It's interesting reading all these negative reviews. I have had a great interaction with ConnsHomePlus. The customer service has been nothing but top notch, kind, helpful, and informative. Both online and in person. In June, I actually went to the Grand Prairie store to purchase a washer and dryer. I told the rep what I was looking for and my budget. We found the perfect items in my price range. The delivery was prompt and efficient. The only frustration was, you have to set aside the entire day because they don't give a delivery time frame until the day off. Just last week, I ordered a full kitchen suite. Stove, Fridge, Dishwasher, and over the stove microwave. I accidentally ordered as fridge that ended up not being in stock. So I went to the Oak Cliff Store. The store agent helped me to cancel the order and replace it with items from the show floor. I made a mistake and ordered a microwave was was far too large for my space. They came to install today, and I contacted the store directly, they referred me to the online customer service center. I have had a few conversations with them where I was charged a restocking fee and the difference in the new item. I will state that ordering online is much better than online exchanges. Working with the comp to have a technician "fix" the crack, said they had to order the part ( a piece of wood) and that it was going to take 4-6 weeks (supply chain shortage) then I get an email saying that the tech said the problem was fixed and that my claim was closed WTAF and to add insult to injury the morons that came and put it together put a bolt in upside down and now there is a hole in my non returnable $4000 mattress FTP...DONT DO IT...: Update- no action so far, how many time am I going to have to call? I am currently in the process of trying to buy a fridge from them because the credit option is great. But I'm already skeptical and thinking of cancelling this order. Was told i would get an update on shipping with in 24 hours. Still no update 2 days later. Have tried to call online department because i found the same fridge since then and it's cheaper so plans to change. Literally have been on hold for over and hour and still on hold while i type this. Have tried to call two other departments and no one can help. They said i can go into the store and they can do it there but after reading these reviews I'm probably headed to the store to cancel this order. If i can't get help with an order now, what will happen if i need service k Since then, went into the store directly and the salesperson i dealt with was fantastic. He was very professional and helped really quickly. He was able to switch out the two products and even schedule my delivery within two days. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Purchased a love seat and table and chairs over a month ago. Upon delivery and assembly of chairs the assembly crew stripped the screws out of the chair bases and left them as "good" even though they were stripped. When sitting on them, the crews fell out. Called conns to replace chairs. They sent defective chairs and I didn't accept the delivery. Conns has never contacted me back and I still do not have the correct number of chairs that I purchased from them. When I call the store, numerous times, they redirect me, tell me it's not their department to help me, and then hang up on me. I am still out two chairs and they have never tried to fix the situation. Do not purchase from this store or company. Horrible customer service, delivery, and assembly. You would think the installation of a dishwasher usually something that can be completed without complication. I purchased a dishwasher in November and have yet to use it. It was never installed correctly and the person who installed it decided not to run a cycle to see if everything was OK. He just told me if you have a problem call service. Since that time three service techs and another instal tech have been to my house and my dishwasher is still not working. Meanwhile I have made two payments on a non-functioning dishwasher. The family of Aaron and the level of ineptness surrounding a simple installation is staggering. The frustrating thing is throughout this process I haven't run into one person who Since posting my review they did send someone out to look at the dishwasher again. This time he was a supervisor a troubleshooter. He was able to correct all the mistakes and install my dishwasher correctly. It took six tries but I finally have my dishwasher in working order. Reporting this company to the BBB! The only issue I have is , why lie ?!!!! If there is a shortage in parts and the appliance won't be available be truthful! My Gf purchased our fridge in CASH on 8/9 and was told we would have our fridge on 9/11 ! That's over a month! We said ok !sure, taking that sacrifice because the price For the fridge we wanted was great ! We call on 9/10 at 6pm because we didn't receive a call about our delivery and the rep states that it won't be delivered until Sunday 9/13 but we go into the store today only to be told that we won't have our fridge until 10/7! What ?! A whole other month! No call ,no email, no updates ! AND forget about getting a refund just as fast as they took the money. We were told because we paid cash ,it would take up to 2 weeks to get a paper check in the mail. Just straight up janky the whole company! Ordered a fridge, waited 3 hours for the delivery just for them to lie and say we refused it when they never showed up. We reschedule the delivery and they bring us a broken refrigerator. Went into the store purchased over $7,000 in less than two hours on multiple items. That experience was amazing! Since the delivery of our items the worst customer service ever. Items came damaged, was told items would be put together and that didn't happen.. then a week later damage to a ban new queen sized box spring and I can't get answers