***Delivery Crew Danger***…read more I have achieved a new level of anger this evening, at the ineffective and lazy delivery men of AFW. On top of them throwing my couches, damaging my walls, being insanely rude to my wife, cursing, intimidating my wife about having to take pieces of our couch up a flight of stairs, and complaining the whole time they were here, I have now discovered that the American Furniture Warehouse delivery men helped me achieve a new level of CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION, by not even actually assembling the couch! Please tell me what was the purpose of the delivery?! What the actual fudge is the delivery fee for?! I only discovered this after I heard squeaking and grinding as we tried to recline and sit. And when I pulled on the top of the seats they all came apart. I have no idea if there is damage now and I cant begin to express my anger enough. This is the 2nd time AFW has failed massively. I realized as i came here to leave this review they botched our delivery for my daughter's bedroom set 4 & 1/2 years ago. I had forgotten that, and inadvertently i have given them another chance. Its good to see they consistently fail. My mistake. Smh.

I figured anything bought on the island would be ridiculously high in price, so I drove up to the Houston area and did some furniture shopping. Finally, I decided on a custom love seat and chair from Lazy Boy. I got a price on it, but decided to go home and think about it before actually purchasing. On my way into town the following day, I decided to stop into Star Furniture there on Broadway. Mr Guy came and showed me around trying to find me something "beachy" as I thought that would be a nice change. He spent more than a half hour trying to find the right look; however, nothing really won me over like the sofa and chair I had in mine from Houston. I showed Mr Guy the photo of the furniture I wanted and he said, "Oh we can order this; we are a Lazy Boy dealer." Since I would rather spend money locally in Galveston than in Houston, I said ok. See what you can do. He then spent well over an hour working with me locating the right product, fabric, and accessories to match the one I had picked out in Houston. When it was all over, he found exactly what I wanted AND saved me $660 in the process! I am more than delighted! I can't say enough good about the service I received here. Mr. Guy is the man you want to see next time you're looking for furniture! And tell him Cindy sent you!

Jo was our sales associate. She was very helpful and made great suggestions. We didn't get to the store until after 2 pm, so we were concerned we may not be able to get the furniture delivered the following day. The manager overheard us and stepped in to help. We were so pleased with the turn time. The delivery guys showed up at the time promised. They were able to take the old furniture away that my friend didn't want. They were very friendly and I know the old furniture they moved out really gave them a run for their money. The old couch was bigger and hard to get out of the doorway. I'm not sure how long they are running the sale. When we went on Friday, it was a buy one get one free sale. Great deals, great value on big brands, friendly service, big selection, fast processing, and on-time quick delivery. What more could you ask for?

Little did we know that we'd find the perfect table in our backyard. We found The Market Station on Instagram and Facebook (TheMarketStation). My wife saw a table on their social media page that she really wanted to go see. She fell in love with it immediately. Not only did she find a table she likes but, much to my chagrin, found other pieces she liked as well. If I'm honest, I also liked several other pieces in their store as well. The owner (Cathy Young) is on-site and very personable. When we bought the table, we didn't need it delivered. However, if you need delivery, I think they offer local delivery through a third party. Bottom line - A fantastic furniture and decor store that offers a variety of larger furniture pieces as well as artwork and other decor. Definitely worth a visit if you're in "the market."

I'm so glad that I finally went inside, and now I am telling everyone I know what a great find this place is! I had been looking for the perfect dining room table, and after going to all the big name stores, and not seeing anything I liked I went into this store. Lula was extremely helpful going around the entire store and taking measurements. Everything I had found so far had been too big or too small. I have a dining room that is mostly used as a kid's media room/hang out, so I didn't want anything to dominate the room. The entire store was amazing, and there were several options in the store that would work for my room. I left the store with Lula's card and spent the next week emailing her back and forth with measurements, and discussing options. Lula was so kind, and always emailed me back immediately. After going to the store a second time, I realized from the sign, that both times I went to the store was at their closing time. Each time they stayed to help me for almost an hour, and never mentioned that they were closed. Lula's husband even agreed to make some physical modifications to the table that I wanted. Try asking for that at a big named furniture store! The table is in my house now, and after delivery Lula contacted me to make sure that everything was ok.
