The first time I used Connelly Plumbing, their poor workmanship flooded my basement, and then they tried to charge me for having to send someone to fix their mess. The second time I used them, they sent an inexperienced plumber who told me he had to remove my toilet to clean out a clogged drain pipe. He got his snake stuck and had to call for backup. The more experience plumber immediately found the cleanout, which made the removal of my toilet completely unnecessary, and within minutes, got the snake unstuck. I can safely and officially recommend reaching out to Connelly. After using them a few times now, they're my go-to. We had a bid from another well-known area plumbing company and everything about it was off; the plumber himself, the price, the pressurized sales pitch. I bailed on that one and did a Request a Quote on Connelly's page and it was worlds better. It was also much, much more fairly and accurately priced than the first company I had out. For starters, they have two hour windows for appointments vs four or even eight hours, so you can plan your visit much more easily. The two plumbers (named Adam and can't remember the other) who came out were friendly and helpful (and masked which I appreciated as we're still in this Covid ordeal) and really couldn't have been better. They answered stray questions I had about some other issues, and installed both a new water pressure regulator and valve that had corroded/clogged up. Definitely one of those blah "joys of home ownership" moments, and not the funnest thing to spend money on, but worth it to keep things humming along. They gave me a 5% discount for being a repeat customer, took credit card easily, and emailed a detailed receipt before even leaving the house. They also offer a 1 year warranty, which was 11 months longer than the other company I'd initially reached out to. We contacted this company for repair of a bathroom faucet. Upon arrival, the technician advised me that it may or may not be repairable. I asked how much it would be diagnose the problem and he stated $300. I then asked how much it would be to put in a new faucet. He stated around $1000 not including the cost of the new faucet. He then stated that I would owe the diagnosis fee of $300 on top of the $1000. I asked how long this type of job usually takes and he stated a few hours. So to replace a bathroom faucet it was going to cost approximately $1500. I told him I would hold off on repairs. I went to Lowes and purchased a new faucet and put it in myself in under an hour. I have no plumbing experience. This was a simple job. Don't waste your time with this company. They are looking to take advantage of people in a difficult situation. read more

DO NOT USE THEM! I sought a quote for a tub faucet replacement. The plumber arrived spent less than 10 minutes assessing the job and quoted $1192. I asked for a breakdown of the estimate including labor, material, etc. He advised it was a "flat rate" and charged me $89 for the service call during which he did nothing other than look at the area. We obtained 2 other quotes for under $450 and had the job done for $387 in under 2 hours by a master plumbe. This company is gauging people and should NOT be used. read more

I called Connelly first thing Friday morning. to my suprise they had a guy out there within the hour. guessing this is not always the case. he pulled about 5-10lbs of roots out of the line and cleared it up. I read the reviews of this highly rated company. It appeared they were fair and friendly. The latter was true but their price was ridiculous. The cost to install a purchased garbage disposal is $235! After several phone calls, it was determined that an honest plumber should charge around $100 if there aren't any complications. However, 3 of 10 in the area charge $150, 2 charge $100 or less and the rest charge $200-$350. An install replacement with like brand and type shouldn't cost twice the cost of a new unit. After all, if they are expert plumbers and they are simply taking out the old product and replacing it with an identical one it shouldn't take any longer than 30 minutes. The owner said there are "cheap" plumbers out there who could do the job. There are also honest and reputable plumbers out there who won't take advantage of a situation. read more

Steve came out and installed a tub on concrete slab which seems harder than calculating the trajectory of spacecraft landing on the moon! Lining up the 2 pvc pipes to fit exactly when you can't even see them is impossible. He said it would take approximately 4 hours to do. He had it done in under an hour. Then I ran into a problem with the existing plumbing in the walls that would not allow the new surround walls to go in. Steve came back that same day and knocked it out quickly too. Do you know the feeling when you *KNOW* you finally found your "Go to" mechanic, handy man, HVAC tech, etc? Well, this is how I felt as it relates to my plumbing needs going forward with CPS. A personal rule that I have, has to do with initial contact. If I call a business, any business, and the person who answers the phone lacks professionalism and courtesy, at *that* very moment, I ended my business with that business. You may say, "What if he/she was having a bad day?" True. We all have them. But that is where self-control comes into play especially when running a business. Jenny, the Office Manager, was both professional and courteous when I called; very much appreciated it. I digressed. So, I called CPS because I needed a snake job done, and they actually came in more affordable than other pro outfits. Brian, one of their plumbers was sent to my house - same day. Jenny was upfront and told me plainly what all charges would be to include the service call fee which I thought they were all reasonable. Brian showed up on time and here's where I was impressed: 1) He took the time to listen to my wife; and, 2) He INVESTIGATED what I *truly* needed *without* pressure. CPS: Please keep up this practice. Yes, there are difficult people a business must deal with but, having your plumbers take time to listen to customers, and, investigate the root cause is truly, truly priceless AND lacking nowadays. In the end, Brian advised us that in order to make the clog (persistent for some time now) go away, I really needed to address how some of the piping had been installed by the previous owner which was incorrect. There again, he explained to us what the issues were, and, took time to explain it. Brian: Thank you! It didn't work so we called back. We got an appointment for a few days later, not an emergency. They showed up 5 minutes early and thoroughly investigated our problem. I found CPS on Yelp. Steve came out gave me an free estimate gave me an estimated time of 4 hours. I thought it was impossible to do in 4 hours. He was going to have to pull up the toilet repair two main lines and repair the line from the toilet to the main line. It took him three and a half hours to complete this.
