Walked in today around 6:30pm and was greeted by Kaleb. All I wanted was to buy few lottery tickets. He was somewhat friendly, and somewhat helpful. We had a little hiccup at the store about the lotto tickets and it wasn't anyone's fault. Later John came to give him a break since he had to go use the restroom. He gave me back $17.00 and I left the store. After I sorted things out on my own, I repurchased the lotto tickets and everything was fine. I really needed to go to the restroom and kept telling him that I need to go. He wouldn't budge, and I went next door and they gladly let me use their restroom. Later, I needed to buy Gatorade, and it was on sale. 2 large ones. 2 for $6.00. Store was clean, and very well organized. They not only had liquor, but everything else from A to Z. I was going to give this store 5 solid stars, since Kaleb STRONGLY refused for me to use the restroom, that is why I docked a star. When you have to go, YOU HAVE TO GO!! read more

This place is incredible! I loved the store's layout, and the staff was friendly during my visit. But the real highlight for me was the beer cave. While it's not the largest I've been to, it's one of the few in the North Hollywood area, and it's fantastic. They had a great selection of IPAs from local breweries, and the variety made it tough to choose. I ended up spending more time in the freezing cooler than I planned and might've even caught a cold but it was totally worth it. I discovered some Sierra Nevada beers I'd never seen before and had to grab those "rad little things". After spending time in the beer cave, I wandered over to the candy aisle and found even more unique snacks and treats. This place has so much variety, and I absolutely love it! I'm educated , well dressed, kind and personable. I walked into the liquor store and said hello . The lady at the front told me immediately to leave my belongings at the front . I said " I'm not going to steal anything " you can watch me, I have valuables in my bag " she then turns and tells me that "it's store policy " I then look around and see a lady with 2 bags on her arm . I hate being racially profiled . And instead of being apologetic, she was very rude and doubled down . Black people do not shop here , there is a cheaper liquor store across the street. I encourage you all to not support racist business owners ! We can't tolerate being mistreated and judged because of our skin color ! I don't pull the race card at all . I was simply profiled for being black ! So sad and disappointed because I'm always at the fifth bar and I would come here for necessities. Now I'm forced to go elsewhere due to racism! read more

Booze & Brews where have you been hiding my entire Los Angeles Valley life... One of two locations in the San Fernando Valley B&B2 of Valley Village just past the border of Sherman Oaks as well as Studio City adjacent. This incredible well stocked and laid out wine & spirit shop is one of a kind with great deals on just about everything from whiskey to craft brew to some of my favorite wines. Booze & Brews has tons of cold beverages both adult and non including soft drinks, seltzer, energy, sports and a lot of favs you'd find in a local convenience store and then some. They also offer snacks, mixers and a few limited party supplies like cups, salts, syrups and even games. I considered buying a bottle of Prisoner Red, as it was an amazing price point, better than any mom & pop shop, larger chain spirit retailer like BevMo or Total Wine and even on parr with Mission Wine & Spirits. Color me impressed. I was bit overwhelmed with all the options especially with the walk-in fridge section for craft brew, but took my time strolling about all the large isles... As I was staying at the new hotel mariposa just up Riverside Drive and strolled over after dinner. I ended up with a bottle of Adam Carolla's White Peach & Pear Mangria which I haven't had in years but it was chilled and at an unbeatable price, like under $10. Overall I had a solid first visit...And will be back as I'm local and love to support local and small... My only downside while visiting was the woman who rang me up... She was very sweet, but made a weird suggestion that implied I didn't set everything I picked up throughout the store on the register that just didn't sit right with me... I did pause down parts of this great shop to take pictures of isles and things... So I could leave a good review of two (google)... But that's me almost any place I go. Wow this place is my new spot! 3 months ago I decided to hit this spot up on my way home and wow it just has about everything . I have a young mind and it just has hot trending snacks and goodies that fill my tummy. And boy where do I even start about the amazing service it has to offer. The young woman is always on top of her stuff and the young male is in my opinion my new best buddy. He always is so relatable and we always have a good chat everytime I stop bye. I love the customer service and the amazing quality service whenever I go. I'm a very shy person and always feel a warm welcome as soon as I walk in the door. this is hands down one of the must hidden gems in Los Angeles. I recently checked out Booze and Brews, and it was a great experience. The selection was impressive, with everything from local craft beers to premium wines and spirits. The walk in beer cave was just the cherry on top to my experience. The store was clean and well-organized, making it easy to browse. The staff were all very delightful and helpful. The owner, Rana, is always very nice, and boy does she know beer. They always give back to the community with the offerings of 10% off! The pricing is great as well too. best tequila selection I've seen so far in small local liquor stores. the requisite celebrity offerings, meh- but the growing additive free selections were nice to see. Picked up a bottle of LALO blanco tequila. Close to work so will be stopping by often. Friendly proprietor behind the counter, easy to talk to. How Booze & Brews Saved Our Halloween Look, this is a strange year. We won't be going to Halloween parties, smoky concerts, or bizarre haunt experiences. Sad pumpkins all around for Halloween heads like us, but we'll soldier on. But we decided that if we're staying in, we're still going to dress up, and we're also going to mix up some home made Zombie cocktails. These drinks are tasty and industrial strength, but they also call for a lot of specific and hard-to-find ingredients. When I wandered into Booze & Brews asking for Velvet Falernum (of all things), they could have easily said "What? Get outta here Chad, and stop being such a Chad." But instead, they were super kind and helpful, and the owner Rana special ordered a bottle for us. Boom. Others have mentioned the beer cave, and so will I: it rocks. Great mix of old go-tos and new craft brews. Top shelf liquor wall is also impressive, with some tasty niche bottles. We'll be testing our Zombie recipe out tonight (because practice makes perfect). Glad to have this spot near where I live. I'm all about craft beers and IPA's and they have a cold beer cave! Very nice selections and the owner was very friendly in helping me pick something out. I chose a couple of brews, this 4 pack of Made West IPA 6.9% alcohol which was a lighter tasting drinking beer & a 6 pack of Voodoo Ranger at 9% which was the buzz I was after! Next visit I plan to try the Santa Monica brand beer and the limited edition Lagunitas currently in stock. Will be shopping here again soon! read more

I love Booze and Brews 2 - they've been such an awesome neighborhood place to go for wine (and my bf's cigs) especially since the pandemic hit. I wasn't comfortable browsing in large grocery stores, really trying to limit my exposure. But here, they have a great selection of wines (I'm rather particular!), plenty of room to shop, and I'm rarely in there with other customers (which made me feel very comfortable, risk-wise), AND not only do they carry the brand of cigs my bf smokes, but they started carrying them in cartons for us, which I really appreciated. In addition, they stock a great selection of snacks and necessities like milk and tp! Rana and Mike are helpful and fun to talk to. So happy to have discovered them. read more

This is a beautiful store with a great selection. Many stores in Southern California carry a small stock of Bourbon but Booze and Brews #2 has a great selection. I found a bottle that was very difficult to get my hands on and I could not have loved the purchase any more! The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. What can I say except I love B&B's#2. I stop there practically everyday while walking my dog, I love the selection of drinks and the sweets which fill my craving. I've lived very close for 25 years now and so far this has been the best use of the space by far. Great work Rana. The alcohol has it all, top top-shelf, down to the normal shelf and all in-between. Everyone there are the best. Very friendly and helpful and that's such a refreshing experience compared to most markets that claim to be like this one. Susie and Rona always have a treat and for my dog so he makes sure we stop by every walk we take. It's giving me everything I need from a corner market, my corner market.