of a replacement. Do not ever in your life use #Conns Home Plus for anything. I went to the store off 20 & Wheatland in Dallas the Monday before thanksgiving. I order a sofa sleeper and asked for it to be delivered that Friday. The delivery window was from 1:30 to 4:30. At around 4 o'clock, someone called and said that the drivers were running a little behind schedule & would be there around 5 o'clock. Cool. Here we are rolling into 6:30 and I am calling trying to figure out where they are. I called the distribution center and a manager, Malcom, told me that the dispatcher gave me wrong information and the drivers would be there around 7:30. Frustrated, I said ok but I had already lost a full day waiting for them. I was moving and trying to get everything set up before I had to go to work on Monday. They got there finally but couldn't get the sleeper sofa up the stairs. They called dispatch and they dude basically told me they delivery drivers could leave the couch downstairs or I could refuse the couch. I asked could they just leave it downstairs and come back the next day with more people to get the couch up stairs. The dispatcher told me no, so I refused the couch. I called Malcom back at the warehouse and he told me that he could have had that arranged but since I already refused the couch, he would just schedule me in on Sunday with a three man team. Well Sunday comes... still no couch. I called him back and he scheduled me for Tuesday. I was at work and Conns automatic system called and said they were 10 minutes away. This was around 1. I called my mama to let her know. I get out of my meeting around 5 and called my mama and guess what.... there is still no couch. At this point, I don't even want it anymore. Now yesterday, I called conns and it is showing up in there system that the couch was delivered. I have been waiting for since yesterday for a manager to call me back. I hope they know I am not paying for the couch and they need to figure out who the couch was supposedly delivered to. They are so unprofessional, unorganized, inconsiderate and any other un- or in- I can't think of at this moment. I am about to go up here and Jesus be with me when I do. This is the short version of what happened. We didn't even talk about how they scratched up this floor and I am still waiting to hear back from them about the reimbursement claim. BUT... DO NOT EVER ORDER with this company!!! They are horrid, have zero customer service, and I hope everyone see's this and goes elsewhere. I placed an online order on 5-29-23. Their system would not allow me to upload my insurance verification until 6-1. I think everything is fine, don't hear anything. So I call 06-06, and I an told that my account is incompelte and they transfer me to their online division. I speak with a very wonderful young lady and she advises that she see's I submitted my verification and that my order should have already been processed. She stated that she will send an email over and that I should be receiving an email stating my order had been processed. Mind you, this is a $3000 order. I don't receive an email, so I call back 6-7, and get told the same exact thing. Your order is incomplete let me transfer you. Now this time I get a not so nice person on the phone who then proceeds to tell me that I had just submitted my verification and I stopped not so nice lady and advised that she is lying because the rep yesterday stated she could see I submitted it 6-1. To save time I will shorten the encounter, but she then states that she will send ANOTHER email and that I should be receiving an email stating my order had been processed. I then go on Google reviews and express my frustration with this process and I get a canned lame ass response with no contact, no call, no email...NOTHING. So I go back on Google and see that ALL OF THE OTHER responses offer an email to follow up with, EXCEPT mine, so I send an email....AGAIN NOTHING. So I decide to check my order online to see what it says and THEY CHANGE THE GD ORDER DATE TO 6-8 THUSLY illiminating 10 EFFING days of me waiting on it. If you are more than a day late you will be harassed incessantly. The customer service (I use that term lightly) is a total joke. The language and cultural barriers make a simple call a nightmare. These people called my mothers phone 17 times over a three day period. She was late 5 days and only has 4 payments left! This is harassment at its best. I have reported them as such. I have been a customer of Conn's and purchased a washer, dryer, and refrigerator recently. I have purchased furniture from them in the past and never had I had any issues up until now. I am writing this because Conn needs to do a better job when it comes to customer payments being mailed to them. Here recently, I mailed a payment as scheduled and for some apparent reason, I have been receiving calls stating Conn's has not received their payment when in fact I have a canceled check to verify they have received it and my bank showed it was taken out of my account. For those that are going to purchase equipment from Conn's be forewarned that if you mail in a payment you will more than likely receive calls stating they have not received your payment and they will state will proceed with collections even though you state payment has been mailed to them. I have never experienced any bad experiences with Conn's until now. I have never experienced where once a payment has been received that I would have to send Conn's a proof of payment from my bank showing payment has been made. I do not understand how a payment once it is received does not reflect my account is in good standing instead I continue to receive emails and phone calls that a payment has not been received. This is uncalled for and an unnecessary waste of time especially when I have proof that I paid on time. I do not understand Conn's accounting practices and why it takes verification of payment received through their system. Obviously, they do not have checks and balances in place to ensure customer payments are put into their system in a timely manner. read more

