I had checked with other bakeries but they were not available on my day. I prayed and read reviews and was led to Wichita Cake Creations and was not disappointed. They were available the day I needed them, the only weekend before wedding season began. My prayers were answered and they reserved that weekend for my husband's party. They were truly a blessing. They took the inspiration and ideas I had and with their expertise they designed the cake and it was perfect. They did an amazing job considering the limited amount of time. The decorated cake was picked up about 3 hours before the party. These ladies are awesome and will meet your expectations. They are very professional and accommodating and are very pleasant to work with. The cake was very delicious and so moist. Everyone at the party spoke very highly about how flavorful and moist the cake was and not overly sweet. Everyone was very pleased and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful party. We've been going there for about 10 years and everytime there was a special occasion we would get a cake. BUT the last few years I've been disappointed. The staff hasn't always been the friendliest. I've had a couple inncidents when I ordered a cake and the person working there just jotted it down like they could of cared less if it would turn out how I asked. One cake I got for my husband looked nothing like how I ordered it. I had to wait for them to fix it, which made us late for our plans and it still didn't look good, but they gave it to me for free. There was another time where I was trying to order a cake and when I was telling them what I wanted a girl told me how they couldn't do stuff like that when I had already had one done like that. The most recent cake was a jewelry box cake that my husband had made and they left out the fact that the top was Styrofoam. So, some people didn't get cake because we thought we had more cake than we did. But when we've called and complained they've always made it right. By giving us the cake for free or giving a discount, which is awesome. I feel bad only leaving 4 stars because this place definitely has good cakes. I've just been disappointed the last couple years with their customer service.
