OMG!! I love this school so much. Great place to go to if you want your transition to college,…read moreacceptances to good colleges, great high school experience, or even your overall life to turn around. The counselors here are very friendly, the system here is so flexible, and the teachers here are very nice and lenient with grading. I transferred into this school 2nd week of junior year and graduated from here in 2025. Ron Polk, Mrs. Dutra, Ms. Gutierrez, and Mr. Quintana are the best staff here. There are great programs you can enroll in, like ICL, Forensics, ROP, Marketing & Management, and stuff. If you are chill, join clubs and extracurriculars, you can easily make lots of friends. I recommend you join Forensics. It's the speech and debate program here at Logan, and Mr.Kurup, the director of it, is the best! If you live in north Fremont, like near Ardenwood or Northgate, Logan isn't that far. NHUSD is very flexible about inter-district transfers. Just avoid hanging out with the gangsters, and even classes with certain teachers like Mrs. Sekar and Mr. Farzad. Last thing, before I forget, the Union City Library is right across the street. Moreover, there's also Bart and hella good food in the plaza across Meyers Dr. There's McD, Suju's, Taco Bell, Boba places, and even some Chinese food. I've never seen a true change in my life until I went to this school. I was able to get into SJSU for CS just because of this school.

Only few teachers are just right though yk? This school is kinda ghetto, suggesting that there WERE fights and vaping, but if you stay long enough or just observe you can find the wholesome parts in it. If your a parent reading this, just trust the school but not too much, but if your a student then yk how things go on in this bumhaz school lol.

Middle school can already be a challenging and stressful environment but attending a school like…read moreNewark Middle School (often referred to locally alongside its history as Newark Junior High) can sometimes amplify those frustrations for students trying to navigate their daily routines. Between strict administrative policies, heavily restricted campus rules, and a general lack of engaging student activities, many students often feel like the overall atmosphere is overly rigid rather than supportive. Instead of fostering an environment where young adolescents feel encouraged to grow, the everyday experience can frequently feel bogged down by disorganization and an inflexible system. Adding to student frustrations are specific leadership and athletic figures on campus, such as Coach Kelly, who often draw heavy criticism from participants and students alike. Athletic environments should ideally build confidence, teach teamwork, and serve as an outlet for positive development, but a poor coaching style can quickly turn sports into a source of anxiety. When leadership relies on poor communication, unfair treatment, or a lack of genuine support for the players, it alienates students who are just trying to enjoy their time and represent their school. Ultimately, when both the general school climate and specific authority figures fail to connect positively with students, the entire middle school experience suffers. Navigating classes, social pressures, and extracurriculars becomes much harder than it needs to be when students feel unsupported by the very people and systems meant to guide them through these formative years.

Their system has heavy restrictions on who can take what classes; the teachers there are incredibly tough, and some are to the core, rude. Horrible infrastructure there as well, and the school lunch is so trash. I went here for 9th and 10th grade, and I did not like a single bit of my time there. The assistant principal back then (Mrs. Pelayo and Mrs. Sharma are very tough and rude). Some of the students here are mean, and they clown you. If you are considering moving to Fremont, please avoid going to this high school. Please go to Washington, Irvington, or James Logan (Union City).

As alumni I have every right to do so. They also made my friend have a panic attack. This is unacceptable behaviour from high school staff who should be looking out for the children. For the sake of everyone's wellbeing they should be fired!

They…read moreblatantly make the children they're directing their attention to feel like a problem or issue. The office staff prominently make it very hard to understand instructions and expect you to know everything the first time you're directed to do something. Another thing is that teachers need to stop letting other students pass inappropriate jokes or offensive speech just because it entertains them. Also, experiences with the counselors would feel different than you'd typically imagine it, regarding the way they perceive your problem or feelings. Not sure on how the counselors helped other students but it probably varies, I did not receive any help at all myself. Lastly, this is difficult to improve, but the lunch line situation is always horrible, no matter what they integrate. Hearing things you don't want to hear is still verbal harassment if it makes you uncomfortable. Minor roughhousing is pretty odd but people would do it in private. Next year is my final year here and I'd hope for it to be more pleasant than the last two. I'm sure there's many other issues but I don't have any coming to mind at the moment. It feels empty in the morning and quite pathetic on special event days.

By how she looked at us, I see that we were being judged. A couple weeks goes by and our child is telling us that some of the staffs were talking to her as if she wasn't a human being. She'll come home, tell us about how they would say things that made me uncomfortable. Example: her presence was irritating them. I went up to the school one morning and told all the staffs and including the assistant principal that they better stop talking crazy to my child. Cause at home my children are disciplined. (Yes they get yelled at or talked to for their actions). There's so many times I've had to go up to the school to put these staffs in check. Wrong mama. My child doesn't like confrontations. If she feels like she's being disrespected, she's gonna let me know. There's a female (P.E) staff there that tried to twist my daughter's word when we had set a meeting up. I wanted to know what happened. There was an incident that took place with another student. This staff was a "mediator". As we were in the room, I let my daughter speak, the lady staff tried to interrupt my daughter. I told her to let my child speak. I didn't like the fact that she tried to justify what she told me and then tell my daughter different. What I won't allow is for an adult to interrupt my child when she is advocating for herself while l'm in her presence. There are a few staff that I've grown to like. If I had the chance to pull my child out and do homeschool, I would. We send our children to school to these staff(s) to teach and watch over them. Not for them to treat our children like sh!t. I don't have a problem going up to the school and give them my 2 cents. They need to work better on their attitudes... cause it stinks like sewage water.
