It was brought to my attention that Conn's has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. I didn't think much of it until I got home & discovered my washer motor had gone out & the brand new refrigerator we just purchased is not big enough, doesn't have enough freezer space. So we are puttin it in the indoor/outdoor kitchen & getting another for our primary kitchen. We also need a new mattress. Anyhoo, Conn's to the rescue as they are now having their going out of business sale with 30-50% off storewide. JUST FYI: Florida and Texas will see the most store closures at 18 & 9 locations, respectively. I will have to say that there are some decent prices, however when you compare the quality I feel that they are offering a discounted, lesser quality prosuct. While it is true that you get what you pay for, this will at least look nice for a little while. I would recommend that you shop around rather than come here first. Most of the items that look like leather are truly not leather and you can get a better quality option and cloth. Still, check them out you might like what they have to offer. read more

trying to give this place another try..bust! go to store at 0930..closed..double check ppening times online and on doors...all say doors open at 0900 on Saturday..call store..they tell us they are having computer issues so can't open..but MIGHT and open closer to 10:00...ask if we can come in and just look in meantime..told that we can't do that. If you won't even let folks come in and look...there is a problem bigger than computer issues. read more

In March I purchased an LG refrigerator from Conn's in Pensacola. As I was arranging for the delivery, I specifically asked the manager, Josh Yankiver, if the delivery crew were Conn's employees, as I did not want subcontractors. The manager assured me more than once that the delivery crew were in fact, Conn's employees. He also stated that I could refuse delivery if the item was unsatisfactory, and that the delivery crew would level the refrigerator, hook up the water line to the ice maker, and give a brief explanation of the features of the appliance. On the day of the scheduled delivery, after waiting over an hour past my delivery window, a crew finally showed. When I spoke with the person in charge of the delivery crew, I found out that they were subcontracted by Conn's, and not Conn's employees as the manager had assured me at the time of the sale. They were in a total rush because they had 4 other deliveries to get to that night. They placed the appliance in the kitchen and that was it - they didn't even plug it in, much less level it, hook up the water line, or explain any of the features. The deceptive and disingenuous sales practice at Conn's is appalling. The manager outright lied to me in order to make the sale. There were several other merchants from whom I could have purchased this appliance, but because of a previous very positive experience with Conn's many years ago, I opted to purchase from Conn's again. Big mistake on my part. I emailed corporate with my displeasure and a representative, Nicole, responded and offered a $50 gift card towards my next purchase at Conn's. At this point, I have I lost ALL trust in Conn's and refused her offer. Based upon this negative experience, I will never purchase anything from Conn's again. read more

In July we purchased a refrigerator a sofa a love seat a hassock a kitchen table and six chairs and a washer and dryer When delivered they did not have screws for the feet of the hassock. Had to call several times to get them to purchase screws and put the feet on. Then while sitting on one of the kitchen chairs it begin to fall apart. Upon inspection most of the chairs were missing screws that held the lower portion together. Again had to call several times to get them to get the screws and come and out to put them into the chairs. When they did come they realized the original delivery people damaged a chair ( probably why they didn't put screws in the other chairs). They said they reported the issue and a new chair would be brought to us. Once again we had to call several times to get a response from them. Apparently all the issues stem from the delivery department that doesn't return calls or follow up with customers. The young female (assistant) is a snotty little "B". I won't deal with her any longer. Now we realized that the leaf was missing a piece (we don't usually sit in that side of the table ). We spoke in person at the store to Josh. We gave him pictures. He was supposed to contact someone who would contact us to take care of this issue. After 3 weeks and numerous phone calls to the store we still have no communication. It's a pretty simple fix. Get a new leaf and deliver it. Their customer service department is of little help. You can sit on the phone forever listening to irritating music while waiting for them to "check " on the situation. If you purchase from them thoroughly inspect your items. I've never had such inept delivery and service anywhere ever read more

The worst customer service. I have never been so disappoint in my life. Not even the manager care. I have huge issue and he even said he drop the ball. I really like the store and the stuff but after that it all went down hill fast. I had my sister who is about the shop for her new home and was going there now not. And a lot of friends. read more

this store is horrible BUYERS BEWARE Josh the store manager will insult you slander you hang up on you and his employee Jason is just as bad long story short my son worked his tail off to buy this stupid desk from this stupid store was told Sunday that the desk would be ready for pickup on Monday rented a van sue to the store sales guy Jason saying it would not fit in our car ok fine we rented a small van came Monday no desk not even a phone call to notify us they then said wed so ok we rented the van again and just took the loas well today is wed and again no desk Jason the sales guy now says not until Friday so we just said to cancel the order as this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional at best he then became very aggressive and threatening cursing at my son and myself all while being very hostile then with a very sarcastic attitude he said if we even get a refund it won't be for three weeks now I am a business owner myself in Florida if I don't receive a response from the owner or corporate by fr morning I will not only take this to wear 3 news as a scam company and have them place it on there famous to catch a crook episode I will infact contact my credit card company and I will then send your information to my lawyer I don't think either of us wants this trouble but your employees are making your company look pretty stupid right about now might want to pick up that phone and place a call as I am one that don't take kindly to being told if we get a refund I am going to get my refund for my son. read more
