It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). I personally enjoy my matcha unsweetened so I loved that this one was served without sweeteners, and the matcha is lighter bodied with earthy flavours. The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth. The mochi muffins were not too sweet and deliciously chewy! I'd love to come back to try their hojicha latte!

This time, I ordered Matcha strawberry latte. Their Matcha flavor was very strong, texture was creamy and strawberry puree was just perfect level of sweetness. Service was very friendly and excellent even though their vendor was very busy at festival. I will visit their cafe again and will try their cakes and drink.

I did notice that they serve Doe Coffee and the coffee cups had the Doe Coffee on it so I do think they have a connection to the East Vancouver cafe but did not inquire further with regards to details. The coffee had good tasting notes - would recommend if you are ever in the area, and in particular if you work around there for a weekday pick me up.

For a sweet accompaniment, I like the salted caramel crackle. It is a bit hard/crunchy but it goes perfectly with the coffee. This place has an upper level, so do check it out if the ground floor is full. A nice neighborhood place for coffee besides Starbucks across it.
