amanda called to say that I needed to re-schedule my follow-up to a colonoscopy -- I had just used the patient portal to request the doctor to call me, as well, to discuss the outcomes. I told Amanda that I would not be scheduling an appointment due to the poor service, at which point she began talking over me. I stated "WHOA! I am your customer,' and she hung up on me. Guess I'll get my gastro care elsewhere. read more

The Dr.'s I have had at Concorde have been great and I would rate them 5 stars. However their front office/admin staff are incompetent, rude, and lazy. I have 2 main complaints: 1) Trying to get their help with prescriptions is a nightmare at best. The number of phone calls I have to place in order for them to fax a prescription to a pharmacy is absurd. 2) I was asked by my Dr. last fall to get a medical test. When I went to schedule I inquired about the cost and they said it was covered by my insurance and I wouldn't have to pay a cent. I went ahead and had the procedure done at the end of 2015, only to find a $600+ bill follow in the mail a few weeks later. I made numerous calls to the office citing my previous conversation only to be told I was wrong and no one at their office would say that. If I had known about the cost, I would have planned for it in 2016 when I had other procedures being performed and my deductible would have been met. Their office was rude and accusatory when I called back and blamed my knowledge of my insurance plan. I have no idea how I am supposed to discern the cost of their procedures from their black box forms nor how I should have known this procedures would run me $100s. Please be aware and take your business elsewhere. read more

My rating is the same but I want to update to include Dr. Rosenzveig who I now see as well. She is very knowledgeable and I have a good experience with her each time I see her. She is clear and explains everything she is doing at each step, which is very calming. I had a procedure yesterday and her and her MA/RN had their whole system down pat so everything was seamless for me; she checked in regularly to ask how I was doing and when I was doing well but sweaty they offered me an ice back to stay relaxed. This review is for Dr. Lebeau. I had my first appointment with her today after the recommendation of a friend who sees her. I was very pleased with the visit. Dr. Lebeau took a great deal of time with me going over my medical history at length and in great detail. She and her technician took extra time to get me the appropriate lab paperwork I needed for my work physical. Additionally, both ladies were very friendly and had great bedside manner. read more

This practice is extremely negligent and unscrupulous with their billing. I was billed $300 for a visit with a nurse practitioner for an annual exam. When I checked out that day, I explicitly asked whether any payment was due and I was told there was no payment due as the annual was covered by my insurance policy. Two years later I receive a letter from a collection agency for the bill. Concorde never sent me an invoice for these services. Furthermore, they provided an incorrect mailing address to the collections agency, so I had no opportunity to reply to the letter in a timely manner. The letter I received was a second notice, that was dated months prior, to an incorrect mailing address. When I called them regarding these issues, they said I did not owe $300 and that the claim was in error and directed me back to the collections agency. The collections agency then directed me back to Concorde, who told me in fact I did owe $300 - just another mistake on their end. They said it is their practice not to send invoices for bills that are due. They also did not care that they had incorrect contact information on file - this was not an old address they had, but a completely incorrect address that was the result of a clerical error on their end. Their clerical error made it impossible for me to respond to the credit agency until months after the fact. This negatively impacted my credit. I would not have chosen this practice for any reason other than for the fact they accepted my insurance. The office is extremely run down and you are seen by a nurse, not a doctor. They obviously do not run an efficient practice. I would be seriously concerned about how they handle medical records based on their inability to follow any common decency when it comes to billing. Avoid this practice at all costs. read more

For over 20 years, I was a highly satisfied patient of a caring and dedicated physician. He then moved over to "Concorde Medical." For 2 years, I put up with the horrible business practices of this mill-like medical care facility, where "care" is spelled with $ signs. I did so because I trusted and valued my relationship with my long-term physician. Last year, he retired and his files were transferred to another physician. That's all I needed to know. I read some of the review and I felt obligated to review as well. The front office is a little tough.. they are difficult to communicate with and not great with prescription refills. With that being said, the place is swamped and I really do feel like they are doing the best that they can, which is all you can ask for. The front office is always very polite and do there best. Dr. Viady is a great doctor - I highly recommend him if you need a generalist. They are also great about giving you an appointment at a time that works for you. read more

Went in for a dermatologist appointment with Ms. Maryles. I was a new patient of hers, and had a 6:30 appointment- as I was filling out the paper work another person comes in to see her, his appointment at 6:40. I'm already feeling rushed at this point. I go into the office- she gives me a full body exam- which was fine. Then I ask her about removing a mole- she says sure- I ask her if it will be covered by my insurance- she tells me it should be yes. WELL it wasn't. FURTHERMORE she gave me 2 prescriptions- only because I ASKED her for them. The bill may not be a big deal to her, but for me it is. When your in a doctors office and ask a question- you base your decisions on the answer. If she wasn't sure about the billing- she should have told me that and I wouldn't have done it. Also she said she wasn't sure how I was rushed- when you have an appointment scheduled for 10mins after mine, you probly will have to rush. read more

