Great local neighborhood market and really convenient to have nearby. The staff is friendly, and they carry a good selection of everyday staples and essentials. I'd love to see them expand their selection of healthier options--more fresh, organic, minimally processed foods, better-for-you snacks, and higher-quality natural products. I think adding more of those items alongside the standard staples would make this already great neighborhood market even better and give locals even more reason to shop here regularly. read more

I have been to this lovely, quaint grocery, wine & Spirits, Beer, Cigars place several times and always wanted to write a review on them. Well, I guess today is the day. This store is above & beyond great in every way on every level. It is very nicely organized, full of stuff to buy from alcohol, to ready made salads, to the deli, all the way to chips, pastry, candy, meat, dairy, can food, pet food, fresh fruits and vegetables, and you get the point. A lot of good things. Prices are reasonable and very affordable. Easy to navigate all the aisles without bumping in to each other. So close to my home, and so many times I have made a contribution/donation to the food pantry to the Little Brown Church that is right across from M&M Liquor/market store. They really have everything. Conveniently located at the corner of Moorpark & Coldwater Canyon. Go check them out. You will LOVE this mini market. Shelves are always full! Products nicely facing the customers. It really is a convenient store without the hustle and the bustle. Excellent customer service by all the employees. The store is always nicely curated, clean and it has a restroom that you can use only if they allow you to. Plenty of parking spaces. read more

If you need a butcher in the valley, this is the place. Best tri-tip and Italian sausage. And if you're lucky enough and felt special enough and offered to get guacamole, get it. Also, they love dogs and they got stuff for your dogs. That'll change your dogs lives. The barbecue guy out front is OK but the butcher inside they're their own people family and run business forever. read more

12-15 dollar whole chickens that don't have that scar tissue that you get in grocery store chickens that get pumped pull of hormones. Great price for a chicken that could easily be served in a michelin star establishment if prepared right. Pretty decent liquor selection as well. read more

M & M is a longstanding market with a great selection of grocery, pantry and beverage options. I'm always surprised when I find spirits and craft beer on sale. The service is always the best and super friendly. It's got a lot of nostalgic touches from the layout to the checkout to the intimate isles definitely easier for one person at a time to the fully stocked shelves and cold as well as frozen items. You can find fresh produce on the far side of the store before the deli aka Hardy's which is on the North facing side of the market aka to the left when you enter. I personally don't have any use for the traditional meat side of things being plant-based, but they very do well. M & M markets caters to any and all they even carry some vegetarian/vegan as well as gluten-free products I find at the grocery store with slightly higher yet fair prices... To be expected considering they're a small biz with big business energy! I definitely try to bring home an item or three... Even more so when it's wine & spirits. I generally take the local Van Nuys - Studio City Dash bus over when in this neighborhood on the cusp of Sherman Oaks /start of Studio City. A lot of locals tend to frequent M & M Market both on foot and by vehicle... So the parking lot is never full even when they get busy and do they ever get busy! You can also purchase lottery tickets and scratchers here. Another win in my book. Scored $10 here on a scratcher and a free ticket last time. Definitely a solid place to pop in for a cold beverage or frozen treat on any day, but especially a summer day if you're passing by. read more

Stopped in for some much needed liquid refreshments before attending a party. Their selection is great. Prices are in line with what you'd expect in this area. Plenty of parking, easy in and easy out. Deli counter looks inviting, so I'll be back to check that out. Also, for the cigar oficianados, they have a selection of those as well. Of course, the Ladyfriend in all of her humorous glory, couldn't help but bring up Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky's fun with a cigar. I'm more blown away that happened in 1998! Time flies don't it? Love this little market! Most of the time they have what I'm coming for... champagne! I've also been able to find certain items that were sold out at larger grocery stores here (not cans of Libby pumpkin) but other essentials. They are walking distance for me but also an easy stop when you need a bottle of something to bring to a friends house, just for pizza and champagne Friday nights or when the Chiefs get their first win in SoFi. They've really become my go-to neighborhood adult bevvie run spot during these past six months. They accept Apple Pay which is a plus. We've lived close to this market for 10 years and walk over multiple times per week. The service is friendly, and they carry international foods and hard-to-find foods. For instance, we were looking for Amarena cherries, which are difficult to find in bigger grocery stores but M & M had them. They have European chocolate. They have quality products, and as someone who eats healthy, it's not hard to find clean, high-quality products. We run over for cooking oils all the time. Great selection of alcohol, too...they even carry sake. They simply have a surprisingly large selection of quality goods that are hard to find. And they really cater to locals. They remember your name and your dog's name. Just a quality place with quality people. read more

