Wonderful surgeon! Needed no pain medication after my breast surgery and just two tiny dots of red where incisions were, which will turn white and disappear. I was back to regular activities in a few days. She went to special lengths to schedule surgery while our daughter, who lives in New Zealand, was here visiting, so she could be with me. This was my first appointment with Dr. Rayhanabad. She was very focused, positive and caring. Her reputation is high in the community because she is so good at what she does. I know several, yes, several women who see her and every lady has given me positive feedback on the care they receive from her. Dr. Jessica Rayhanabad is without a doubt the best Doctor I have ever seen. Not only is she an extremely skillful surgeon with an impressive knowledge in breast surgery, she is so warm and caring to her patients. When I was referred to Dr. Rayhanabad, I had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and seen a general surgeon to plan for my breast surgery. After 2 months of visits and planning, my surgeon suddenly left the country without any warning or notice and her office stopped returning my calls. As my oncologist pressed me to "have surgery quickly, this is cancer you cannot wait any longer" I struggled to find care. At my first visit with Dr. Rayhanabad, she spent 30 minutes explaining my diagnosis and treatment options. She drew pictures to illustrate my cancer and different surgical options; and she answered all my questions. At the end of the visit, I had a completely different surgical plan and multiple sources of evidence to support that this plan would provide my best chance of survival. Instead of removing both breasts completely and waiting almost a year for breast implant surgery, I would have the cancer removed and reconstruction at the same time. This allowed me to retain sensation in my breasts and keep my nipples instead of having tattoos. Dr. Rayhanabad helped me find a plastic surgeon that could work with her to complete this surgical plan. Most importantly, she reassured me that my cancer was treatable and that she would take very good care of me. My surgery went very well and follow up care was outstanding. I was going to give the whole troubled history of how I came to be Dr. Rayhanabad's patient, but it's a long story, so instead I'll just relay the recent, happy part of my story. I want to start off by saying that finding Dr. Rayhanabad (here on Yelp) was the BEST FIND I've ever had! Well, actually, I believe I was being Divinely *led* here (to this Yelp review); in fact, Divinity has stayed with me, and Dr. Rayhanabad, during this whole trial! Thankfully, my breast cancer was discovered early, and Dr. Ray..., unbeknownst to her at the time, scooped it all out! "Unbeknownst to her at the time..." because all the tests showed that my cancer was only 3cm and so that is the number that Dr. Ray... was working with during my surgery. But, because it's her practice to scoop out more tissue (more than many, if not most, of her peers), she ended up getting out all 4cm of the cancer with 1cm of clear margins! When I saw her at my post-op follow-up appt., she said she was very surprised at the actual size of my cancer, which, she said, made her even happier when she saw that the tissue had clear margins. She said she did the Dance of Joy! She also said that I was very lucky, because if she had known it was actually 4cm in size, she would've had to do a mastectomy. (I have since told her that maybe I should be a case study to show that you don't necessarily have to do a mastectomy based solely on the size of the cancer.) Anyway, due to the fact that Dr. Rayhanabad is a superbly skilled surgeon who has a high success rate in following the "One and Done" motto, all the (known) cancer is out of me! ("One and Done" meaning, only going into surgery once, get out all the cancer, and be done with it.) I am so happy that Dr. Rayhanabad will be with me on this journey for the foreseeable future; and now, when I see her walk into the room, I get such a sense of joy & comfort. I was referred to Dr. Rayhanabad by my fantastic Gyno, Dr. Hetzler, when my routine mammogram ended up with me having a biopsy that showed cancer. It was the best thing to happen during the entire cancer journey. I was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and had to do chemo first, but she kept tabs on me throughout chemo via my great oncologist, Dr. Farjami, who she referred me to, so that she was ready for me when the time came for me to have surgery. She even encouraged me to get a second opinion for surgery so that I was sure that the options she was recommending were what I wanted (sometimes there are options with reconstructions after mastectomy - who knew!). There were a few bumps along the way, but she and her staff were very supportive and helpful. Insurance caused a few bumps in the road because they were giving her staff a hard time authorizing imaging she needed prior to surgery and it almost caused delays. Usually, any of the problems I had in her office were related to