5 stars for Dr. Rachel Friedman! She is WONDERFUL and absolutely the best gynecologist in New York City! Over many years I have had visits with several and she is far superior. It's for this reason that you really do have to book ahead. At least a month ahead, but that's actually pretty standard (even for the not-so-great ones). First of all, she is an actual woman, NOT A ROBOT. That means she actually listens and lets you explain your stuff rather than reading history notes on a computer. There wasn't any pre-vetting from a nurse which was A-mazing! She came in, introduced herself and listened. A DOCTOR WHO LISTENS? Yes. Plus she seems to know stuff a regular gyne might not consider. I have seen another physician in her office and wouldn't recommend her. So these five stars are all for Dr. Friedman. I have to say I also thought the ladies at the check-in and check-out desk, and the appointment person were all especially polite and NORMAL. Phew. Finally. read more

I want to share a little story with you... As a new resident to good ol' New York City I signed up with Dr. Fathollahi as my new PCP at Concorde Medical. I had a blood test and was told to call back for the results a few days later. No worried about my blood tests as I was in good health, it seemed like no big deal. The very next day at 9am sharp I received 2 voicemails on different phones saying I need to meet with the Dr. again. I called back and asked what was going on and the receptionist/nurse/lady/appointmentmaker said "Your test results came back, there was a problem with your white blood cells, the doctor would like to talk to you." I tried to probe for info (obviously!) and this person said I really need to wait to speak with the doctor. Naturally, I made an appt ASAP- for the following morning. Now what does one do when they have inconclusive evidence they have a 'white blood cell problem'? Google. Like mad. I came up with all sorts of things that could be wrong with me, called my mom (who got very upset/concerned), and barely slept that night. What could this be?! I went in for my appt the next day literally shaking... skipping out of work so I can manage this important meeting with the doctor. The doctor came in and looked at me saying, "Are you here for another blood test?" I was like "What? No. I got a call about my white blood cells...?" She responded, "Oh no! That was not for you- that was for another patient."....... ?!?!?!?!??!! Yeah that's right. Not me. They switched around my records and I was perfectly healthy. If this happened to me- God only know what else they are mixing up. To their defense, Dr. F was very apologetic ... but I am still so furious about the carelessness. Even if I DID have something wrong with me, leaving a cryptic message about it and making the patient wait is just WRONG. It still infuriates me to think about it. I'm not here to point fingers. I'm not here to try to stop the doctors at Concorde Medical from helping people every day- which I am sure they are. I just feel responsible to get the message out about my experience so hopefully it spares another person from going through the nonsense I did. PS - One more note- be careful which tests they recommend you get... at one point I was convinced to get a series of x-rays and set of blood tests unnecessarily that racked up a huge charge as it was not covered by my insurance. They have been non-transparent about the cost of treatment and very rude when I called them to try to switch my secondary insurer to become my primary insurer which would have saved me significant money. I ended up sorting it myself after being yelled at by the staff over the phone several times. Not coming back here again, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

My inital visit with Dr Maryles was for a routine body check and a biopsy of a small blemish that has never healed on my shinbone. Prior to the body check I was asked if I had ever had skin cancer and surgery. I answered that I had skin cancer above my lip that was followed by Mohls surgery. Strange as it may seem, I was never asked to remove my mask during my body check exam. I had communicated to the doctor that I had my two vaccines quite sometime ago. A tangential biopsy of skin on my shin bone was taken and sent to lab. When Dr . Maryles called to let me know that I had squamous cell Carcinoma without explanation of exactly what that meant. I was advised to have Mohs surgery by my own surgeon or she could refer me to someone else. The most offensive experience came next: my forehead is absolutely clear and without warning or explanation she froze an area of my smooth and clear forehead. I feel taken advantage of, for me and medicare. I will certainly send this letter on to medicare so that they are aware of how I was charged $366.00 for absolutely no reason. KT read more

Going to the lady-doctor is never fun, but Concorde Medical takes all of the pain out of the surrounding process. The office is extremely efficient, with polite, helpful receptionists. I had to be 10 min late for a scheduled appointment due to work commitments, and the office was very accomodating. There is a water cooler and a place to hang coats - the little things really do make a difference when you are about to have a very uncomfortable experience. (The magazines suck, though.) Dr. Christine Kwon is very down-to-business, but will answer any question you could throw at her with both answers - the "official doctor's answer", and her own understanding of a situation. She makes all of her own follow-up calls - that level of personal attention is rarely found. If all of the other doctors are this good, you can't go wrong. read more