I love neighborhood markets! They're quaint and have character. When I first walked in I thought it was a standard liquor store because that's what I first saw. All the bottles and displays. But M&M Market is much more than a liquor store. It has a produce section! It's a small selection but it's beautiful produce. It's on the far left side. Check it out. It has a meat and hot-food counter. It's Hardy's Meats (also on the left as you walk in). Very helpful counter staff. Wonderful selection. The counter also sells steaks, chickens, etc. that you can take home and cook yourself. And they have wood fired barbeque on the weekends. You have to put this on your weekend schedule! If you are looking for dry-goods, they have a decent selection so you can get one or two things without going to a full-blown grocery store! The check-out counter staff are efficient but not so personable. I think they have zero customer service training but, they get you out quickly so I look beyond that because it's a cute little corner grocer and I'm glad they're here. read more

Quick Review: Liquor store + BBQ joint in one. Plus they serve killer sammie's!!! This is my go to sandwich spot in Studio City. They BBQ a bunch of different cuts of meat in the morning and serve em up during the day. You can either buy the meat separate, like ribs, or they'll make you fresh sandwiches with them. BBQ beef to Turkey pastrami, they got you covered. I usually go for the BBQ turkey. It's basically turkey breasts that've been BBQ smoked, then carved to order. The rest of the liquor store also goT it going on. All types of wines and imports. European candy bars, JUST a ton of stuff to get you fat, drunk, and stupid..er then you already are. read more

I always drive by this and never stopped by. All I knew was they sell Dippin' Dots inside! *ah childhood*. I finally decided to stop by today, since the pandemic started I have been having trouble finding all purpose flour. The parking lot was not full, and there was no line to go inside. I went inside, and although they did not have all purpose flour, they did all other types of flour though! They have a good variety of British chocolates, shout out to Kinder. They have Mrs. Meyers hand soap, name brand laundry detergent, and Ben & Jerry's. It was a quick trip, in and out within 10 minutes. I will continue to shop here throughout the pandemic, and can't wait until I can spend more time browsing the stores to see what else they have to offer. read more

I live down the street from this shop and it's great. The employees are lovely they have an impressive selection for a corner market and my partner loves to grab sandwiches from their deli. This is probably my favorite market in the area. The craft beer selection is out of this world. This neighborhood market also has a great selection of European chocolates and cookies as well (rare commodity in a a place that also has liquor). I've also noticed that their prices are significantly lower than other stores in the area. The owner is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. If I'm a couple pennies short, he let's it go with no fuss. I love him! I've had nothing but positive experiences here. It's really disappointing when you try to support local businesses and they end up PRICE GAUGING their customers. I bought flour and sugar to bake my mom a birthday cake and they charged me $15.00. So I was dog-sitting for a friend in the Valley. And I had a Friday night to kill with the pups. And stopped by this place to grab some beer and a snack. The meat market inside looked really good. My buddy has a grill. I bought thier stuffed double-thick pork chop and some Golden Road Hefeweizen. Got home, cracked a beer. Seared that fat pork chop on either side, then took it off the direct heat and closed the grill for 25 minutes. Played with the dogs. Then... OH MY FUCKING GOD. Maybe the best thing I've EVER cooked. Juicy, intensely flavorful, I inhaled that thing. I'll drive across town -- in to the Valley -- to go back for one of these pork chops. So, yes, I reccommend M & M. read more

This is my spot! I'm here every day because I always forget something or I'm too lazy to drive to the store. It's got great selection of imported and local beer! Wine selection is not bad. The owner is super cool and listens to suggestions (I am known to give those for free) Told him to get gluten free pasta, and other items that are health conscious. He did. The meat counter is busy too. They have Natural chicken, beef, ground turkey and beef bones that are frozen. Use them for soup stock. they are yummy! They do BBQ on the weekend out front, it smells from a far, But ... I've had it few times and it's too dry cause they prob leave it on for too long... Anyway, love this place.
