It's like it's set up to do that so people won't return anything. It takes forever, the cashier gets flustered, customers in line get irritated. Why exactly is this an ongoing thing? Also every single time I try to use a coupon there is an issue. Half the time I leave the store and the coupon wasn't applied. This includes coupons procured in their own special personalized coupon book. Crazy right? Do better Natural Grocers! I have this problem nowhere else. As in NOWHERE. Then I go to check out and there's only one station open. The gal is counting out her drawer and I totally understand that she is busy but she did not acknowledge or say I'll be right with you. Nothing. Finally, after standing there for a long period of time I just picked up my stuff and went to the self checkout station. The cake I grabbed had the barcode on the side so I couldn't tip it to scan it, and there are two employees having a conversation about Covid and after finally noticing me, trying to figure out how to scan it, the guy walks up and doesn't say a word and just scans it, and then walks away. The customer service at the store today was extremely disappointing. Especially when it's compared to Trader Joe's. I stopped by Trader Joe's just before this and every single employee I encountered at the store was friendly and greeted me. I also watched as another person who is handing out samples at Trader Joe's, drop everything to help an elderly lady find something on the other side of the store. Take note Whole Foods. PLEASE READ!!! My…read morepartner and I stopped at this store a few days ago on our way home to see if they had glass pieces, which they do not. We noticed CBD cat treats on sale on the counter, and an employee mentioned their CBD dog treats. We have a dog with separation anxiety, so we bought some to try. When we got home, we found that the treats were a brownish color and hard as rocks. Our dog was unable to eat them thankfully, despite multiple tries. The expiration date said 08/28 so we thought the package must have been opened and the treats dried out before we bought them. Yesterday we tried to return them but all CBD sales are final. After some conversation with the nice lady at the counter where we showed her the treats, she called whoever is in charge and they were "gracious" enough to exchange the box for a different one with the exact same 08/28 expiration date, but at least the treats were a more vibrant yellow color like on the box. We got home, and these treats were just as hard as the others. I couldn't even break one with a hammer! I contacted the manufacturer with pictures and the hammer video to see what was going on and hopefully exchange them for some good treats, and it turns out these treats expired in 2023 and somebody deliberately changed the 3 to an 8. This is not okay. We were intentionally sold an expired, unusable product that could have made our dog very sick if he was able to eat it. As it is, we're watching for signs of illness because he did really try chewing on them but so far so good. I will never visit this place again, and I do not recommend anyone else come here either.
