Dr Curti is the best…read more I recently had a bad experience with his office and wrote a really nasty review. I had decided to leave the office and search for anew hematologist. I found one in Long Beach and that Dr told me that Dr Curti was the best. During this time, Dr. Curti was calling me to help me and let me know what steps he had taken to fix the problem. When you're sick, you don't always think clearly or rationally. Anemia can make you crazy. My cognition was off and I was very depressed. But Dr Curti saw right through that. He helped me. I'm still dealing with my anemia 14 months later but he's helping me and he's not giving up. His staff is wonderful and after our little bout, I few like they are part of my health team. I had written a terrible review before, but after all they have done, they don't deserve it. Dr Curti WILL help you. And along the way if things get bumpy, tell him. He will help you. I have low bone density and am prescribed an Evenity injection once per month. At my appointment, I was given a warning document for a completely different medication. This level of miscommunication between the doctor and nursing staff is unacceptable. Had I not questioned it, I could have received the wrong injection -- which is very concerning. Although I tried to move past that incident, I later received a prerecorded call cancelling my second dose (scheduled one month later) because I had "missed required lab work." I was never instructed to complete any lab tests prior to my second injection. This lack of communication directly impacted my treatment. Overall, this has been a very troubling experience. Patients should not have to double-check basic medical instructions to ensure their safety. Please be cautious, ask questions, and advocate for yourself or your loved ones -- especially if they cannot do so on their own.

This has been the most incredibly frustrating experience ever. I am an RN so I understand that…read moreworking in healthcare is demanding and difficult, however, what I've experienced is unacceptable. I made an appointment with dr. Chan 3 weeks ago to follow up about my thyroid (and an unrelated swollen lymph node). He ordered labs and two ultrasounds (one for my thyroid and one for the lymph node). I got the ultrasounds done the following week. The ultrasound of the neck/lymph node was uploaded into my chart as well as my labs. The thyroid ultrasound, however, was missing. Although I believe it is their job to follow up with the imaging center to get those missing ultrasounds, I took it upon myself to be proactive and get those images sent over to Optum. Finally both ultrasounds were uploaded into my chart. Still no call or anything from Dr. Chan or his assistant. I've sent messages in my chart asking if I can get a call regarding my results. No call, nothing . Only a message from Dr. Chan in the my chart app saying he is going to refer me to endocrinology and that his MA would contact me asap with that referral (still no peace of mind on my end...are my results concerning to him? No call, nothing clarity). Days go by and still no referral or call from either of them. I call Optum again and the call center lady said they would send a message over to them telling them to call me asap. Two more days go by still no call. I message again on the my chart app asking for that referral. All I get back is a screen shot from his MA of the different names and numbers for Optum's endocrinologist. No message. No context. Just a screen shot. I took that as "we referred you to these Optum endocrinologists" I call the seal beach office where the endocrinologist is located from her screen shot, and what do you know...they told me that dr. Chan didn't actually refer me to the endo.... I return to the my chart app messaging to let her know she didn't actually refer me to anyone. I call Optum again and get the same call center personal...the lady on the phone explains how it is unacceptable that no one could pick up the phone and just give me a call with my results and with referral information. She put me on hold said that she just talked to the office manager for Los Al and that the office manager would be calling me within the next 5 mins because what I've been through has been unacceptable.... Well, it's been 2 hours since that "5 mins" and still no call and their office is closed now. Absolutely ridiculous. I just need a referral to what seems like an "urgent" matter regarding my thyroid and I can't even get a 5 min phone call or response from my provider or his assistant...

Even this week, I had a sudden flare and he brought me back up from barely able to get dressed to a couple days later being on a ladder arranging things in my house. I went to his website and filled out the Health Test to get a phone call consultation. He called me and we talked about my health issues and he gave me some advice. He was really nice and attentive. I made an appointment to come in to the office in 2 days! I am so grateful I got an appointment so quickly. When I came in for my appointment I really liked the chill vibes in the office and also the chill music. It made me feel more relaxed. The staff are super friendly and have a great sense of humor. Thank you for that! Dr. Stewart called me in and did his assessments. He did this muscle test and it was pretty cool!! I was already feeling better from my body aches!! At the end of the consultation he brought in the supplements and patches that I will need to heal my body. He also suggested other products that will help me, however he did not push for me to buy them. I will buy them next time though, since your girl was running a bit low on cash at the time. They understand your budget situation and will work with your budget, which is very awesome! He also gave me a list of what to eat and what not to eat. He is very thorough with his instructions. He makes sure you understand how the healthy diet plan works and if you have any questions he will answer/explain them. I later on found out she lost privileges from hospitals. I don't think it's ok what they did. Nelli was suppose to reach out to us for a refund and so far I haven't hear back. Make sure to ask surgeons if they will be able to perform surgery before they charge you. Be careful out there.