I ordered a living room double recliner set and it has been going on two weeks. I went into the store on Hulen in Fort Worth. I asked for delivery but since the billing address is in Dallas, Conns' refuse to let me pay for delivery for Fort Worth address for my childrens wedding gift that is why I am giving a low review. It cost $150 to have it delivered. If it is being financed and everything can be tracked it makes me mad when they could have delivered to them or at least to the Hulen Store to be picked up by me. Initially, I ordered a washer and dryer set. It's my first time getting appliances, so I come in with measurements of the space and ask for help selecting the units. First delivery, the truck breaks down so they reschedule. Second delivery, the guys don't even try to bring either item up, just tell me it doesn't fit and to figure it out at the store. I go back to the store, they have an attitude with the drivers and reschedule delivery for the same items. Next delivery, the drivers actually bring the dryer up and confirm it won't fit the space. I go back to the store, review literally every washer and dryer's dimensions only to confirm that NOTHING will fit. Ok, fine. I'll get a bedroom set, mattress, and sound bar instead. They were supposed to deliver my bedroom set and mattress last night. Automated messenger calls 2 minutes before the end of the delivery window saying the truck would be here 30 minutes from then...but they never show. So I'll keep the sound bar, but I refuse to do any further business with y'all. And now y'all wanna deliver tomorrow when nobody is going to be home and are literally making no effort to correct an issue that YOU caused. I wouldn't have even known if I didn't call this morning. This is a piss poor experience, a far cry from my first experience with y'all a few years ago. Stop using 3rd party delivery. Add the damn dimensions to your floor tags on appliances. I am never going to waste my time spending my hard earned money on this business again. It took me almost an hour and a half trying to log onto the website and turns out I couldn't log on because it said my request was blocked. I am NOT going to have interest tacked onto my bill because I can't get onto the website to get to my account to try to make a payment. I shouldn't have to pay if I can't log on but I don't want my credit to get screwed over. I would rather be refunded ALL the money I had put towards the laptop and have it put towards something else. No matter how many times I refreshed the page or used a different device, it still said my request was blocked. I could've went somewhere else for a better deal and have been able to make a payment with out this kind of problem. I shouldn't have to have my time wasted trying to go through this mess. The first time I went in there and left with a laptop that didn't work and had to go through a hassle to go all the way back to the store then had to go to the warehouse to get the one that actually worked. Not all in the same day mind you. My experience with this business is beyond terrible. I am very unhappy with Conn's home plus and appliances service at the 3450 Bainbridge Dr Suite 520, location in Dallas Texas in the Wheatland Crossing shopping center (store 089). We recently purchased an Italian leather 3-piece recliner set with titanium cup holders and a blue tooth speaker In May of 2020 and we received a 500 Conns gift card with our purchased which we planned to buy a new TV with when we received it. We were so excited to get our TV and in October 2020 we went to Conns to purchase our tv, we used our 500 Conns gift-card and we paid 257.00 for a 70-inch LG smart TV. Well the salesman Tramel Jones was very rude the whole time and did not seem very friendly or happy to answer our questions, he did not offer any warranty or ask if we wanted delivery or anything. To make a long story short they brought the tv out to my husband's truck and helped him load it and tie it down. My husband waited 2 days to set up the tv when he had some help ( it was a 70 inch tv) and when the tv was plugged in half the tv showed a black screen like it was cracked inside but not on the outside. This tv was not dropped and was kept standing upright the entire way home and at our house so there should be no cause for this tv to be broken. We contacted Conns and spoke with a general manager named Rodney who specifically asked if the tv worked when the salesman showed us the tv by plugging it up in front of us at the store. Per Rodney this is a company policy that the salesman must plug in the tv in front of the customer to make sure it works before it leaves the store. Well Tramel did not do this although they said he plugged it in in the back of the store (which he lied, our tv was still sealed tight in the box). They said they have it on video , well I would like to see that video because Conns refused to reimburse us for this tv or trade it out and I am highly pissed because they are not following their own policy and this shows poor customer service. Per Rodney Tramel was written up for not showing us when they plugged in the tv in the back of the store, but if there was a wrong done why are we being punished? My husband and I have been long time customers of Conns for over 10 years and we have referred several customers to them, but I will no longer purchase anything else or refer anyone to them. