This review is long overdue. We found out about USAB from a friend, and selected them to install our home security system when we moved to Tucson five years ago. USAB provides exceptional customer service, something that is so rare these days. I was reminded of this today when I had a small problem with our control panel. I texted Brandon, and he replied almost immediately and was able to solve my issue remotely. Our system performs very well, but on the rare occasions when we have had minor issues or questions, Brandon has always responded very quickly to our texts or phone calls, even on weekends. We purchased a home that previously had a wired alarm system. Over the years we talked about having it updated and activated, but never did. We finally made the move and called a few places. There's been a rash of property crimes in our area. Camping equipment was stolen from our cars, several neighbors have reported storeroom break-ins, a neighbor's bicycle was taken, and more. After meeting with one tech from another security company, we were awaiting his estimate when Brandon from US Alarm Brokers checked out our situation to give us a second estimate. Brandon impressed us most favorably, was very thorough, answered our questions patiently, and gave answers we non-techies could understand. When I received the first tech's estimate, I was shocked at the high price. Brandon's detailed estimate included options for an Arlo system or a higher-quality LTS system - and the more expensive system was only 1/3 of the price quoted by the first tech! I emailed Brandon many questions about the 2 systems. He replied promptly and his answers were very helpful. Brandon did all the work in 1 day. It's no secret Tucson is a high-crime city, so I recently decided to invest in a security alarm system for my home. I read horror stories on big national companies (i.e. ADT) about their high prices and 3-year contract lock-ins, and I wasn't having that. I called up three local companies (U.S. Alarm Brokers, Central Alarm, and Young Alarm) to get quotes and recommendations. Brandon, who I believe to be the owner, showed up right on time and was very helpful with his recommendations and wasn't pushy at all. His company was flexible: you can pick a contract option with a higher monthly cost but no equipment charges, or a lower no-contract cost where you would have to buy the equipment. Having done previous research on security equipment, I really liked 2GIG - which just so happened to be U.S. Alarm Brokers' preferred vendor. Central Alarm's preferred vendor was some no-name brand (which might have worked fine), and Young Alarm's was Honeywell. I had been interested in Honeywell at first, but they seem to excel at hardwired systems, while their wireless systems seem to be an afterthought. I was really pleased with Brandon's installation. I didn't want a power transformer plugged in near the panel, so he found an outlet in the attic and wired it from there. He did a perfect job with it! Not an easy task with my house. The best part is U.S. Alarm Brokers uses Alarm.com to connect to the central station. This is a must for DIYers, tinkerers, and nerds like myself. I have to say this was the best decision we made. Brandon came out within several days of our call and met with us. My husband explained exactly what we wanted and Brandon listened and made suggestions. When I happened onto USAB via Google search, I was suspicious of all the 5 -star reviews the company received. How can any company be that outstanding? Well, the reviews were all true! The Regional Manager, Brandon Mayfield, answered my phone inquiry with a clear overview of the systems and services that he could offer, and came to our house to nail down the best options for us. From the start, Brandon was on-time to appointments, quick to return phone calls or respond to emails/texts, and very, very helpful. He replaced out former interior security system, which had become just too pricey, with a more accessible system at much lower monthly monitoring costs. When we mentioned that we would like some cameras and motion sensors on the outside of the house, Brandon recommended some Ring products as a less-expensive option to the more commercial products that USAB carries. Although he does not usually install Ring products, he offered to install Ring products that we would buy ourselves, and recommended specific products. As soon as the products arrived, he installed them for a nominal charge and taught us how to use them. When I called our old monitoring company and requested help from a technician, they never responded. Finally Saturday morning they quoted us $300 an hour to take a look, because it was the weekend. Needless to say we were not going to pay that crazy cost and we could not leave everything unprotected. When I called Brandon Saturday morning I was beyond grateful when he responded right back.
