Probably the coolest little super market ive ever been too. We are locals, and truth be told, we choose shopping here over food lion. They have everything you could imagine or need, which is wild considering how small town they are. Every single employee is as nice as could be, and i just love comming in here. Decent selection of basic foods that you need. The premade sandwiches were decent and superior to what you get at a typical supermarket. On a related/unrelated note, I've noticed that many beach towns have people who are working on seasonal visas. Nothing bad or good but I overheard a manager of some type teaching two girls of possibly Eastern European origin the finer points of the southern accent. Kinda an interesting moment. Surprised by how many fresh produce and grocery choices they had. Also had non-grocery options like shampoo and paper/plastic products.

I have passed this grocery store many times in a rush to catch the next ferry. One day I had some extra time and went inside. What a great store! The selection was great and the prices were not over the top like some other stores on the Outer Banks. I had their Thai Chicken wrap today and it was amazing!!! read more

We have been going to Buxton and Conners for 50 years and have always gotten great service and fresh food there. Excellent service from the butcher, deli, and check out folks. It's amazing how fresh everything is and the amount of items they now carry. We believe in shopping local and with the addition of Angela and Becky and their husbands, the Conner legacy will continue. It warms my heart to see the old guy (John) and his bride of 47 years just enjoying life and family. By the way, you have to have a T bone or one their strip steaks next time you are there. Nice store friendly staff. Almost everything you need for your island stay (a few items missing that I was looking for - spices & fruit). The prices are a bit higher than the mainland but not to bad. Very clean and the items they did have are name brand and often organic. The fruit & veggies were ok not the freshest. read more

I first stopped in here over 20 years ago when camping out at the NPS campground out at the Point. It has literally doubled in size in size since then and went from basics to a nice selection of most everything - wine, craft beer, organic veggies, natural meats, as well as the basics. It won't have everything the chain store in Avon has but the local staff is far friendlier. read more

It's not a Wegmans, Publix, or Harris Teeter but this is Hatteras Island. I'm amazed at the great selection packed into a small store. The deli is full of Boars Head meats and lots of homemade salads that are yummy. They also have a small selection of premade sandwiches to grab and go. Great selection of beer and wine packed in there too. We never stop at food lion after discovering Conner's. read more

Excellent locally owned grocery store on Hatteras island. They carry kombucha teas and other organic and healthy options like Ezekiel & Udis breads, noosa yogurts ect. They have a tasty deli as well! Don't go to food lion if your here, shop local and go to Connor's! read more

This is our 6th year vacationing in OBX in October. We always stay in the Avon, Buxton, Frisco area. We tried Conner's Supermarket once the first year down and found it wanting in selection and very high priced. You would be better off going to the Food Lion or Village Grocery in Avon, It is worth the drive. read more

Consistently one of he best merchandized markets around and by far the best on Hatteras. The manager Travis is a friendly ambassador who coined the motto "From PBR to caviare" . The store is always well stocked with fresh produce, meats and Togo food. Nothing seems over priced and the selection goes from basic stable brands to gourmet organic. It seems to be the only place on Hatteras where you can buy Copper-tone products too. read more

This store is a great place to stock up in Buxton. A busy Saturday night with the influx of new visitors the staff were friendly. The shelves were stocked. The beer and wine selection is good. A fine start to vacation. read more

Helpful staff have everything including fire wood. Prices are a little bit high but it's expected here.

We arrived late to our motel in buxton and needed groceries for our week vacation. We found Connor's market and noticed when entering that they were closing in 15 minutes. We were greeted with smiles and a ' come on in' !! The store reminds me of what grocery stores use to be. It was very clean with plenty of selection ,without being super sized and hard to get from one end to the other!! We checked out five minutes after closing and the cashier was very friendly! These are wonderful people and they have a very nice market!! Highly Recommend!! read more

We were on vacation in the outer banks last May. We stopped in to Conners market on our way to Ocracoke Island. The good-- Nice selection of food, good prices, and some neat nic-nacs, The Bad-- I personally will not be going back due to the rudeness of the check out girls. Great supermarket in Cape Hatteras - we went in to pick up a few grocery items for our OBX stay and were surprised to find MUCH more than just the basics here! They had everything that a chain grocery store offers - fresh meat, produce, dairy, etc - plus a wide variety of organic and specialty foods. Plenty of beach gear here too. Prices are higher than a chain store, which is to be expected both from an independent store and from a beach establishment. Happy to pay a little more to support a local business! read more

I love Connor's ! We've been coming to the Buxton area for the last 10 years and we love stopping at Connor's. We do the basic bulk shopping for two weeks at Food Lion (paper towels, dog food, soda, etc.), but for meat, deli, pre-made items, dairy, beer and snacks, we hit Connor's every day after the beach. It is one of those magical little stores that seem to have whatever you need ever though it isn't very big. Yay for their pre-made banana pudding, pre-made pimiento cheese, really good steaks, and Coke in bottles! read more