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before I spent a thousand dollars on a chair. It was supposed to be delivered Sunday, today is Monday, and today they are telling me it's going to be delivered on Tuesday. No matter who you call, no one knows anything but they know enough to charge you for delivery. Worst store ever.....Let's see if they can make things right. Even Corporate is useless. At this point, I bought a product that wasn't given to me. So, BBB will be my next stop. Update They ended up delivering the chair at 7pm on Monday but not before it was assumed that I and my 80 year old grandmother lied when we told them the delivery guy told us he would be there after 9pm on Sunday. My grandmother is not going to accept a delivery that late at night while she's there by herself. Conn said the driver told us 8pm. That was a lie but they believed him. I left a negative comment on the Conns facebook page and was blocked. I was told that if I want my money back I would have to return to the store...I don't live in dallas. Be aware, Conns does not own the delivery company so they can basically do whatever they want; it's out of Conns hands. This is the worst furniture company I've had to deal with, that may be because they have children working there who do not know how to address difficult situations. The only bright light was a guy name John at the store who did try to help but since he depended on other, the couldn't. So I say this, upper management is useless in the company and I'm not surprised that they are not an industry leader or even in the top 5. DO NOT BUY FROM CONN'S HOME PLUS!!!! I know it seems an easier route to go when you're short on cash and need an item immediately. That's what happened to me. I moved, I didn't have a refrigerator, so I bought one ON CREDIT (not a credit account) from Conn's. The NAME in itself is quite fitting. IF you buy an item and add a warranty to the item, BEWARE! The warranty WILL EXPIRE before you pay for the item in totality. By doing this, if something goes WRONG with your item, once the warranty expires, you are responsible for the service visit and the parts needed to FIX the item. AND, they DO NOT OFFER an extended warranty on any item once it expires. So, you are left with an item that is DAMAGED and needs repair, yet you are still bound by the agreement to PAY OFF the item. This is UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT get scammed like I did. NEVER EVER again will I EVER purchase ANYTHING from this company. Be warned. They are indeed CONN'S! Find another way to finance or pay for an item when your back is against the wall. It would behoove you to bypass this route because you will wound up with merchandise that needs repairing, yet has a PAID FOR warranty on the item(s) that CANNOT be renewed or extended. At that point, you are GIVING AWAY your hard-earned MONEY on an item(s) that the COMPANY WILL NOT FIX. Don't do it. I learned my lesson. I will NEVER recommend Conn's to anyone. From the day I made the purchase. Three salesman waited on my if one got busy with a customer, they sent someone else to complete the order. The delivery was a disaster. The delivery men never knocked on door, never moved any furniture to get new items to there proper place just knocked it into furniture, had to ask for the plastic and tape be removed. Did not want to take old appliances. Now I'm dealing with a few scratches on appliances and I'm getting the run around. My fault I did not do my homework and read the reviews. So many complaints. Worse. Experience. Ever. I took my family to Conn's to purchase a new Matress and Box Spring for our master bedroom and a new Living Room suite. We found what we wanted and agreed to buy. Sitting at the salesman's (Brian) desk, we were rushed through the paperwork. Brian scrolled through all the 'fine print' on his tablet really quickly. I was asked to initial and sign on the tablet and all of a sudden my initials and signature auto-populated in several places on their contract that I did not get a chance to read beforehand... very shady. Later, when I received a copy of this contract in my email, I sat down and read the whole thing. I was more than a little surprised to notice a little over $1,000 in added fees and insurance that I was never asked about and never would have agreed too. I had to make a second trip up to that store in order to argue with Brian and the manager to get those items removed from the contract. Now, on to the delivery of our furniture... I received a phone call the morning of delivery to let me know they would be arriving around noon to deliver our furniture. I took off of work in order to be there for the delivery. I sat there the rest of the day wondering where they were. They didn't get there until after 7pm that night! I could've stayed at work instead of losing money by being at home waiting for them. Once they arrived, they were moving extremely fast and were obviously trying to get out of there as quickly as possible. The sofa was placed against a side wall out of the way so they could get through the room with everything else they were bringing in. They unwrapped all of the furniture and when they unwrapped the sofa, I noticed one of the cushions had a scratch and two punctured holes in the leather. The delivery guy picked up the cushion to examine it and spare change fell out of the couch! I looked at him and was about to ask why would there be spare change in my 'new' couch when he quickly pocketed said change and tried to make it sound like it came from one of the warehouse guys or something. He said he would bring me a new cushion for the sofa the following day and would call me when he was on his way. I was pressured into signing his form for delivery of everything and then they were gone. The next day, he never called and never showed up with my cushion. I had to start calling Conn's back relentlessly (every 30 minutes or so) in order to get anyone to do anything about it. At 11:00PM that night (no joke it was 11pm), our doorbell rings and it's some other guy from Conn's warehouse dropping off a new cushion for the sofa..... 11PM at night!!! The next morning we moved the sofa into position in the room. It is set up so the back of the sofa is exposed to the room. We noticed some damage to the back of the sofa in several places... I'm talking about the leather coming apart from the back of the sofa, a couple of what look like burn marks, a nail or screw sticking up under the leather in the top of the sofa about to pop through the leather, plus some other random scratches. I have gone round and round with just about everyone at Conn's trying to get this sofa exchanged for one that isn't damaged and finally, over two weeks later, I received notice that my request to exchange the sofa has been denied. So now we are being forced to keep a damaged sofa instead of a nice new sofa we paid over $1,000 for. This is absolutely unacceptable and has to be one of the worse cases of customer service I have ever heard of, much less experienced on my own. