As for my reservations about the e-collar - Nikki had me hold it in my hand, and she zapped me on "HI".

Truly a life-changing experience. Our dog, Helo, a 1.5 year mini Aussie, has had symptoms of…read moreaggression since he was a puppy. We've been through multiple trainers, including a 1 month boarding program, and all of his aggression problems have only gotten worse. Barking out of control, snapping at people and other dogs, and refusing to come when called anytime he got out of the house. Most recently, he bit a neighbor who helped catch him when he got out. We were worried we might be out of options, and were stressing daily about every interaction Helo had with other people. Marc and the team at 203k9 rebuilt our dog from the ground up. We went with the full month program, which was definitely the right call, because now we know that whether he's got a leash on or not, we're still in control. We visited Marc 3 times while he was in training, which allowed us to see the progress and learn as Helo was learning. Helo came home with the same spunky personality as before, but now we are able to quickly correct him when he starts showing any signs of losing his cool. He responds to all of our commands, even when outside without a leash on, which makes our lives way less stressful. One other great thing is that we have more 1-on-1 and group sessions coming up, both to refresh Helo's training and to give us the opportunity to ask more questions and learn new skills ourselves. Really couldn't be happier with our experience. Money very well spent, and knowing the results of "cheaper" programs, this is by far the best bang for the buck. Would have saved a lot of money by making this decision sooner. Thanks to Marc and everyone at 203k9!

My review is just for the retail store itself, I haven't used any of their training, grooming, or…read moreboarding services. This is kind of a smallish Petsmart, but it's only a few minutes away from where I live, so it's convenient to go to pick up a few items. Overall the selection is pretty decent, although the clothing section really could use more warm weather clothing in winter. I was able to find maybe one sweater for my dog, which really didn't fit anyway. Other than that, they are pretty ok, toy and food wise. Like I said, I come here because it's close by.

He said, "no, we don't, he's not our insane son." We were heading home from somewhere and stopped at the one in Stamford on West Avenue and bought a frog -- and the cashier double-charged us. My husband pointed this out and the cashier immediately got angry and told him not to tell him how to tell him to do his job. All we wanted was a refund for the extra charge, as we purchased one frog. He forced my husband to sign up for their 7,000 emails, which are endless spam, and kept insisting it was two frogs. When my husband said, "use your eyes" - he said, "I KNOW YOU, YOU CAUSED A RUCKUS IN HERE" -- which was interesting, as we'd never BEEN in that store before -- and it was just a nightmare. It seems all PetSmarts are busy employing some of the dumbest, meanest, and strangest people on earth -- who do not know how to treat customers properly, but also, always seem to be hiring (no shock there) but do not seem willing to hire competent people. No more PetSmart.

We brought our dog to Rippowam Animal Hospital for about nine years, and for a long time, we truly…read morebelieved we were receiving the best care for him. As our dog got older, he began having issues with his hind leg and arthritis. We tried different medications, but many of them only seemed to make him tired or drugged rather than truly helping him feel better. That alone is not the reason I am writing this review. Over time, I felt the care became less personal. More and more communication seemed to happen through websites, portals, and online systems, with less direct communication from the doctors. I understand that technology is part of the world now, but when it comes to a beloved pet, especially an older dog, personal communication matters. When I became dissatisfied and felt my dog needed more comfort and attention, I went to another veterinary group. The difference was immediate. The doctor personally called me, helped find a better medication plan, and made sure we received what our dog needed. The biggest reason I am writing this review is because after seeing multiple doctors at Rippowam over nine years, no one ever noticed that my dog was blind in one eye. The new veterinarian noticed it right away and immediately referred us to an ophthalmology specialist in Wilton. I was shocked and heartbroken. How could several doctors over nine years not recognize something so important? I trusted this practice with my dog's care, and finding this out after all these years was extremely upsetting. The staff may be nice, but in my experience, the service became less personal, the communication was not what I needed, and the parking was difficult. Most importantly, I felt they missed the heart of what pet owners need, which is careful attention, compassion, and real communication about our fur babies. In a world full of websites, Wi-Fi, and online portals, I still believe people want personal service, especially when it comes to their pets. After nine years, learning that my dog's blindness was missed left me very disappointed. For that reason, I can no longer say I was satisfied with the level of care we received.

When she relocated to Stamford she took Wally and when she shopped for a new vet she chose Rippomam. Wally aged and showed signs of decline. The doctors and staff showed such care and with their expertise Wally continued on in a very comfortable and active life. At one time I was in Stamford while my daughter was traveling and I needed to pick up more meds for Wally. The staff immediately acted like I was family and they made sure I knew what I was picking up. While we eventually lost Wally, we know that he had the best care available. What a great team. My daughter and family thank you.
