My wife and I were headed to Raleigh to surprise our daughter for her birthday. In the past I would get a cake made where we live and just drive down with it however this time, I wanted to do something different. I did my research beginning with Yelp then cross referencing Instagram. After hours and of researching many options, I decided to reach out to Yunique's via text. Mind you, Candace (the owner) and my communications were via text only. I explained my situation, inquired if she would be interested in assisting with my plan and ultimately decided to go with her. We spent a lot of time texting, going over colors, flavors, concept ideas etc.. We were able to agree upon a concept design and that's when Candace went to work, making my ideas a reality. Long story short, everything came together nicely. We made arrangements and agreed upon time and place for pickup. I was anxious to both seeing the final product but more excited to meet the lady which made all this possible. Our daughter loved her cake surprise, both the design, the flavor profile as well as the moistness of the cake. Can't thank Candace enough, for helping with our plans and for making our daughter's birthday happen!