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY FROM CONN'S. Our washer and dryer both died. My daughter and I were tired of throwing money into short lived repairs so we were looking for new. Ok, approved for a ton of Yes money. Woo Hoo! Figured had to be cheaper than RentACenter so off we went. Was greeted and helped right away. We made our selection and then sat down to finalize everything. The salesman said I'm throwing in the maintenance plan so you'll have piece of mind for a couple of years. Being transplanted New Yorkers, to us "throwing in" means here's a freebie! Not So! Even the girl at the service desk kinda sorta agreed with us. Waited a couple days too long to rewrite the initial agreement but to avoid all that interest, we'll be done paying these off way before the year is out. Our salesman looked like George Lopez. Maybe they all use the same trick though. Most money is made on the service agreements. Listen and read carefully! Further, they're not that cheap on some items. My wife and I just purchased our first home we were in need of furniture we found conns, heard about this place so stopped by, Wanted to walk around and look at some furniture, THERE IT WENT THE CONN MAN THE SALES PERSON, sat us down after we picked out our furniture and feed us a bunch of CONN ARTIST info on the extended warranty stating if you buy the extended warranty on your furniture you will be covered from top to bottom and side to side on any kind of damage, rips, tears to what ever no questions asked, so trusting the CONN ARTIST we bought the warranty, BIIIIGGGGG MISTAKE WASTE OF MONEY. Well here it went, the poor cheap quality we paid 5k tore, so I said to my self no problem the CONN MAN said I was covered I call the warranty department and made a claim she states they will be out in 1 week so one week goes by. The CONN ARTIST rep comes to the door smelling like a box of cigarettes and dressed like a hobo asked to come inside and take pictures I said sir are you sure you work for the CONN ARTIST store he stated yes. So I let him in while he is taking pictures he tells me don't get mad if they don't approve my claim, I told him why wouldn't they my CONN ARTIST sales man said I'm coveted top to bottom side to side no matter what the hobo tells me in these words o Mr he used the old school sales pitch just to get a sale!!!!!! So three weeks later no one calls me I have to call and get a status well they said they would call back, another week goes by finally a call!!!! I would told as soon as I picked up we will not cover your couches have a good Christmas and hung up on me. I was pretty mad but calmed down and called the store to find out what was going on I speak to the store manager who kept me on hold for 45 minutes hoping I would hang up finally comes back to the phone and states your covered good to go I should get a call from the claims department with in a week so I started OK thank you, well well well no call for another 2 weeks so I go in person another 2 hour wait, again he stays we got you covered well here I am still waiting and waiting. I made a $10,000 purchase and I was promised that it would be delivered on Sunday which is Father's Day, so I put off our arrangements for Father's Day while we waited for our delivery. I received a call from the warehouse stating that it was going to be delivered on Monday! I called the store and I was put on hold for 15 minutes and they hung up on me!! I called back and was put on hold another 30 minutes waiting for the supervisor to take my call and they hung up on me againmy husband called and told them we were on our way to store. When I arrived at the store I requested corporates number. I was seen by the supervisor Sanchez but he didn't even want to acknowledge we were there! I called corporate and they didn't do anything to help but typed in a complaint. The sales person Jaime was awesome but his hands were tied to what he can do to help. There is a reason all their locations receive one to two stars it starts at the top at their corporate office in The Woodlands, TX. I feel sorry for the employees in all their locations. Very unethical company that takes advantage of the types of customer they try to attract which I am one. The finance people they have are trained to lie, cheat, steal, and the very least get you to go away so they can continue their business practices. You send in your monthly payment and they say they never receive it even though your bank provides proof Conn's deposited the check. They tell you to fax the proof over and they never get back with you. You call they give you the run around. Then when you finally pay off the account and they email you stating so they still deduct money from your debit card on file ( if you have it listed as part of your on-line account info) and tell you your account was set-up on "auto pay" and it never was. Then they give you the run around about that or what they are really good at playing dumb. Stay away because when you think you are done with them you are not! read more
