If I could give a negative rating, I would. I purchased a washer and dryer set and a set of couches. I then referred my kids. My daughter purchased a washer/dryer set and a big screen tv. My son purchased an electric reclining couch and a big screen tv. We all were encouraged to purchase the insurance so that in case anything broke, it would be repaired free I'd charge. Although it was expensive, we did yo ensure we wouldn't come out of pocket after making such big purchases. About 2 weeks after my son purchased his couch, the recline feature stopped working. After a technician inspected, he determined a part needed to be ordered. It took a while for the part to arrive, no fault of their's, they can't control when parts arrive. Since the part has arrived, we have had TWO different technicians not show up, reschedule AND lie about no one answering the door. I've spoken to a manger at Conn's (Raul) who sent an email and informed me he would call me back with an update, never heard back. I followed up today, spoke with Raul again, he told me he received a reply and that he has 3 managers working on this but due to the holiday, he probably wouldn't get a response if he followed up today. I asked for the number to the furniture repair department and spoke to an associate by the name of Laura. She informed me that there was already a new appointment made for 12.2.22 We had no idea which means a tech would have shown up, no one would be home and the cycle continues. Laura provided more info than the actual manager at Conn's. He could've easily made the same phone call that I did, probably wouldn't have been on hold for over 20 minutes and been able to inform me of the new appointment. Conn's passes problems on to the next person and nothing can get resolved. I couldn't even find out what time this "new" appointment has been set for. Went to look at stoves and ended up buying stove microwave and refrigerator over $3000 worth of appliances. Scheduled a delivery two weeks out. All appliances in stock. When we got the delivery the microwave wasn't there they had given it to someone else. The store people were not helpful. Couldn't get it delivered for two more days. Store manager promised help and never called again. Promised compensation for having to go get it ourselves at the warehouse. Nothing and the warehouse personnel was rude and slow. I purchased a brand new washer and dryer in January. The washer broke and starting leaking badly not even 6 months in. I opened a claim, they give me a run around and cannot meet their own policy guidelines of replacing my washer after 30 days because nobody has made it out to my home to repair it. To date I still have a broken washer and I'm still given the run around and top things off I'm asked to call repair companies to follow up... management can't get on the phone either only representatives. Mind you my flooring is highly costly and is being damaged and me going out to a washateria is risking my health during these times... conns doesn't care!!! I've purchased two appliances at this store. When you first walk in the sales people seem knowledgeable and pleasant. I've purchased two appliances. The first was an LG washer. It worked fine no complaints. The second was a $900 dishwasher. I had some issues with it working properly. My biggest complaint is the customer service you get when you need to get something fixed after having it 30 days. Keep in mind, they will not take it back after 30 days. Even if it's not working properly. All of sudden, no one can help. That knowledgeable pleasant person you met when you were purchasing has turned on you. All of the sudden he has to ask the manager for help. I was being transferred to one person then the next. It was very frustrating. If you plan to purchase an appliance from here remember you have 30 days to return it. Otherwise, expect to be very dissatisfied and disappointed. read more

Do not ever go to this conns! The managers name is Vick and he is not a man of his word!!! My fiancé and I picked out some couches for our new apartment and was told by Vick that we can exchange them if we are not satisfied with them/if they are damaged too we can exchange them since we had got insurance on them too. Come to find out when we called the store to see how the process of that works, Vick said that he never told us that we could exchange them and that there's nothing that he could do, he just kept giving me a bunch of unhelpful numbers even though he told us in person that we could exchange them or work with us in some way. What kind of B.S is this?! Also for the note the couches at the store are not as comfortable as the ones you pick up from the warehouse, the are hard as rock and super uncomfortable! I bought an LG Stainless Steel fridge back in 2014 with an extended service plan which is good until May 2018 over the last year my panel board on this unit has scrooched the stainless and Conns has replaced this twice, now 7 mos later it has done it again and the last time this happened I was told that if it happened again they would replace the fridge itself being this is a fire hazard, while now we are here and they are telling me that it has to happen 3 times in one year before replacement can be done.....I feel that Conns is just pushing this off being my warranty is almost up and than I will be out of luck.....this is not going to happen if I have anything to do with it, anyone know any lawyers that would be willing to take this case? read more

Would give 0 stars if i could. Went in to pay off my account with my husband and was told by the lady at the counter and a salesman we could pay it off with a check written from a bank. The check happened to be over the amount that we owed. Again, The counter lady and salesman said it would be fine, and that CONNS would send us the difference by mail within 4-6 wks. However, when the store manager came over to complete the transaction, (tall, heavyset Caucasian lady) she states they couldn't accept it. When asked why not and her two coworkers say we could, she again just said she couldn't. No explanation, just "We can't". We called the stores 800# to complain that we were embarrassed and felt discriminated against because we were of African American (myself) and Asian decent(my husband). The salesman and counter lady were both Hispanic. Apparently, this manager had some kind of problem with us as she didn't make eye contact the entire time. We had to go across town to another CONNS location to pay off our account and although we wasted gas and time, they completed our transaction in less than 5 minutes! And were very friendly. I leave this here because after our complaints to CONNS, they promised to call us back within 72hrs to give us status on our complaints and its been two wks and we haven't heard anything. Also was told they would put a rush on our check for the difference....must have not been to big of a rush as we are still waiting. We had been pretty regular customers at this CONNS, after this incident, we will take our business elsewhere and warn everyone we can go do the same. read more

The sales representative Nora Garza never once told us she would charge $1000 for just an application fee. We unfortunately found out once we took a 30 point credit drop. Once we found this out we called customer service right away, after being transferred several times we finally got a hold of someone, but soon found out he wasn't much help either. we had to physically go into the store just to have this situation rectified fortunately we did take off the extended warranty from our bill. I purchased an window Heating and air conditioning unit. With it I also purchased their extended warranty. This air conditioner's motor stopped functioning middle of June, 2013, part was ordered, it took over ten days for service man to return with new part. When the part was installed, come to find out, it was not the right part. Now a new part had to be ordered and I have to wait another five days to receive part. In the meanwhile, we have been experiencing 100+ degree days. This is not the first time this unit has needed service and again that first experience there was difficulty with the maintenance service plan. When I called their customer service at this maintenance service department I kept getting the runaround about when the part would come in, the part was not ordered until three days later after the repairman had checked the unit and found out what was wrong with this unit. I will never again purchase any appliances or electronics from Conn's. They seem to have incompetent personnel working in this department and talking to a supervisor or person in charge does no good, and you don't get any honest answers. read more
