Within one lesson he had my swing plane and ball striking much improved. Went from hitting an 8 iron 130-135 to 150, and taking the big hook/draw off my ball. A recurring injury has slowed me down quite a bit in recent months, but looking to head back when i'm ready, hopefully i start off where i left off. Only issue would be that if you go out for a course lesson it counts more towards your lessons.....1 course lesson counts as more days than an indoor lesson, they didn't mention that to me up front (still worth doing though).

It was very clean and all the water made it enjoying and nerve racking. It is the perfect difficulty for all ages as we had a 7 year old through age 43. They also had a driving range and it wasn't bad it was very nice. The whole place was very sanitary compared to other places. They keep very nice care of the place. I booked a swing analysis with John Spiteri and was very happy with the results. John is very knowledgeable and patient. He uncovered several swing faults and worked with me on corrections. His explanations were clear and he was very patient with me as I worked through the changes. I've since gone through a club fitting with John and again, he was great. I didn't have my best swing for the session but he got me going and he took me through a process of trying different manufacturers, shafts, and lies. Again, he was extremely thorough and patient and I am very pleased with my club recommendations. Be aware that they cover the major manufacturers but not everyone. Throughout both sessions, there was no hard sell and I was very comfortable and satisfied with the results. I can't speak to the other coaches at Golftec in East Brunswick but John Spiteri is great. This is possible because Gabe has the teaching and playing experience to coach you in all aspects of your game, whether it's course management or building confidence around your shots. Gabe has elevated my awareness of my own swing and helped me stay committed to making long term swing changes. Like many golfers starting out, I still struggle with the basics like consistent contact, club face control, and release. No instructor can transform your swing overnight, but TRUST he will give you the right things to work on and many ways to work on them. As a result, I am making solid contact with the ball more frequently, have 15+ yards in distance per club, and am hitting straighter shots. Most importantly, Gabe will teach you how to be your own coach. Working with Gabe over time has given me the tools to diagnose and straighten out issues in my own swing even on a day when "I just can't seem to hit the ball." It has also taught me to consume the myriad golf content I encounter online with a critical eye. I know what I need to work on thanks to Gabe, and any of the bad rounds I shoot now and going forward would not be for a lack of excellent instruction. If this is helpful context, I picked up golf in 2020, have mediocre natural hand-eye coordination, and am not a particularly quick learner. I have been golfing for approx 8 years. My game has been very inconsistent and having had very little formal coaching, I felt it was time to get help. Mike is very firm with his lessons, alot like the military he will break you down and built you back up. Mike started with my grip, then stance, ball position (no wise cracks) shaft position, alignment etc. I have seen a tremendous improvement in the accuracy of my shot, my swing is now smooth and fluid. Unfortunately with groupon I am only allowed to buy redeem one groupon or I would have scheduled again. I plan on working through a few of my weaknesses on the range and course but I will definitely go back for another few lessons. The range itself is too notch. The stalls are in excellent condition, the mats look new. There is an area to hit off grass. The bucket prices are reasonable. The pro shop is equipped with balls, gloves and grips for regripping I also think you can purchase new clubs and get fitted. I definitely recommend this location for all golfers.

I've probably taken 10-12 1/2 hour lessons over the years. Sometimes he give me 30 minutes, but on several occasions (when he's not under the gun to get to another lesson) he's given me considerably extra time. The range is nice also. Out on Route 68 it is nice and quiet. The mats are in good shape and the balls are in good shape as well.

My reiki experience with Sonam helped me see my life from a different perspective. I never even…read moreheard of the word "reiki" until Sonam mentioned it over a casual conversation in her kitchen. I was still clueless and skeptical after her explanation, but I agreed when she graciously suggested I try it later that evening. Seeing my initial hesitation, Sonam was extremely attentive to my first experience by answering my questions beforehand. The 90-minute session flew by. I was peacefully asleep during the meditative phase and the discussion afterwards was enlightening and emotional. Sonam gave me the option of pulling cards, which confirmed many of her visions about my past. I was reintroduced to repressed memories that I thought had no influence on my daily actions, but now I understand how those past experiences shape me today. Reiki is still tough for me to explain. It's like introducing a fresh set of eyes on your entire life. Sharing your past requires extreme vulnerability, but I can't think of anyone better to trust with that responsibility. I feel much more conscious with my thoughts today; helping me make better life decisions for my family and myself.