insurance. Yes, sometimes there were long waits in the office, but that's because she takes her time and answers all the questions you might have and more. This is cancer, it's not something routine, it's a battle for your life. She's very reassuring and has a wonderful bedside manner. She and Dr. Farbod Esmailian (the plastic surgeon she referred me to for reconstruction) did a fantastic job. She's very skilled and meticulous. My pain was well controlled following surgery and I can happily say that she got it all out. That and I ended up with a really nice upgrade, if I had to have a mastectomy done. I'm in the follow-up stages of my recovery and I recently saw her during the Covid-19 quarantine. Don't be surprised if they make you wear a mask, or if they ask you to wait in your car until it's your turn - it's all for our safety. She's VERY, VERY careful with all her patients. Receiving the call about having breast cancer is something I'll never forget. Figuring out each next step after the call is daunting. Thankfully my primary care physician referred me to Dr. Rayhanabad because they said she's one of the best. Honestly, I didn't know what to look for in a surgeon at that time. My thought was get healthy. Dr. Rayhanabad is what you hope for in a doctor during a difficult time. She's caring, thoughtful, will answer ALL your questions and knows what she is doing, which is very important. I never felt rushed with her. She took her time with me and my family. I'm thankful she is on my team of doctors. I am not too fond of the receptionist, but I'm not sure if she's there anymore. A few days before my mastectomy I needed to get pre op work done. Just my luck my primary care physician (pcp) was on vacation. The nurse at Dr. Rayhanabad's office was out and she knows what needs to get done. I was having issues between the two offices trying to find a solution on how I could get my testing completed. In an already stressful situation this just added to it. As a patient I didn't feel my role was to call to the offices to figure this out, I'm not the expert, but I was calling between both offices. At around 6pm I received a call from Dr. Rayhanabad, she had referrals ready for me to pick up the next morning so I could get everything completed. Its not her responsibility to call me on these matters, but she found a solution. That impressed me and I will always be grateful for that. In a self exam, I felt a mass in my breast. Got a referral for a mammo and ultrasound. As it turned out, I had to do a biopsy.....a week later, I got that call. I had breast cancer. My doctor referred me to Dr Rayhanabad. Made an appt with her and couldn't have made a better decision. Dr Rayhanabad is caring, thoughtful, and truly wants what is best for the patient. She listens to your concerns and puts you at ease about your specific case by answering ALL your questions. She's never in a rush to get through her patients. She takes the time needed for each of them. For me, my diagnosis came 2 months after the passing of my mother from metastatic breast cancer, so you can imagine how much my diagnosis stung. Thankfully, my cancer was caught early. Given that, it was only 5 weeks from the day I had my mammo to the day of my mastectomy surgery. Dr Rayhanabad cleared her schedule, coordinated a surgery date with my plastic surgeon (for reconstruction), and found a physician to do my pre-op testing on short notice. And because of her proactivity in my case, my cancer had no chance to spread to my lymph nodes, making my following treatment much more simple which is much easier on me. She worked tandemly with my plastic surgeon to achieve the best possible results for me. On another occasion, I had trouble finding a prescription in stock at any pharmacy. Dr Rayhanabad worked with my pharmacy, after her office hours on a Friday night, to find a temporary fix until I could get the prescription in hand. I don't know many doctors that would go to those lengths for you. I can't say enough about this amazing woman. She is the best! She is reliable and is always available for her patients, any time and any day. She truly cares, and treats her patients as if you were her own family. Dr. Rayhanabad saved my life! My left breast tried to off me with a fast growing tumor. NOT ON HER watch!!!...She scooped it out.. all 10cm of it...nipple had to go too. She left me with a beautiful scar! Straight and tightly put back together. Dr. Rayhananad is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She truly cares about her patients, listens and takes time explain everything and answer any questions. She is proactive, leaves no stone unturned and is an advocate for her patients. I had surgery done with her and not only was the process very easy, she did an amazing job - sometimes it's difficult to even see where she performed the surgery because the scar is nearly invisible. Fear, that's what cancer meant to me. I needed a surgeon, a plastic surgeon and an OBGYN team who could take care of me like I would take care of my family. Dr Rayhanabad, Dr Esmailian and Dr Hetzler were my dream team. They prioritized my appointments, coordinated treatment and went above and beyond with personal attention and specialized advanced care in the office and at the hospital. They also took time with my family who feared the worst like me. I had a partial mastectomy and breast reduction. I am 2 1/2 weeks post surgery and feel 100%. My surgery results were amazing - I am now cancer free in my left breast and looking better than before. Now it's on to oncology. Dr Rayhanabad had another referral to add to the dream team. No doubt the next step will be as great as this last month. I am now far more optimistic that I will beat cancer 100%. I am so thankful for these wonderful doctors. read more

