what a clean lovely beach! I came here daily during my birthday trip and it was the highlight of my day. They have vendors that sell food, music playing and so much space to lay out and tan. My word of advice is always get to the beach early to get a great spot. 5/5 would recommend this beach!

I had an easy check in. The hotel is less than a block from pharmacy, grocery, shopping, food, and the beach. The only minor inconveniences we had was some dripping from a vent during the rain (condensation?), some trouble printing my cruise boarding pass, and the water faucet had a special trick to turn to hot water. Super minor. The hotel was spacious, amenities in room include basic modern expectations: many lighting options(!), many USB ports, microwave, cable. Lots of space to put luggage. The hotel bar and restaurant was welcoming. The food delicious. The grouper with garlic sauce was so amazing! The breakfast was good, too, I had the French toast and they serve such large portions, I couldn't eat it all. I should've noted my servers' names but for dinner, as they made great recommendations and service was remarkable! Bartender makes great Moscow Mules and Coquito! Great gym! Jacuzzi and pool was nice. Laundry machines were fast and clean. I would definitely stay here again. I give it a 4.9.

I love coming to San Juan for the beautiful views, ambiance and atmosphere. The air is so clean and smells so nice and tropical. The beach just calms the hers and puts the mind to ease.

Love it! Full disclosure: The water is quite rough for swimmers, but advisory signs are posted, lifeguards are on watch-- blowing whistles left and right, and it's beautiful! The rocks and beautiful blue water gives it a beautiful aesthetic. The hotels on this beach are also top tier! Trust me, this is where you want to be!

If we're rating beaches Candado beach is highest on my list. It's close to our hotel but it's public. That simply means that anyone and everyone can come to the beach. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. The beach is like a cove that is protected by a large reef, so the waves are held at bay. When you come to the beach there is a beach staff that will sell you chairs and umbrellas but be sure to bring your own beach supplies. The sun is serious out here and you can get burned very easily and severely. The beach itself is pretty small. At peak time it gets crowded, chair to chair people.

The Condado lagoon was very rocky. This makes is hard to walk along the coast. However the beach is very beautiful and picturesque.

It was fun for our big beach day! We did morning thorough afternoon and it is a beautiful beach with all kinds of restaurants, shops, and hotels close by. We brought our own towels, but you can rent umbrellas and chairs from many of the hotel beach rentals and vendors on the beach. Remember to really make an effort to keep Sun screen so you don't get burnt. There are danger signs posted notifying that it is a dangerous beach with strong undercurrents so be careful. The Pacific Ocean was a little rough the day we went, but we were super safe and tried not to venture out too far. It was a fun time, but personally preferred the Playita del Condado Beach as it is smaller and was closer to our hotel but I see where this beach and location off the Condado Strip is so appealing.

My favorite beach that I've been to in San Juan due to its location. Large enough you can always find your own space. Also has some hotel spots. But near all the great food.

The beach of Condado is a very popular beach among tourists in San Juan craving a Caribbean beach resort experience with all the vibrant life of a city just steps away. It attracts diverse crowd, from families to famous celebrities. If you want to play on the water, you can enjoy windsurfing, a very popular watersport in Condado. all the top hotels and resorts are close as well as restaurants. but , but - despite tempting Condado Beach is not safe for swimming or bathing, the water has very dangerous currents. Neither adults nor children should be swimming at Condado Beach. Nearby, you can walk to Playita del Condado, (Playita means small) a small beach with calmer water, better for swimming and doing a little snorkeling. We just came here, clicked few pics, dipped feet in sea water, wander around and moved to Playita condado. Ps: I did not see any shower-bathroom here.

Beautiful area to stay in. Especially for tourists. Plenty of nice areas to eat. Walking distance from everything. 15 minutes from the Placita. Which wasn't bad at all. Rather than calling an Uber (since they don't have Lyft in PR) we walked to the placita. The streets weren't really busy on the way there. Most places were closed. A few of the restaurants walking distance from our VRBO were open until 4am. If you visit Condado Beach you have to take a pic with the Flag. It's a monument the beach is known for. All visitors take a picture there. Be ready for a line but it isn't too long. I would definitely stay in the same area to be by Condado beach when I go to Puerto Rico again. Beautiful place and so many delicious places to eat. I basically licked my plate at everyplace!

