However, on a recent trip to Puerto Rico, we visited La Sibarita. I was in for a welcoming and refreshing re-introduction to cigar lounges. I am not a cigar lounge connoisseur by any means, but apparently, ventilation is everything. When we arrived, you're greeted by a dimly-lit atmosphere with welcoming bartenders. And the smell? Smoke is nonexistent. Doesn't even feel like you're in a cigar lounge. Even though I could not detect smoke inside, I feared that somehow I would be affected, so I opted for us to enjoy on the balcony. Wrong choice and he knew it, but allowed me to do what I wanted. That cigar smoke was everywhere. The upside is that on the balcony, they were playing "Scarface," which happens to be a favorite of mine. We should have stayed inside where the ventilation is great as opposed to being outside where the wind will carry the smoke. Overall, La Sibarita is a nice lounge. Decor is dark and sophisticated. Of course, there are cigars for purchase. If you bring your own, they will charge a $10 cutting fee. Enjoy!

The first night, again I was solo. NBA playoffs were on and I immediately made friends with the staff bantering back and forth! It didn't take long before I realized, this cigar lounge smelled like a regular lounge... absolutely NO cigar smell. They invested in a heavy duty filtration system which I entirely appreciate! La Sibarita occupies a small space with a balcony that holds approximately 10 people, with an outside tv. Drink prices are normal, however, cigar prices are a bit escalated. I paid $40 for a cigar that I normally pay $20 for in the states. The second time, she accompanied me. Definitley not a cigar lounge fan because of the smoke, but she's a gamer and wanted to check it out. She beelined to the patio anticipating inside would be smoky.. wrong! This is the only place I've gone to where outside was smoky and inside was not.. Picture that..LOL! I'll definitely return on my next visit, I'll just bring my own sticks and pay the $10 cut fee!!