Not happy with the services. Overbooking makes for long wait times after arrival in the office. Also, I've been waiting two weeks for her office to get back to me about orders for an MRI and it scan. I've called four times in two weeks just to hear that the nurses/receptionists keep forgetting, or have failed, to ask the doctor about my orders. read more

Horrible service. I was in er this weekend and was referred to see a specialist Monday morning. First I called like they told me to first thing Monday morning, the lady was rude when even asking to make an appointment, next I arrive at 9:30 after not going to work and dropping my son off at a sitter. Then I wait for two hours with every seat full in the office. So no 6 feet or sanitize or anything in this office and the receptionist Cals me up and says the doctor just said keep taking your antibiotics and come back in a few days. Just could not believe the service here. Then everyone in waiting room starts talking about there service and can't wait to be discharged. Just absolutely inconsiderate of anyone's time and I highly recommend you don't waste your time at all going here. We have great doctors all around us so you have options so look around and you will find someone that is not like this office. Just horrible!!! read more

My first surgeon for breast cancer had to bow out. After speaking with my oncologist he highly recommended Dr Rayhanabad. He put the referral in for me and it was approved. I'm glad things worked out that she became my surgeon. I had a difficult decision to make after it was determined I needed a mastectomy to have reconstruction of one breast and a reduction on the second. After consulting a plastic surgeon I was told in my case the whole process was going to take a year and a half to complete. After being war weary from chemo therapy then having to have all that reconstructive work done on top of breast surgery, I didn't want to go through all that. I didn't want to define my 60s as the decade of surgeries. I presented Dr Rayhanabad with all my concerns about having reconstruction done, preferring to go the route of having a double mastectomy, recovering, then wearing prosthesis. She listened intently, offered me a reason why removing a healthy breast is counterintuitive to her being a surgeon. You remove bad, not good. She didn't try to impose her will on me. She understood all that I had gone through plus all the various surgeries that would have been required to make me whole, she graciously honored my request. Working in the medical field I have come across all types of Drs and I must say Dr Rayhanabad is truly in the field for her patients. I was diagnosed with papilloma's in both of my breasts last year and was referred to her for surgery to remove them. From the beginning of treatment she has always been on top of things, recommending the best options for me, as well as great with follow ups. Upon receiving news that my biopsy revealed breast cancer, I researched top breast surgeons in the field and came across Dr. Jessica Rayhanabad. I made an appointment to meet with her to discuss my results and options. Her staff was very accommodating and worked with my schedule to fit me in as soon as possible. I found Dr. Rayhanabad to be intelligent and well-versed in her field. She has an amazing bedside manner and is honest, compassionate and well respected among her peers. She explained my diagnosis thoroughly and answered any questions at length. Although this was the first of many visits, she wanted to ensure I felt comfortable leaving her office with answers. I never felt rushed with her. Such a great feeling. Sometimes we all judge Drs when they don't see us at exactly the time of our appointment, but we fail to realize that Drs are dealing with human life, and sometimes a patient has additional questions or requires extra attention, so unfortunately it pushes the Dr's appointments out a little...shoe could be on the other foot - it could be you! Dr Rayhanabad ended up performing my surgery a few weeks after my visit. She was professional, courteous and very competent...upon meeting with my oncologist a few weeks later and showing her my new breasts and scar, my oncologist remarked on what a clean and beautiful job Dr. Rayhanabad had done. Apart from the aesthetics, I was impressed by Dr. Rayhanabad's follow through and attention to detail post surgery.
