Dr Henry Peng has been my primary care doctor for over 15 years. I have seen many doctors through out my life and Dr Peng stands out from the rest. Dr Peng is hands down the best overall doctor. You will never find a doctor who is as attentive, personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I have gotten to know him through several visits and he's quite accommodating to my busy work schedule too. Dr Peng has my complete trust and I know I can depend on him for all of my medical needs. His practice is extreme busy but you will need to book several weeks out. But when you have to go in for an emergency visit, there are 2 other partners who are there as well. His staff are quite friendly and overall I know I can always count on Dr Peng and his staff. Don't bother with this practice. They don't accept new ppo patients. My insurance company even called them to confirm if they are taking new patients. They confirmed. Today, when I called in to make an appointment they said they are no longer accepting new patients. The front desk was making all sorts of excuse stating my insurance must made a mistake. I was on the phone with my insurance company when they made the call. They probably have enough business thus no longer cares of obtaining new patients. Unpleasant experience. read more

I'm very disappointed in this office. My co-worker spoke highly of this doctor, but when I called to try to make an appointment, the receptionist said that they reserve immediate openings for his HMO patients. I have PPO insurance, and she advised that the earliest he can see me is in 10 days later. So happen that I have a conference meeting out of town that Thursday and Friday, and the receptionist advised that he's on vacation the following week and can not see me until end of August. I highly recommend Dr Henry Peng. He is a top notch doctor in all aspects. He always takes time to answer all of my questions and not once has he rushed through an appointment. He explains everything with patience and detail which is why i'm so thankful he is my doctor. I love it when I'm not even out of the parking lot and I receive a text from CVS saying my medication is ready. I brought my limping yet still active 6-year old to get examined by Dr. Peng after he complained of pain in his right heel for 2-3 days. He had no visible inflammation or injury of the heel to the naked eye. Dr. Peng was able to see him within 24-hours of my call and the wait time at the front office was minimal compared to most internal med offices. In addition, the front office staff is polite and friendly and the office itself is clean and modern in appearance. Dr. Peng was super friendly and totally made my son feel at ease, who normally gets very anxious at any medical facility. After a number of questions, he did an ultrasound on my son's heel and diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis but wanted to rule out a growth plate issue so we got an x-ray done just right across the street. The x-ray result was normal as he suspected and we began to treat my son's PF with rest and ice. This was over a week ago and my son's heel pain is no more. Thanks Dr. Peng! Had my mammogram done in August. Then on 9/5, got a letter from Dr. Peng' clinic that the doctor had ordered a breast ultrasound for me. I scheduled the ultrasound with Radiology right away and the earliest appointment available was for 10/15/18. Took couple hours off from work today to do this procedure. Arrived to the radiology office and was told the doctor did not submit for authorization to my insurance company. The radiology staff called the clinic and a staff said they did not know an authorization is needed from the insurance company for ultrasound. Seriously? Had to reschedule my ultrasound and it is not until for a month later. read more

First off, Dr. Peng is the best. I began seeing him many years ago. I then moved all around and found my way back to SoCal in 2018. My employer offers a health insurance discount if I get an annual wellness check. I scheduled to have this wellness check at Dr. Peng's office and unfortunately he was not available so I saw one of his associates in the same office 10/15/2018. Fast forward to January 2020, I receive my FIRST bill for this service from 10/15/2018. (This is the first issue, 14 months to bill seems a bit long) Since the visit was for preventative care and should have been covered at 100% I call my insurance provider. They said the service should have been coded as preventative care but it was not and to call the health care provider. I called and spoke with Erin in the office and she said that yes a physical would be covered as preventative care but it was not coded as such. When I called to schedule my wellness exam whomever scheduled did not put physical or wellness they put first time consultation. After going around and around with Amelia Bedelia and both parties gaining much frustration she said she could speak with her office manager about the billing issue. I received a call back stating the office manager said the billing was correct and if I did not agree with it I could find a different office. Sounds to me like a bit of insurance fraud is practiced by this office staff and billing...Pretty shady stuff! It's been real Dr. Peng but I am afraid I will not be back to see you. read more

Dr. Peng is a great doctor but the office, not so much. The wait to see the doctor is ALWAYS long. I've been there several times and even though I have appointments every time, I don't get seen until at least 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time. It's happened when my appointment was the first one in the morning, 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and even right before the office closes. The front desk staff also needs to be retrained on medical billing procedures. They once tried to charge me a co-pay when all I was there for was to get an immunization shot--no meeting with the doctor or anything. When I told her that Dr. Peng told me otherwise, she said that she wouldn't charge me at that moment but that my insurance would bill me later. Okay, thanks.... I don't usually write reviews, but I appreciated my first experience with Dr. Peng so much that'd it would be a crime not to. As soon as I step foot inside I immediately notice how clean the place is and how extremely helpful and friendly the staff is. When I met Dr. Peng he was very attentive in listening to all my problems and made sure he was very thorough in his explanations. Something I REALLY appreciated that he did was taking the time to get to know me on a personal level as well and understanding the really fine details making him that much more of a professional doctor. He took the time to educate me on what was going on with me and my body so that I could really understand. I also wanted to give him points for being very ethical and looking out for what's best for me and not pushing his own agenda as other doctors have. He then printed out and explained rehab exercises that I could do for my ankle which also really helped along with the resistance band he gave me. TL;DR Dr. Peng is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and you should not hesitate come and make this man your GP or family doctor you will NOT be disappointed. I cannot say enough about Dr Peng and his staff. I called a few days ago with severe pain in my stomach. They booked an appointment for me the next day and today I am recovering from gallbladder removal surgery. I've been suffering for a while with this because I always thought it was just gas or indigestion. Dr peng did not waste any time. He recognized that I was in pain and sent me straight over for an ultrasound. Rapidly received the results and referred me right over to the surgeon who was also excellent during this scary and again (very painful) time for me. Today was our first visit with Dr. Peng. We were referred to him by a former employee of the office to diagnose and treat my daughter's knee injury. First of all, we have an amazing primary physician, but he is a naturopath/osteopath, and typically refers us elsewhere for situations such as these. Since we are uninsured, and I wasn't thrilled about paying for a referral, we asked around and found Dr. Peng. We mostly practice preventative medicine, but when an injury is present, we consult western medicine. Our visit with Dr. Peng was nothing short of extraordinary. He took the time to listen to my daughter, and was very thoughtful and thorough with his treatment recommendations and diagnosis. I have become accustomed to the "cattle" model of medical offices, in which each patient is just a number, and they are shuffled out of the office as quickly as they came. This was not our experience with Dr. Peng. He treated us like individuals, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Dr. Peng has restored my faith in the medical community.
