We had a leaking sprinkler head, which had caused water damage to an area of the garage. We shut off the water and had to work with a mitigation team to remove the wet dry wall and the ceiling around the sprinkler head to confirm the leak was coming from the sprinkler head itself. It was a stressful situation for someone encountering this type of a situation for the first time. Smart Fire Protection said they can come out to the house same day, which I really appreciated. The rate was higher than expected but I figured it is due to weekend pricing, and it was not unreasonable. We wanted to get the water turned back on sooner vs. waiting until Monday. Jose was professional and courteous and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I learned a lot about the sprinkler system. He replaced the sprinkler head, checked the pressure gauge, pointed out some calcifications in the pipes to keep an eye on. He flushed and recharged the system and recommended we check back in for an inspection of the overall sprinkler system throughout the house later in the year. After waiting a few weeks I called to inquire when the work would be done and they said that the parts had not yet arrived. When they finally did the work we ended up telling the tech. to just leave after he tried numerous times to get a valve to stop leaking with soldier while there was water still inside of it. We figured since we were being charged $75 per hour we would just fix it ourselves by draining the water out and then sweating the leak. Kazel Fire Protection cares more about money than their customers. Even after I told them that I thought $500 for 1.5 hours of work, and I mean work in the loosest term since all they did was look at our pipes and decide what they had to order,was excessive and that with 11 properties we would be good long term customers they still didn't care. Don't call Kazal. They don't care about customers and do lousy work.
