My first experience here was positive; however, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. Upon entering, I was not greeted, which initially did not concern me. However, I became increasingly uncomfortable when the cashier began continuously staring at me. It was not an occasional glance -- he watched me the entire time I was in the tequila aisle. He may have been the same chunky cashier referenced in a previous 1 star review. Even when another customer called for assistance, he only looked away momentarily before returning his attention to me and monitoring my every movement. This behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. To anyone considering patronizing this establishment, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Racism and discriminatory behavior should never be tolerated.

Popped in here recently to grab a bottle of something nice for my roommate and again the other day for my other other roommates birthday... Lol... They're open until 2am everyday and share a lot with In-N-Out off Van Nuys Blvd and Moorpark St which can get crowded on weekends. More than a bit on the pricey side compared to other beverage retailers, however almost always usually good for a quick time crunch or at least reliable kind service regardless of stock.

The generous portion of chicken was lightly fried and topped with an equally light tomato sauce that complimented the chicken and cheese rather than overwhelming them. The flavor and texture were spot on, and the robust Cacio E Pepe made for a very nice pairing. Me? I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, once Chris assured me it was made the traditional way rather than doused in cream as so many places now do. And indeed, the spaghetti was textbook al dente, dressed with with egg yolk and cheese that combined into a richly satisfying sauce. The pancetta brought a touch of salt and plenty of smoky accents, making this about as top notch a version of this dish as you're likely to find in the Valley. Cannoli were sweet and rich; a wonderful palate cleanser at the end of our meal. A Pepperoni Pizza taken to go for our kids at home looked absolutely first rate. Did I mention my martini? Properly made, cool and crisp, and only $15. Quite the bargain for this side of town. This review is a warning of a dangerous man working behind the cash register. Dear Sherman Oaks neighbors and future customers, please note that there is a bald middle-old age man with glasses working behind the counter who scared my 13 year old daughter and me while I was trying to cash a few lottery tickets. He was very angry since the moment we walked in - he even shoved a paper in my face in front of my child. I was very scared and embarrassed. I asked him why he was being so rude and he replied by angrily staring at my face, saying that I am being the rude one even though I had previously had no conversation with him. I thought he was ready to attack me and my child. Please read other reviews (also filtered reviews) related to this man who has threatened, cursed, and scared many customers. Whatever you do, please do not go to this store because of this psychotic man who is there all the time behind the counter. read more

I love this nice liquor store of Sherman Oaks. I stopped by yesterday. The staff was so helpful as I picked 6 bottles of wine to get an extra 10% off. I think I found my new favorite liquor store with great selection ,service and prices. There is a great rotating beer selection and large alcohol selection. The service is amazing, Z knows about everything and always has a great story or anecdote. The beer prices are generally lower then any other corner store or market and there's always a great deal for a 12 pack. read more

I've been in so much just for super lotto and various scratcher as well as the occasional night cap or day snack. They have an easy but well utilized layout with small isles of items and plenty of room to navigate about. Metro Liquors off Magnolia and Van Nuys Blvd is a family run mum and pop biz with a lot of wonderful people who run it. They run out of Topo Chico often, my absolute seltzer obsession, but they have plenty of good craft brew options not to mention a solid selection of wine and spirits. Being a neighborhood market of sorts they do carry those small personal hygienic items, accessories, canned food, condiments, paper goods and even some pet related items as there are lots of dog owners and lovers in the area. Technically on the corner of Tilden and Magnolia off a small residential street just behind the Acura of Sherman Oaks dealership... You can find a fair amount of easy parking close by or if your in the area... It's a very easy one day entrance/exit for access. There's usually a good movie or TV show on the screen they have on the floor which I sometime stop and enjoy with whoever is on duty for a beat. Definitely worth checking out even for just some of the best customer service in LA, hands down.

Parking is easy as the lot wraps around the building and is shared with the laundromat and restaurant .
