We went thru the drive thru to get cookies when the employee came to the window she didn't greet me or say anything. She just gave me a go to hell look an acted like I was a huge inconvenience to her to be there. I almost drove off when she was going to get the cookies but I didn'. I was taking back by the whole experience. So I decided to call to talk to someone when I called I spoke to Connie on the phone she didn't see what the problem was an when I told her I think you might want to at least have your employees speak to the customer an greet them or at least say thank you. Connie response was well it is the holiday season I guess she doesn't value her customers a would much rather they get treated like trash from buying from her. Connie has made her mark in Wichita with her eponymous cookies, and while they taste good - in the sense that it's impossible for anything with this much sugar to taste good - many of the cookies with additional elements (M&Ms, chocolate chips) were very stingy on the mix-ins. What's the point of chocolate chip cookie if half of my bites didn't include any chocolate chips? Texturally, these cookies suffered a little bit, too, with all of them being very soft and pliable. Not a bad thing for some cookies, but for sugar and chocolate chip cookies I prefer a little more chew. I think I ended up preferring the darker flavor and color of the gingerbread cookies if only because it provided some complexity beyond the soft sugar of the base model. read more

I don't get this place. I have purchased many things from them. All my experiences have been just so poor based on the premium you pay. I have been told they couldn't make anything beyond simple "happy birthday" cakes because they were just too busy. Good problem to have, I guess, except they didn't get my sale. What really disappoints me, though, is the whole experience of walking in and buying a freshly baked item. For my sons school the other day I came in a few days ahead of time and asked about getting 3-4 dozen cookies. "Oh, no need to pre-order, we'll have them ready". What that means is, they have tons of them pre-bagged in the fridge or freezer, as they just walked over and grabbed some cold ones and rang 'em up when I returned. Same thing, my son wanted a cookie the other day. While I could've just got one at QT next door (where we were at), I thought, surely a nice fresh baked cookies out of the display case is a better option. Walked in, the fairly annoyed looking young cashier waited while he looked at the half-empty display case. He decided on a m&m cookie. "Sure!" she said, as she turned around and grabbed one out of a plastic bag on the back counter. Actually, she had to use both hands to pry them apart. Sigh. He thought it was good, so I guess that's what really matters, but what a crappy "Wichita" experience. If you're looking for that charming fresh made bakery experience, this isn't it. We'll stick to QT next time. I get that it gets busy, that it's hard to get enough staff, but the prices are crazy high, and the quality is not so good. As other reviewers have pointed out, the chips and m&m's, etc, are very sparse and minimal. You wanna freeze all your stuff? I guess you may have to, but it's hard to overlook that when you just lazily grab things out of bags next to the fridge. I suggest you check out Nothing Bundt Cakes. They freeze their stuff, but when you order, it comes out of the case. You get to see what you're buying. Presentation is everything, I'm afraid! read more

Connie's cookies are really good but the customer service alone is not worth a returning visit. I had a delivery order for my clients for the holidays and I waited and called and waited and did not get any answers after waiting for a day for my order. I called the store again and finally got a hold of someone and they confirmed they had my order and that it was supposed to be delivered but they could not deliver the order and I would have to come pick it up. Of course I was a little frustrated at this point, but I had an employee run by to pick up the order. When we arrived they had boxed the cookies incorrectly. We had to return to the store to get extra boxes and re-distribute the cookies ourselves. When I called to speak with the supervisor to share my customer service feedback. Connie cut me off multiple times and said that this is what you can expect over the holidays when she is inundated with orders and there is nothing that she can do about it. She has lost a customer for good and anyone that I know will likely not return to her store either. read more

I called from another state to order birthday cookies for our son who is on an internship. This business was great! They made two dozen of his favorite cookies and delivered to his office building earlier in the afternoon so he could share some. He said they were really tasty and disappeared quickly. I have gotten cookies here several times. Today, when we went in the girl who helped us get our cookies seemed as though it was an inconvenience that we wanted cookies. When my cousin gave birth to her son I want to do something different than flowers. Cookies by Design and Edible Arrangements have been less than stellar lately but I knew I wanted to send something edible. Living in the Oklahoma City area, I was not sure where to get an edible gift from in Wichita. I saw several good reviews on Connie's Cookies and decided to call them to see if they could deliver. The woman who answered the phone was not only friendly but extremely helpful. When the cookies were delivered to the hospital the next day my cousin sent a picture thanking me. The presentation was even better than I had hoped for and everyone commented on how great the cookies were. This was a win all the way around. Presentation was great, price was EXTREMELY affordable, and the cookies were fantastic (so I'm told). I'm definitely going to try them on my next visit up. read more

Well, I just finished the last 4 cookies. One was lemon, one was a plain sugar cookie another was a snicker doodle and the last one was chocolate chip. All these cookies were just ok. :( I honestly think if they would just use real chocolate in their frosting and maybe some lemon peel or lemon juice in the lemon cookie (all I could taste was maybe some lemon flavoring in the icing) this place would be a lot more popular. Another suggestion would be to put some real strawberry in their strawberry cupcake and top it with strawberry frosting with real strawberry something. The only cookie I would recommend would be the snicker doodle because I believe they use real cinnamon (possibly because it may be cheap to buy cinnamon to sprinkle on top)? I don't mean to rake this place over the coals I just think If they took some of these tips they would be phenomenally loved and nationally recognized and loved by the City of Wichita (have I been watching too much of the show called "The Prophet"..perhaps..he he ;) The last tip I have is possibly put more vanilla in their sugar cookies and or the sugar cookie frosting. If the cookies had more flavor I would be at this establishment possibly daily because like I said the cookies and cupcakes are absolutely beautiful to look at! :) read more

The frosted sugar cookies are excellent. It was nice because I was able to buy plain unfrosted cookies for a childrens craft project. They were very accommodating. The downside for me is the location. It's located way way out east nearly to Andover. read more
