Park : #2/50 My goal for now til the end of the year is to review 50 parks. We frequent new parks and I hate when I can't find any updated photos for them so that's how I started my instagram @thatabcsquad to share. And now I'd like to contribute to Yelp as well. I have been eyeing this park for a while now and finally got the catch to venture up north! It's so beautiful and clean and very well thought out. - shaded parking structure - very clean restrooms - lots of grassy space - picnic tables that are fully covered (able to reserve) - baseball field - basketball courts - tennis/pickleball courts - bigger and smaller playground - ant hill to climb and slide - butterfly climbing structure - (pro/con) - wood chips What more could you ask for? Only downside would be the playground itself isn't very shaded so on hot days, it'll be rough! Highly recommend to check out if you're in the area! . Also very close to many shopping plazas! And the janss marketplace mall! read more

I had to come home from Havasu to see my babies, and I took them here for a day at the park. This was a lovely park, and my kids loved it right away. There's a lot of space for them to ride their scooters; the playground itself is big and beautiful with multiple slides and great flower theming. The best part, though, is the ant hill that they build into the park. My kids love it because it is a literal hill that you use cardboard boxes to slide down. This was the highlight for them, and they spent most of their time just sliding down and having a blast with cardboard boxes. I live in North Hollywood, so this was a drive, but it was worth it so that my kids could have a blast, which they did. This park is at the top of our list! read more

This was an absolutely beautiful park, which my son and I recently discovered - thanks to Yelp! it had everything that I could ask for: clean, safe, parking, shade, a nice play area, and on-site (CLEAN) restrooms. The playground is insect/garden themed and is absolutely beautiful. My son loved the large slide and the "ant hill." Kids had taken deconstructed boxes and made sleds out of them, and were having a blast. Love this park and can not wait to return! read more

Was this park made for me or my little ones? lol The playground here was awesome!! It seemed to have fun for all ages from little kids to bigger kids. My personal favorite was sliding down the ant hill on cardboard, but my little ones enjoyed the tall slide in the center. They have some ADA friendly play areas. There are plenty of benches to watch from if that's your vibe. There's a small picnic area as well. Only downside was we couldn't find the restroom, and it wasn't even apparent where one was. If it was in the building, that would also be quite a far trek for little person especially when they announce they need to use the restroom. It's pretty far from our usual hangouts, but it's a nice playground and because of this visit - I was able to discover other playgrounds designed by the same company that's closer to us. What a beautiful park to play at! There are entirely too many options (in a good way). So much space, so many different options for kids of all ages. Basketball court, tennis or racquet sport courts, HUGE playground with multiple play areas and a huge "ant hill" to slide down. Large covered pavilion with picnic tables. A work out area with a walking trail. There are soccer fields, a baseball field and the community center appeared to have a very nice indoor court for either basketball, volleyball, etc. as well as indoor bathrooms. We will definitely return as this was a wonderful experience for us! read more

You definitely need supervision for the toddler especially for the high tower. Very calm and a great park for all ages

The Thousand Oaks Community Center (TOCC) gets the job done when you need it to. This place teeters between 3 and 4 stars for me. I love that it has an indoor gym for basketball, an outdoor court for when other activities are occupying it, and lots of grass fields, however, aside from the playground area for kids, it is a little outdated, no doubt. I've been a patron here for years now. Having grown up in Thousand Oaks, I've been here countless times. Located right next to Thousand Oaks High School (TOHS), this place has plentiful parking, which is definitely a nice feature about this place. This is a great place to relax at on the weekends. The grass fields are spacious, and the park normally doesn't get too crowded. There are a few vending machines located throughout the park, which is a plus. Featuring tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, and more, one can definitely learn to like this place. Go ahead and check it out for yourself. read more

The T-ball instructor is too young and doesn't pay attention to the fact that she doesn't acknowledge some of the kids and doesn't allow them all to have the same amount of time hitting the ball, catching the ball or running around the bases. They need to hire somebody who's more mature and pays attention. I would not recommend you sending your three-year-old to this program. I'm sure there are much better ones out there. read more

Don't go here to play indoor sports in the gym over the summer unless you're into cooking yourself... especially if you have any health conditions. They put in all those solar panels in the parking lot to cool the office but not the gym. Typical government-run facility. Use the resources for the bureaucracy, screw the taxpayers and customers. read more

Just this past week I joined a co-ed volleyball team in a league that is organized by the TOCC. It is a nice facility, with nice balls and nets, legitimate officials and decent teams to compete against. The league consists of all ages of players and levels of experience. I highly suggest if you live in the area (or even in your own area) to look into rec sports. It felt so amazing to be back on the court again and having that competitive opportunity every week is great. I lucked out with a team that a friend had already organized but don't worry if you don't have one, you can show up during the first couple meetings before the season and they will 'draft' you. It's a great way to meet people, socialize, and stay in shape! read more

Had a Cubing competition there. It was amazing. Big open gym for it, fitting everyone. Bathrooms were nice.

Great park for kids love the bridge that connects to the parking lot of the library to the park. Theres a pond, ducks, and even a turtle. It can be a little busy during the weekends. read more
