Maybe on a different day this would be better? Lots of pumpkins, Lots and lots, plenty of free parking, lots of places to get a photo (family with the kids etc.) & cool fall stuff (pies $20 es, corn stalks, cider, apples etc.). There is the Hay Ride (I call it the bumpy ride) and on weekends the Haunted Hay Ride. Some farm animals and some games a bit of food and drink too. That's all the good news. I went on a Sunday (about 2p). We went on Sunday last year too. The crowd was over the top. The pumpkins 85 cents a pound which means a nice medium pumpkin is on the order of $21 to $25 ($5 at Trader Joes). The Hay rides, haunted and regular are $15 and $5pp respectively. It seems the farm family has taken a page from the Disney playbook (and not a good one). As if all this was not enough, to use your Card (with these prices you'll need to) they soak you for ANOTHER 3%! If this is your thing, here it is, be ready to wait & pay!

What a great little gem in the heart of Montville, NJ. Literally 4 minutes from my house you can't go wrong (especially with kids and nap times - closer is better). This place has all the highlights of a typical Chester area farm - pumpkin picking, "How Tall This Fall" sign and photo op, apple cider and donut hut, corn maze. Just beware this place isn't too big and gets super crowded on the weekend afternoons so if you want to avoid that aim for a weekday or weekend morning! But definitely worth a visit.

Nice little farm. It was just perfect size to spend couple hours and enjoy the autumn atmosphere. They have pumpkins and sunflowers. Since it was Monday, there was not too many people there. I would go back again next year. I would recommend for anyone who want to go Pumpkin picking without. Crazy season crowds. I saw some nice things to take photos. There is hayride and store that sells food and drink there also.

Pre-picked pumpkins in a field. Nothing exciting.

I'm not sure why this particular farm has a 4 star average, I had very much expected a lot more out of a farm the bougie North Jersey Area. First off, their "pumpkin patch" is a bunch of pre-picked pumpkins that have been thrown into a weedy bushy area for you to "pick out" yourself. Not even attached to the vine. When I googled this farm, my specific key search was "pick your own," so I obviously was not impressed. They had a couple of goats that you weren't allowed to feed, crammed into a small, shallow cage (which is a shame because there was a lot of unused space that they could've been roaming around it) and a hayride to nowhere which circled the farm and came back. Their "corn maze" was for toddlers and parents only and looked pretty lack luster from the outside. Their small farmers market, if you could call it that, had small pumpkins and gourds and some apple butter. All things that you can get at Walmart. Overall I should just stayed in Pennsylvania and not even bothered to stop on my way home this weekend.

A farm with plenty of parking and an open field for pumpkin picking. They have also have various spots staged for taking pictures which is cute for families. We tried their cider donuts and they were very good.. although not the traditional size donuts. The apple cider drinks were good as well but the label reference another farm.. I wonder if they are affiliated but I will definitely be checking them out at another time. Anyways.. no complaints here

I came here during the beginning of Fall season and expected to just pick pumpkins. To my surprise, there was an amazing haunted hayride. Ended up leaving with Indian corn, and apple cider drink. I had my pictures taken on the sunflower field. I recommend coming if you want to have a great time with family and friends during the spooky season.

Be mindful. This Is a ways if you are from NYC. With traffic it was 1.5 hr commute. There are banks near by if u wanted to get cash maybe 5min drive. This place was a lot of fun! The kids loved the haunted hay ride I do feel it's a bit pricey at $10 per person but, it's all in fun. They had a corn maze, and a small train for the kids to ride, and a great pick up truck photo op. They had a great crop of pumpkins this year from jumbo to super tiny. 70cents a lb I find it to be reasonably priced. In the gift area. Inside there were plants, pies, and painted pumpkins to take home as well.

We wait each year for this place to open. There is no parking or entry fee so it's a great place to kill a couple of hours with your kids. They have a nice selection of pumpkins of all sizes and the prices are reasonable. You have to get them weighed before you get on the line which speeds things up. They also take credit cards in the middle of a field without a permanent store so that is also a plus. CIDER DONUTS!! Made while you watch. They have gotten a bit pricey this year at $6/dz for a bag of small donuts but are they ever worth it. Cider and baked goods are also available and are really good if pricey. They have a toddler corn maze as well as a regular one. They added a train ride for the kids this year. There are two Hay Rides. The regular one is expensive for its length I have not done the haunted one but the sign clearly states that it is not for kids below a certain age that looks like good advice based on some of the reviews. There are plenty of places for photos. Food is limited to basically hot dogs. There are goats and chickens but no petting zoo. The only problem this year was yellow jackets. They were out in force and made it tough on the kids. If I was in NYC, the drive is a little long to be worth it. You may be better off going up to Warwick. If you are at all local, It's a nice family oriented place as part of a days outing.

Lovely little farm. We go for the U pick pumpkins. They have a great selection & priced the same as most farms. Cute little rides for the younger kids & delish apple cider donut bites. Worth the trip for those alone.

If you're looking to go pumpkin picking then Conklin Farms is the place to go. I first visited 2 years ago with some girlfriends. It's rather intimate here as opposed to some of the bustling places I've been. And that's exactly why I like it. Fast forward 2 years. I'm now a mom of a lively 10 month old. My husband and I took our little boy here this past Friday afternoon. He had a blast. Conklin Farms is really geared toward children. On Friday afternoons between 4-6 pm they offer pony rides, face painting , balloons, and FREE hayrides. Hayrides will normally run you $3 (or $8 for Haunted) and kids under 2 are always free. Parking is free, which is nice. When we got here, we took our sleeping baby right to the hay ride. It was fun, but definitely short. I think the older kids enjoyed it more than our little one though. They have a growth chart that you or your children can stand next to with the year. That's cute for yearly visits to see how much you grew. We had fun with that. Then we played with the giant pumpkins. They have a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds. Lots of great photo ops here. They offer wheelbarrows to transport your pumpkins across the field to the parking area. We used it for some fun photos too. There are also some farm animals (goats, bunnies, and roosters). It was fun watching my son watch the animals. There is a Snack Shack and Donut Hut. Unfortunately the donuts are only available on Saturday and Sunday. So we were left disappointed. I was really craving a hot donut. They had a pizza truck the day we were there too. They also sell a variety of bagged apples, jams, etc. Pumpkins are 65 cents per pound. Overall, Conklin Farms is a fun, affordable, family friendly place. We can't wait to go back again next fall.

2 years in a row! Great experience both times? We love the Apple Cider Donuts! The staff was pleasant and professional so we plan to go every year especially during Halloween.

    Terrible overpriced Apple Crumb Pie
    Marisol L.

I have no problem overpaying for quality. But their Apple Crumb Pie was $14... with about 2" worth of crumbs and no apple. It has what looks more like applesauce barely covering the bottom (see pics). What a rip-off!

Reasonably priced: We bought apple cider donuts, which were really more like apple cider donut holes.

I hear it can…read moreget crowded on the weekends, but on Thursday when we arrived a little before noon, it wasn't bad. They had a steady stream of newcomers but not too crowded. It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. I would definitely have to say hand down to the cute little store - there was a bakery side and oh my gosh the donuts , the cookies and the Tik Tok famous drink was out of this world. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. They even had a pumpkin cider donut which I never had before. Don't forget to stop by and check them out.
