Dr Dietrich did a right hip replacement on me last year and the left one a month ago. Both operations went smoothly and there was surprisingly little pain both times but some of that was due no doubt to hydrocodone and celecoxib. I used a walker for a few days and a cane for about a week but after that did not need assistance. In one month I was able to walk normally without pain or limping for the first time in years. I think Dr Dietrich is exceptionally good. The internist who referred him said he was the type of surgeon who comes along once in a generation and I would agree. read more

He came highly recommended by Dr. Cho, my E.N.T. doc based at Cedar Sinai in Beverly Hills, who referred me specifically to Tim. Tim has helped me manage my vertigo and dizziness ....with massage neck therapy and with exercises. Tim always checks in with me throughout my sessions. Dr. Rishi Garg is the best orthopedic surgeon in the business. I sprained my knee earlier in the year and with Dr. Garg's treatment and advice, I am feeling so much better. He is truly one of the most caring doctors I've ever met and takes his time to explain things thoroughly. He is very conservative in his treatments and I never felt pressured with his recommendations. I was afraid I had a torn meniscus but after 2 MRIs, Dr. Gary confirmed no tears and just needed some physical therapy to get my knee stronger. I went to do PT and was even kicked out early because I had good results quickly. Very happy to have found this doctor with such kind care and expertise. The office is great with a large waiting room. There's also a big free parking lot with ample parking outside which is always a big plus. read more

Put appointment was scheduled at 9am and we waited until 9:45am to asked the staff why is it taking for so long. She replied the doctor is running longer. Finally at 9:50 am we expressed our frustration for waiting a long time. Dr. Grag told us that the last patient was taking a long time and will not stop talking. He told us that it is hard to predict at the doctors office and if we don't like it we can go somewhere else. DO NOT come here. Went in very early October, took ONE month to get an MRI (I had to even drive there and physically request an appointment because they weren't answering the phone). Got an MRI the last week of October. After the MRI it took 1.5 weeks to see Dr. Quigley to discuss the results and for him to recommend PT. Today is 11/20, called Elite Motion to find out why they haven't called me to set up appointments for PT, they said they don't do therapy for wrists! First, how does the doctor who has been working there for a long time not know they don't do occupational therapy and second, why did Elite Motion not call me to tell me that I need to go elsewhere. By the way, my husband is also currently under Dr. Quigley's care and his experience is the same, maybe even a bit worse. This place is the biggest waste of time and money, we will never go back. read more

I am 7 weeks postpartum and experiencing excruciating pain on my wrists which I thought was arthritis. I found Dr. Lin through my insurance network search for orthopedic. I called to make an appointment and was able to get an appointment to see him the same week. The wait was about 30 mins which wasn't too bad. After my X-rays, Dr. Lin saw me and told me that I actually have something called Mommy's thumb due to putting a lot of pressure on my hands and wrists with my twins. He gave me the different options that I have to treat it and I chose to get cortisone shots. I thought I would have to make an appointment to come back, but instead he gave me the shots then and there. He offered me wrist splints as I do not have one at home. They were able to bill my insurance for the visit and the splints. It was so easy and fast. I was able to get home in time to pump for my twins. Overall experience was great, I recommend Dr. Lin if you have joint pain with hands. read more

I got 2 cortisone shots in my wrist and my wrist has been worse ever since about 6 months ago. Not only does it hurt more I lost range of motion on it. If I knew there was a possibility that it could be worse I would of not got the shots. Also their front desk services are terrible at getting back to you and making appointments. Expect waiting anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour for the doctor. Now onto the physical therapy, if you do not have insurance expect to pay $20 per minute. I am just clueless how you can charge that amount regardless of having insurance or not. read more

