The beach has decent sand and a long stretch for walks/runs. It was clean and there were all sorts of people from families, to singles and their pets enjoying the beautiful aqua water. Be advised, the water does have a strong undertow. If you are not a strong swimmer this may not be the beach for you. There were multiple places to eat and if you are not staying at one of the beach side hotels your easily able to rent chairs and umbrellas. read more

Compared to New York, Chicago, and California beaches, almost all Puerto Rico beaches are amazing and feel like bathwater. Compared to Ocean Park, Condado beach is a little more touristy and has multiple resorts and hotels on the beach. For that reason, the beach is very well taken care of and there are no rocks under water whatsoever. It is also close to CVS and Walgreens, if you need a beer or snack run. read more

I really enjoyed my time at Condado Beach last year. It was a last minute solo trip to PR that introduced me to this beach. I loved getting there early to enjoy as much of the day on the beach as possible. Never too crowded, and the water was a perfect temperature to cool you off from the hot sun. From what I remember it was relatively clean. The water was picture perfect. I loved walking on the beach, just as the sun started to set and look at the water and the nice ocean side establishments lining the coast. read more

Despite being the smallest of all of the beaches we visited, this was one of my favorites. Parking was in the hotel garage adjacent, and you could rent chairs from them even if you weren't a guest. The water was incredibly calm because of a rock wall that broke the waves. It was SO clear, too! I watched fish swim by my feet and had the most gorgeous view of the sunset. read more

One of my favorite beaches and I've been to many. The waves can be a bit much but I like beaches with waves however during winter months the waves can be really tough. Came in December and couldn't really stay in the water due tough rough waves. In the summer you can enjoy the waves/water more. I normally hang in front of Atlantic Beach hotel, they have a bar there and you can order cocktails from the beach. read more

Location, location, location. Amazing beach. The people who rent the chairs charge $5 for the whole day. So no need to carry one. The waves are great for surfing. The water is an amazing turquoise color. The beach needs a cleaning, because us tourists, leave a mess. read more

Beautiful beach! I rented two chairs and an umbrella = 35$. Cheap deal! We enjoyed tanning and swimming in the crystal clear ocean. The beach staff is pleasant. Massage and drink are also a great to relax here. Nice beach. Cafe close. read more

Wow, too much kelp. It was super windy and overcast in Mid-May when we walked along here in the early afternoon and the whole scene itself couldn't be farther from the amazing photos we had seen online. Nice looking beach but not comparable to the white sand beaches of the Florida Gulf Coast. Some rocks are apparent and high surf. The main drag, Ashford, looks very much like Miami beach or Ft. Lauderdale, with many of the same chain hotels. Several have relatively small casinos, but not the scope of Atlantic City or even the Hard Rocks in Florida. We enjoyed the old city much more thatn the beach area, but may have like it more if we were gamblers or beach lovers. read more

I'll try and make this review short. I love this place! We are staying (or stayed) at the Marriott Stellaris Hotel, where they give us beach umbrellas & chairs. Perfect! I'm not sure if this beach is always windy or it was just this particular day. But the waves were amazing. We played in the water and I got knocked down by a few waves! I didn't mind I was have be a splashing good time. Come here and relax, have fun, soak up sun and if you wish buy a few drinks and edibles from the sellers that come around. This beach is great! If you can't swim please stay close to shore! read more

Nice beach, short but really wide, read the reviews and they are pretty accurate. Water is fun to play in. It does have its share of locals getting hammered and a faint hint of pot in the air (good/bad...you decide). Better yet, go a few hundred yards to the east and check out Ocean Park Beach- bigger and fewer people. read more

Great beach. Clean, not overcrowded, very close to lots of hotels and restaurants. The water is beautiful and the waves are rough. This is the only beach we went to our whole trip because we didn't need to try anywhere else. read more

Small Beach. Seems private. Right behind the hotels. Tides were high. But I just wanted to tan early morning. Not bad.

Smallest, dirties beach I've seen. The only convenience was having this beach right in the hotel but it was horrible. NEVER AGAIN!

My husband and I were on Atlantic beach between Marriott and Hilton hotels on January 22nd 2015. We witnessed a drowning while there off of a cruise ship. Two locals pulled the man to shore, they were exhausted so my husband, trained in BLS and myself, a cardiac RN began CPR. A third man joined us and we all three called for a defibrillator. After a few minutes several police officers and EMTS showed up. No defribrillator. We kept asking why they weren;t taking this man to the ambulance. They just watched us 3 Americans work and work on this guy. A person from the crowed yelled out that there are drownings here all the time and the emergency services never does anything. Another local called out the guy is dead, it's his time, we had 14 drownings in the past few weeks. Are you kidding me? This guy should die because 14 others died? We worked on him untill exhausted. The emergency services wouldn't transport him to the hospital or attempt help of any kind. They then left the mans body on the beach for several hourse untill the coroner came and took his body. Tourists covered his body with a towell. This is an atrocity. Don't drown or have a heart attack in Peurto Rico. They just look at you while you die. You would never see this in the US. A witnessed drowning or heart attack is taken to the emergency room while CPR ensues and an ER doctor pronounces the victim dead. This is an atrocity. I will continue to investigate this until I get some answers!!!!! So sad for the people of Peurto Rico. The EMS there is pathetic. Stayed January 2015 read more

This is an awesome beach in San Juan with great waves. If you look for the Atlantic hotel you'll see a mostly gay crowd grouped in front of there on the weekends. They'll even set up umbrellas and chairs for you for $10. Note: The $11 million dollar abandoned hotel next to The Atlantic is a bit of a strange eyesore on the beach but the upside is it provides free shade later in the day if you don't want to get an umbrella. Tip: go back at sunset one night and stop at the Ben and Jerry's by La Concha for a walk on the beach with an ice cream cone...wonderful. read more

this beach is everything. peaceful tranquil and drama free. the natives very helpful on this beach. they also provide chairs @ $5 each and an umbrella for $10 not bad. every where to eat is on ashford avenue. buses are 75 cents one way to old san juan. then you can catch a free trolley to see the forts that protected puerto rico. you can get good prices with local uber drivers from $3-7 dollars. so down load the app. it works. so bring your sun screen and love this paradise called puerto rico. read more

A bit too crowded for my liking. But I'm coming from New York, and it's is very warm, no rocks and smooth sand - so no major complaints here. It is also free to enter, and for beach chairs, it's about $10 for the day from the beach boys. Bring your own food and drinks for the day, and you are set. It is NOT worth the money to stay in one of the beach hotels. read more
