Came to Golftec after developing some bad habits that i couldn't work out on my own (just made them worse). I worked with Ryan, very good experience working with him, knowledgable, patient, and was able to pinpoint some of my issues right away. Within one lesson he had my swing plane and ball striking much improved. Went from hitting an 8 iron 130-135 to 150, and taking the big hook/draw off my ball. A recurring injury has slowed me down quite a bit in recent months, but looking to head back when i'm ready, hopefully i start off where i left off. Only issue would be that if you go out for a course lesson it counts more towards your lessons.....1 course lesson counts as more days than an indoor lesson, they didn't mention that to me up front (still worth doing though). read more

I have been with Golftec for several months now under the tutelage of Brian Gussis. Words cannot describe how happy I am with Brian and the entire staff at the Woodbridge location. The location is always clean and all of the equipment is always in working order. Not only had Brian been teaching me sound fundamental golf techniques, (which has greatly improved my ball striking) he has also expertly fitted me with all new clubs. I have to say that if your equipment is several years old you owe it to yourself to upgrade your equipment, (these guys are the ones to fit you ). Went for an iron fitting. They did not carry 2 major brands and were very limited on the shafts they had. Save your money.

I could not be happier with the Services at GolfTec Woodbridge! My coach, Brian Gussis, is the best instructor I've ever had! I had always struggled with consistency in my game and after the very first evaluation Brian was able to help me visualize the way to correct the things in my swing that were prohibiting me from making clean consistent contact with the ball. Every lesson has helped me improve tremendously and today I shot the best round of my life! My wedges have improved, my putting has improved, I now have a consistent and predictable draw on the ball with all of my irons! But the most important thing is that Brian has helped me rediscover my love of golf! It's fun again! His teaching style is fantastic, and he breaks things down in a way that makes it easy to understand and clearly makes sense. I came to Golftec after not having played in nearly 20 years. I researched for the best pro in the area and Jason Blonder at Golftec had consistently high ratings. My first lesson with Jason was an hour long with a 30 minute review and analysis. Jason completely deconstructed my swing and built back a new one that has me much more consistent than I ever was. I needed to be able to get the ball cleanly off the tee for an upcoming fundraiser with friends of 50 years and didn't want to be embarrassed. Tomorrow is the day of the event and I am confident that I am more prepared than I would have believed a few short weeks ago. Very disappointed in the two club fitting sessions I had there. About 5 years ago I was looking for new irons and decided to get fit. Ultimately Golftec recommended a Mizuno set with +1 inch shafts. I am 5'10" and questioned the extra length shafts but was told that was the proper length for me. With the custom options the irons came to about $750. After receiving the clubs, I played for a couple of years but not well. I assumed it was the magician and not the wand. I recently went back to Golftec for a driver fitting. While the fitter was taking my measurements I stated that I was playing +1 shafts. The fitter looked at me like I was crazy and asked why I was doing that as I should be in normal length shafts given my height and arm measurements. When I explained that was what Golftec put me in when I got fitted for irons, the fitter could only state that the technology had changed and they were much better at proper fitting now than they were then. We then started demo'ing various drivers with the stock manufacturer shaft options. The fitter said that was all they had. From their website I had assumed that my fitting would provide access to other than stock shaft options but apparently I was wrong. Ultimately I feel I spent 125 for a fitting session that was only marginally better than demo'ing a club at my club or the driving range. There are several other places around that offer a much broader range of custom options for just a bit more money. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

I started playing golf since last year. I saw the ads about Golftec and took an evaluation session with Brian Guiss. Brian and his team are exceptional, professional and extremely helpful. They know what they are doing and will keep correcting you till you learn. I like working with Brian and he is a good mentor. Last year when I started I was over 100, after 1.5 years of classes, coaching, training and practice, I started breaking 80 consistently. It's is so awesome and I recommended my friends also. I have been with Golftec in Woodbridge for 3 years now. This facility is the best I've seen and the Instructors are very friendly and awesome. If you love golf and want to improve, this is the best place. I have set a goal with my instructor Nick Schiavo to be consistent low 80's and hoping to break it the year after. With their knowledge and high end equipment, I was able to break 80's within 2 months. I was hitting a lot better, a lot further and more consistent. I am now able to draw my shots which I was not able to do before. Even with my physical limitation of my left arm unable to fully straighten, i am able to with the help of my instructor. I highly recommend Golftec as this place is serious about golf improvement. They do not just treat you as a customer here but as part of a Golftec family. Now, I enjoy golf more than ever! If you want t improve go to the best. Brian Guissis is smart funny and extremely knowledgeable. It is slightly more expensive than your local pro but considering they have package deals and the fact you get your lesson available instantly as well as functional drills to help whatever you are working on. Disappointed in the amount of follow up and communication after I decided on which Clubs to purchase. Also dissatisfied that the grips I selected with an additional charge of course were not ordered with my 900 dollar set of clubs. When they said they would get them, it took 4 weeks to get a phone call that they were in, but they can keep them, as I would not recommend their services to anyone. read more

I have been a happy Golftec customer for 6-7 years. I take lessons from Brian at the Woodbridge facility. I never played golf before starting my lessons, just before I sold my business at age 62 and before I planned to retire. I play 2-3 times a week now, take lessons and practice year round indoors with Brian, with an occasional outdoor lesson, and I've lowered my scores from low hundreds to low 80's, I shot a wonderful 79 last week. Brian is a great teacher, the technical aids at the Golftec facility are great, including video, online review, and simulations of real course conditions and distances. If I have a specific issue with some phase of the game, I can always bring it to Brian, he can show me the correct way to make any shot. From the basics, which I needed to learn a few years ago, to more advanced stuff: For instance, I hit a draw off the tee. Sometimes I find myself in the left rough, yikes, under a low tree limb. Brian showed me the correct technique for hitting a low shot out of the rough, including club, grip, stance, (low) follow through. I am now completely confident I can recover. We worked indoors on hitting better sand shots, even with no sand. We reviewed technique, mindset, club choice and position, practice ideas, etc. I practiced at the course a few days before my last round; I was in the sand twice, far from the hole, I hit it out 1 foot from the pin the first time, about 7 feet the second time, and saved par both times.