The orthopedic doctors are honest, clear, and demonstrate the importance of returning to an active life. I am always impressed by care, particularly in difficult situations which require a patient and expert team. I must add that it is much easier to repair via pt, treatments, or surgical intervention. I am certain to be well prepared and knowing that one has 2 hospitals, outpatient treatments, and physicians who work with on site pt. I also know of so many offices from friends that office staff are not knowledgeable or employee amazing medical assistants and techs. Consider how long one might wait to find a knowledgeable physician,, tech or appointment at mri. These doctors are respectful, knowledgeable, and in my opinion being unable to move is not the outcome of a positive respect! I want to thank my expert doctors at both offices as my best life needs to be considered and that could be different. Truth in outcome possibility is discussed thoroughly! For everything and everyone! Btw- the office is was Cedars and it is amazing to me the people that smile when you re- meet the group! Today I had an MRI at the Arcadia Congress location and just had to say it was the best experience I've ever had ... and being almost 50 I've had a lot! The front office at the MRI office is always filled with the kindest, most caring professionals but today was a notch above. They run on schedule which is hard to do and so appreciated by those of us who work and find it hard to take time for appointments. The young women today were helpful and genuinely cared about making the scan as comfortable as possible. I was given an extra pillow for my back which made a huge difference and let me pick the style of music (70s/80s classic rock of course) which was so comforting I ended up falling asleep during the mri for a bit! Knowing they were there to make sure the scan went well and that I was alright meant the world to me and I'm sure that's just how they handle themselves every day at work. I appreciate them SO much and no longer dread medical procedures like an MRI knowing I am in such wonderful hands. Thank you so much ladies!! You're simply the best!! read more

I've been going to Congress Orthopedic since 2015, after a car accident. Beginning with a T12 fracture, surgery by Dr. Joe Lee, and rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Garg, and Dr. Lin who takes care of my arthritic hands. Including several weeks of physical therapy on-site after my surgeries. I"'m surprised at the negative reviews about the doctors and staff at Congres, but not surprised about the complaints and what is happening to cause the complaints. It's not just at Congress Orthopedic where good medical care has changed when medical care becomes secondary to profits. Patient care appears to have changed since partnering with Cedars-Sinai and Huntington Health, as reported: "Long-Established Practices Come Together With Cedars-Sinai and Huntington Health to Strengthen Orthopedic Care Across Local Communities". (That's a monopoly of sorts.) It is sad to see what should be better for communities has become primarily profit-making for investors/companies instead of the patients they care for. It's been my experience that not all doctors agree with putting profits before patient care. I left my long-time clinic in San Gabriel after the original doctors retired or quit, due to new reduction of consultation time with patients, and the constant turn-over of new doctors. I recently noticed the difference when making an appointment at Congress Orthopedic. Yes, the phone rang a long time before a recording answered the phone. After selecting the choice number, it rang a long time again. I disconnected and tried again. I made the appointment and was asked for personal information that Congress already had on record. The person apologized and said the new system required it. Okay, I understand new procedures, so I complied. A couple of days later I received an email from Congress requesting the same personal information. I'm aware that emailing pre-appointment registration has become the norm with medical clinics, so complied. When I arrived for my appointment I was given a form to provide the same personal information for the third time. Again an apology was forthwith because the new merger required it. I understand how patients are frustrated when companies/businesses implement change. Imagine how frustrated doctors must be when they know they are cheating their patients of quality care, for company profits. It's reported that now more people live longer, more people have insurance, and medical care has become a profitable business. Also reported, the US has a shortage of medical doctors because many doctors don't want to carry the burden of sacrificing patient health care for company profits. In this day of high expectations for better health care, we want better service. But, also we should be informed about what is the problem preventing doctors from doing their job. Patients should speak up, and speak to their doctor about anything that is not acceptable. I have been an ongoing patient at Congress Orthopedic for nine years. During the challenging months after my car accident recovering from surgery, follow-up appointments with my doctors, and then physical therapy, having everything I needed in one location was a blessing when I couldn't drive. Thanks to my doctors at Congress Orthopedic and their staff, I will continue to be a patient at Congress unless my doctors quit. read more

