The new owners have really changed things here. Let's just say I had gone there a few times a few years ago and had not been back since but with new owners I thought I'd give it a try. Great little locally owned donut shop. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I usually go in early and the young kids/ adults working are great! They are polite and speedy. They were out of filled doughnuts and the young man said no problem and filled and chocolate dipped a few for me. The selection is fantastic and on par with many of the donut shops that offer some eccentric combos in Wichita. They also do a great job with the old favorites. Overall always a great experience here. If you have been in a while or have never been give them a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Best donuts in Kansas. One of the better donuts in the US. Look at my reviews. I have tried the top rated Yelp donut spots all over. San Francisco, San Antonio, Washington DC, Dallas, Seattle and on. Anytime we're out of town we get donuts. We get 1 of each donut and try a bite of each. These were amazing. They were like hurts donut but way better. What hurts wants to be. These donuts have some of the cool flavors like Butterfinger. Only it was a delicious cake donut with a light peanut butter frosting and a sprinkle of crushed Butterfinger. So you get the Butterfinger flavor but you taste the donut. The mint was the same way. Hurts feels like they over do the toppings because they don't want you to taste their inferior donuts. They were fresh, soft, slightly chewy and moist. All around great. read more

I called ahead to order two dozen of whatever they wanted to throw in the box and picked them up 15 minutes later! I love their selection of sodas. They have all sorts of bottled soda that you have never heard of before. The donuts are also amazing with a great variety every time I go in here. The workers are so friendly and helpful. First time coming here and not from around this area, so asked the guy what he suggested, he suggested the peanut butter chocolate, which is so good. I bought a dozen donuts, and a cinnamon roll that was incredibly big and of course 2 dzn donut holes. By far one of the best donuts I've ever had. The donuts were really light and airy, not too sweet, and satisfied my morning hunger! Definitely will be coming back when i'm in town. read more

Not from the area but I do like donuts. This was the first business thst pulled up in my Yelp search. Locals were enamored by this business so I decided to give it a try. Walking in I noticed the place was immaculately clean and modern which is often the exception for non chain based donut shops. Not only that but the decor was really neat, warm, and inviting. They had an incredible selection of choices with all the usuals: cake, raised, cinnamon rolls, etc. I choose the old standby pinecone which was very large compared to other places I have been. As I savored it, I noted that it was not overly laden with cinnamon or glaze which is a good thing cause you want to get a good balance of all the flavors and an ever so subtle hint of the yeast they use to make these babies. The texture was just a little more dense compared to say a Daylight Donut type roll, yet still airy and fluffy enough to keep me happy. All in all, the staff had smiles on their face, were friendly and helpful and got me in and out in very short order. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stop again! read more

I would give Derby Donuts 10 stars, if there was an option! We normally get Saturday morning donuts once or twice a month, at least. I also pick up donuts for the office occasionally. They are without fail always delicious and fresh. Sometimes when I go, there is almost nothing left, which is frustrating but I have started calling before heading over there to save frustration. Last week there was an order mix up that I picked up for the office. I contacted them and the owner responded in record time for any company I have dealt with. He investigated to see what happened so he can train his people properly, which it have to commend! Made it right, super classy and professional!! It's hard to get great food AND great customer service these days. We might just start going in more often after that!! read more

Great donuts great deal! Got the Italian soda and couple dozen donuts. Staff was very friendly and nice. Only thing I would recommend is maybe not have your staff ask customers how to make an Italian soda. But I know how to make a awesome Italian soda so it worked out. Oh man! If you like raised donuts, this is the place for you! Get there early on a Saturday morning because they get overran with customers with a line out the door. As others have stated they have a wide variety of bottled sodas as well.
