London fog (16oz). Note... I licked the spoon, not the person who made it... Don't worry...

TL;DR: small cafe, good coffee, friendly barista, not the best wifi. Seating: Since this isn't that busy of an area (yet; I expect it to be much busier once the Burquitlam station opens), they don't have too many seats, but currently it's plenty for the number of customers that visit. Coffee: I believe the barista roasts the beans and prepares the tea leaves herself. They have huge burlap bags you can see, and I've heard her mention to a customer that inquired about spicier chai teas that she currently is preparing some and they're stored in the freezer at the moment. They sell whole coffee beans, which you can see on display on a shelf to the left when you enter, and they also sell French presses and some other products. This is also probably the only cafe nearby that has flat whites on their menu (yum)! Pretty unique fall specials too: maple almond latte, gingerbread latte, caramel ginger spice latte. Service: Always friendly. Not overly friendly, but I think she warms up to you the more often she's seen you. Also be sure to grab their loyalty cards to get stamps! I believe buy 10 drinks, get the 11th free? Other: Their wifi network name and password are written on the chalkboard in front of the counter, and even though I've been here as the only customer before, the wifi is never too fast. It's not the worst I've experienced, but if you're here to do work, I'd suggest mainly doing work that's not dependent on the Internet or only occasionally needs it. Big bonus: They have really clean restrooms. Always a plus in a coffee shop ;)

Super friendly, lots of coffee options and very helpful. It's great to have a local roaster that brings in great beans!

The atmosphere is artsy and nice, however I got intense food poisoning after having breakfast at this cafe.

Really tasty coffee and snacks. Only wish they had more seating but I suspect they wish they had more seating too!

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). I personally enjoy my matcha unsweetened so I loved that this one was served without sweeteners, and the matcha is lighter bodied with earthy flavours. The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth. The mochi muffins were not too sweet and deliciously chewy! I'd love to come back to try their hojicha latte!

I guess barista did not add too much sugar, however, I did not need it. Houjicha flavor was was very bold and strong, and paired with milk so well. I really enjoyed houjicha itself, no sugar necessary. It really reminds me of houjicha latte in Japan. Barista was Japanese lady. very friendly and nice. I was very impressed and definitely want to go back the shop as soon as I can. I want to try their baking goods next time.

Starbuck's was Mr. B's favorite for coffee and we prefer the smaller independently owned coffee shops and Fox and Oak is a gem. Located in downtown Squamish, really on the outskirts of downtown. This tiny little spot has a long bar with seating and then a lovely patio. The staff at the register taking orders both times was so friendly, helpful and offered great recommendations. On our first visit it was a latte for Mr. B and a Chai Latte for me, both were creamy, filled with rich flavor without being bitter. We also shared a maple walnut donut. Oh it was so good. I can't say the last time I had a donut, but when in Canada, maple anything is always so good. The donut was light and had a lovely maple glaze on the top and then toasted walnuts. So good! On our second visit, we had the same drinks, the same Maple Walnut Donut and added a blueberry fritter. The fritter was crunchy on the outside, after the first bite we could see the layers of dough much like a croissant and in the middle were loads of fresh blueberries. Wow, fresh berries and not a sweet fake blueberry gel. It truly was scrumptious. Parking is on the street and can be tight, but both times we found parking even with a short walk. Which was good to walk off our donuts and pastries.