Condado Beach water is very very choppy. It's nice to visit & relax. I didn't get in the water because the waves were very heavy. I wouldn't recommend swimming.

This was my first beach experience in Puerto Rico and I liked it a lot! I'm giving it 4 stars because people were leaving their trash everywhere and I almost stepped in a bottle top. It is a little more of a crowded beach, so I guess that's why maybe? We got three chairs and an umbrella for the day and it was only $25. They had some guys walking around carrying carts to make drinks (alcohol or no alcohol) and they had waiters on the beach as well. I couldn't find a place for the public to rinse off, but I honestly didn't try too hard. There was a little bit of the sargassum seaweed, but most of it was washed up on the beach and not in the water. The waves are a little strong here. There was a red flag up when I was there but no one was enforcing it. Just don't go out past your waist and you'll be fine.

Fun time at the beach ! Surf, waves, sun, and a beautiful sunset. Some sand crabs even came to say hello ! Restrooms do close at 17:00

Small Beach. Seems private. Right behind the hotels. Tides were high. But I just wanted to tan early morning. Not bad.

Smallest, dirties beach I've seen. The only convenience was having this beach right in the hotel but it was horrible. NEVER AGAIN!

This isn't one of those sprawling, endless beaches it's a protected, almost tucked-away cove, shielded by rocks that keep the water calm, clear, and ridiculously inviting. While much of Condado's coastline can get rough with waves, this spot stays mellow, making it perfect for floating, swimming, or just standing there with a drink in hand pretending you've got nowhere else to be. Now let's be honest about the vibe. This place packs out. Locals know it, travelers catch on quick, and before you know it, every inch of sand is claimed like beachfront real estate. You want in? You show up early, you bring your gear, and you guard your spot like it's beachfront gold. Blink, and it's gone. And then there's the unofficial ritual: grab one of those smooth, not-too-strong piña coladas nearby sweet, icy, and easy going. But if you came prepared with a little extra "motivation" tucked away? Well, now you're not just at the beach... you're living right. A little mix, a little sun, and suddenly the whole day hits different. What really seals it is that convenience factor. Being steps away from where you're staying? That's dangerous in the best way. One quick walk turns into an all-day affair, and before long, this little stretch of sand feels like your personal backyard. Playita del Condado isn't trying to be the biggest or the boldest it just quietly delivers one of the best beach days you can have in Puerto Rico. And honestly? That's exactly why it sticks with you.

It's small so make sure you get there very early or else you won't have a place to lay your towel or blanket. It's also nice to come at night and enjoy the views of the businesses across the water and listen to the waves. Bonus tip, bring cocktails for added pleasure. FYI: The Piña Coladas they sell here are very expensive and low in alcohol compared to most places on the island but it is nice to have one in a pineapple while enjoying the beach and water. BTW: bring everything you need to enjoy a nice day here because it's one of the most amazing spots on the island and if you leave you'll lose your spot. I miss you Puerto Rico!!! Enjoy a Piña Colada for me ;)

We passed several inviting open air restaurants as we neared the beach and my only regret is not having time to stop for a bite! We parked on a grassy area across from the beach, which was convenient and I was thankful it was not full on this pretty Saturday afternoon. We crossed the busy street carefully with our coolers and trekked alongside the pavement until we saw people. This is definitely a family beach. Loud music and conversations emanated from beach blankets all over the sand. There were available spots, but not many. My favorite part of this beach was the small rock outcropping which held back the larger waves and made a shallow swimming area much like a calm swimming pool. Small groups were able to stand and enjoy the water without the need to struggle against the current. The beach was natural, so palm fronds and seaweed were scattered about, but it was also clean. Trash cans were lined up at regular intervals so there was no litter. Due to the proximity to the airport, planes took off frequently nearby. It was loud, but also cool to see the planes fly so close overhead. It was fun to spend an afternoon the same way that so many local residents spent their weekend days. Next time I'm stopping for food!