Wasted so much of my time. I found Congress Orthopedics through my insurance providers network search. I confirmed when I made the appointment that they were in network as well. I waited two excruciating weeks with terrible pain in my lower back for their first available appt. Prior to going in I filled out multiple forms through their app to avoid having to do it at the office. When I got there I was asked to fill out the paperwork and told that even though they requested me to do it through the app that they don't actually have access to see any of that and so I just wasted my time (awesome!). So I sat in the waiting room and spent another 30 minutes filling out the exact same paperwork that I had already submitted virtually. Ok, mistakes happen, so I hand it in again. Another 20 minutes goes by and I am then told that they are actually out of network and in order to see the doctor I would be paying out of network costs. She told me that they called and left a voicemail advising me of this (nope) but I have no voicemails and no missed calls and I don't delete any of those so I know for a fact that that is not true. On top of that, why make me spend another 30 minutes filling out paperwork if you were already aware and had my name when I checked in? So I immediately go to my car and call my insurance company, United Healthcare who I have PPO / Choice Plus coverage through. United Healthcare assures me that this doctor is within their network coverage and they even called the office on my behalf and spent another hour + arguing with them on the phone to no avail. They refuse to let me see this doctor with whom I have had an appointment with for the past two weeks and I am assured by my insurance provider it is covered and I'm in network. But they say they are willing to schedule me another appointment weeks out with a different doctor at the same office. This has been such a waste of my time and effort and I spent the last two weeks sitting at my desk job in grueling pain thinking it will hopefully be over soon when I can start getting the medical care that I need. Unfortunately, almost all orthopedic surgeon providers in the area through my UHC are with Congress Orthopedics. I now scheduled an appointment with a provider that is a much further drive out just so I don't ever have to deal with this provider again. I honestly don't know why they have such good reviews on Google, (yelp seems closer to accurate) based on my own experience I completely disagree and I would recommend that anybody else look for a different office. read more

My reviews are: -My appointment was t 10:00am and was called in an hour later -Waited another 20 minutes for the doctor. The doctor only took 10 minutes and said i need an MRI. -Got my MRI recommendation and went to MRI office to make an appt. MRI canceled my appt. because they said it was denied by my insurance. Per my insurance they needed more information from the doctor. Fast forward, nothing was done after and even calling the doctors office it's a recording and even said, "Don't leave multiple messages and they will call me back" Never returned my call or even to tell me what's the next step. For 3 weeks I followed up and called but NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL NOT EVEN FROM THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT OF the DOCTOR. Very unprofessional and doesn't care for their patience. read more

I have been going here and have been happy with the quality of care but trying to get my medical records is a nightmare. They have hired an incompetent outside service. It's $50 to get the records copied and sent. I paid $100 so the records would be sent to 2 doctors. SO far no records have been received and the outside service has no idea what is going on. Due to an injury as a kid that turned into a elbow nerve issue in adulthood, I saw quite a few doctors here at Congress. Dr. Moscarello, Dr. Quigley, Dr. Ritton are all great! Dr. Lin whom I had surgery with is amazing! He's caring, polite, listens and explains everything carefully. I'm so happy I was referred to him to take care of my issue. Surgery was not my first choice however I felt confident after talking to Dr. Lin and I know he would do a great job in fixing the issue. I didn't even need physical therapy after just a lot of TLC. The staff here also works every hard. They all gave me various quotes that I needed before the surgery. Kudos to front desk manager Maria S. for taking care of all my forms for HR and EDD. They do charge $25 for each form here, but that's just business. Many doctors does the same nowadays even if you need something sign for your kids' school from a pediatrician. I think one of the downside is they do get very busy, probably because the doctors end up spending more time with each patient. So there maybe a wait time of 30-45 mins for your scheduled appoinement. At the end, all I care is good treatment and a healthy elbow! read more

MRI was ordered at a different site which also doesn't answer phone and they had the wrong info but the technician was fine. Now I am trying to make the follow-up w/dr but no-one answers phone, the web portal doesn't allow making appts, and when I used a different site - Congress Ortho - my doctor was listed but in the request his name isn't on the list!!! I have had complicated back pain for over 10 years, through a referral from my PCP, I became a patient of Dr. Hindoyan at Congress Orthopaedic. In my first visit to Dr. Hindoyan, he reviewed my X-rays, discussed diagnosis clearly, as well as treatment options. I didnt know what to expect, but became truly comfortable in his explanation of the back pain then being experienced. Dr. Hindoyan performed a procedure of which went well, after which I opt to have back surgery. The surgery was successful and after 10 years I'm pain free and preparing for Physical Therapy.