She took her time, explained everything and gave some great insight on my symptoms and possible causes. My first visit was great so I decided to spend my birthday with them. I was a bit worried due to the lack of good reviews but I really had an overall good experience. I went for an annual checkup with Dr. Adina Rosenzveig. The whole thing lasted less than an hour. Receptionist Sara was very nice.They let me in even if I wasn't done with my forms. Dr. Rosenzveig was very nice and sat down with me first. The exam was painless and quick (but not rushed). She asked questions about my general health and let me through was she was doing it every step of the way. I would recommended this place. read more

I have been with my general practitioner here for 15 years, and now my husband sees him too. Maybe it's the luck of the draw, but we love this practice. We always get to speak directly with the doctor when we need him, and he's bright and personable. We've also seen two of the gastro's, a dermatologist, and a podiatrist. All have been extremely bright, which I think is really important when you're talking about your health. Top notch-- I wouldn't think of going anywhere else... In fact, if I move out of the city, I'm keeping my GP. I'll drive an hour to see him. ;) Except... The only dept I ever had a serious issue with was the gyn. There was a pretty major misdiagnosis-- roughly 10 years ago. The two gyns involved are still with the practice. It's a loooong story, but I got a weirdly positive result for something, and the gyn didn't think to retest me. So I requested a retest, and the result then came back negative, (my expected result). She was confounded, because that never happens. My GP suggested we do a tiebreaker, and that too, was negative. I was irritated with the gyn, and for my next appointment, I switched to the other gyn in the practice. When I explained why I made the switch, the new gyn said, "oh yeah, there was a problem at the lab we used. They weren't cleaning out the machine properly, and we were getting batches of positives for that test." Ummm.... what?? Ok, so accidents happen. But no one thought to call and TELL ME??? Like, yeah, actually, you're definitely negative for that test, there was a huge mistake at the lab?? And THAT's why I'd never use their gyn department. Thank goodness for my sharp GP, who suggested the tie breaker, and put my mind at ease for the six months it took before I found out the real story... read more

I've been using Concorde doctors for 30 years. They are nothing less than the best. They are all specialists and associated with all the leading New York hospitals. They are my go-to healthcare team. I go to them for checkups and followup. I recommend them to anyone who lives or works in New York City. read more

I love Dr. Friedman. I will follow her to the ends of the earth if she ever changed locations. HOWEVER, the front staff is absolutely awful. No eye contact, no courtesy, no warmth, nada. You are just a money maker to them. You get orders barked at you "fill this out, step aside, have a seat, sign here, pay here now". Oh and forget about phone etiquette. Disgraceful. But, all of that changes once you get called in, so if you can get passed the unprofessional and cold treatment, then go for it, because the doctors I've seen are wonderful. read more

this is a very confused, disorganised, group when it comes to billing. they bill incorrectly (billed for an office visit when it is not an office visit) then when the dr tells them it is an error, they stop billing. one year later they send a bill and within about 3 weeks they send to a collection agency. nice too bad the doctors don't all walk away from them! read more

Dr. Rachel Friedman: The appt scheduling is extremely frustrating. Use ZocDoc already! Rather, patients have to leave messages for assistants in the mess of their phone call system. Then, you have to battle with the assistant to find appt w/no availability. I can do this SO much easier myself. PLEASE PLEASE change your current process!! I also find that you have extended waiting times in the waiting room and especially in the exam room which is extremely frustrating. Otherwise, the Doctor is very friendly but unfortunately being in the Customer Field sector myself your support system affects your reputation enormously. read more

I usually have to call back several times before I can make an appointment, since the secretary will have failed to call me back after I left messages. This has happened numerous times too when I've needed birth control prescriptions called into my pharmacy (not something you can wait a few days on), billing issues, etc. I keep going back because the doctors are great, but I really hope they consider finding new staff. read more

I've only seen doctor Dorothy LeBeau once, but I will be sticking with her, provided I don't continue to have difficulties with her secretary Anna. When I saw her, Dr. LeBeau was competent, quick but thorough, and very helpful in giving me a full understanding of my health status. If I could, I would give the doctor 4.5 stars and the experience with her secretary 2 stars. Her secretary, while very nice and polite, won't lift a finger. Trying to get her to fax a prescription to my physical therapist required 6 calls. And when I showed up for physical therapy, they never received the prescription. Competence of the doctor is the most important factor here, no doubt. But I've spent more time, now, interacting with her secretary and it's been more difficult than it ought to be. read more

I have never seen a doctor's office with such poor follow through. The administrative staff appears to be overwhelmed and unaccountable. After seeing one of the doctors, I was supposed to leave with my prescription, my written instructions and a referral to another specialist. None of this was provided to me. After calling their office for 2 days, I am still empty-handed. I asked them to call in my prescription to the pharmacy which they have never done (although the admin said they had). You get the sense that no one is really paying attention. Very unsettling for a patient. read more
