Had a great experience with Cody about 3 or 4 years ago, so when a family member needed engine work I foolishly recommended this place. My how they've changed. No Cody, and current guy (Nick) is a real charmer let me tell you. Took a few days to get an estimate (not unusual), then sat another week waiting to be worked on. Then they called to say their tech didn't have time for such a big job (replace water pump) and could we please come pick up the vehicle (yup, the one with a broken water pump that couldn't be driven). Nick, who has an abrasive and very defensive personality, said it was "beyond his control"(?) As if an earthquake or plague of locusts had prevented him from completing the job he had quoted almost a week earlier. My new recommendation is to stay clear of this place... read more

Was having trouble with the battery in one of my vehicles. It wouldn't hold a charge so I had to keep jumping it. Drove into the station and was immediately assisted by both mechanics on duty. Their attitude was polite and professional and they were able to help me right away despite the fact that I didn't have an appointment. It's good to have a neighborhood mechanic that can help with problems like these that will inevitably pop up from time to time. read more

We got a coupon in the mail for a $14.95 oil change, and seeing that it was close to home we decided to try it out. Service was very quick and polite enough. So why the 2 star rating? Because the $14.95 oil change ended up being a $23.92 oil change. The coupon said that 5 quarts of oil were included, but did not specify what weight of oil was included. So there was an up charge for 10/40. Seriously, apparently 10/40 is an uncommon weight. There was a $3.25 fee for the oil filter; one would assume that is a standard part of an oil change and covered by the regular costs. Then to top it all off, NO pun intended, they topped off the washer fluid for an additional $1.60. read more

I have used Woodmoor Conoco (now Sinclair) for several years and was always happy with the professionalism and great service offered by Cody. He kept me informed and was always fair. Alas, he has not been there for the last several months and the business has gone to crap. The "mechanics" don't care, and it shows in everything they do. They have poor diagnosis ability, work slowly, and they charged me for the average time that they claimed a job takes, even when they didn't spend that amount of time to do the work! Considering my long history with them, I thought that I'd give them one more chance before going somewhere else but they didn't even bother to pick up the phone after 15 rings at 9:45am on a Wednesday. I try to avoid terrible reviews, but I agree a lot with the Tim K. reviewer. I brought my 97 plow truck in to change the oil, the transmission fluid and the transfer case fluid. They had all been done relatively recently, but it was a plow truck and I liked to take good care of it because I don't want it failing on the job. I came back an hour and a half later. Oil. Check! Transmission fluid. Check! Serpentine Belt...Check. Wait? What? The shop owner explained that he saw some cracks in it and decided to replace it, for over $100.00 in additional charges. I was familiar with it's condition, it maaaybe was getting ready to be replaced. Doesn't matter though. You don't throw on a $100.00+ up-charge service that isn't asked for. They had my phone number and could have called, but chose not to. When I started to protest, He gave me a 20% off my next service coupon. That pulled them from 1 star, but I have never used the 20% off. When your trust is broken, it's broken. The only explanation I can offer is, when I explained that I liked to take care of the truck, he took that as liberty to fix whatever he saw fit to fix. Still not ok. Last but not least... I get the best service at the Woodmoor Conoco. Cody does a great job and I can always trust my car in their care. The price is always affordable and I don't have to worry about upselling. When my car did need a part they installed it a fair cost. I highly recommend them. read more

First of all I had just got done driving from Cortez Colorado to Denver, I needed gas for my car and to use the restroom, I did notice that the sign said that only paying customers could use the bathroom, so I put 20$ in my tank and then went into the little store to find the bathroom, the less then interested in her job clerk enjoyed watching me walk around looking for the restroom, I asked her where it was and she said that she had just givin the key to another customer, I didn't have a problem waiting in line for the restroom, but I did have a problem with the clerk enjoying me walking around looking for the bathroom obviously enjoying that I need her help. Get someone in there that likes her job and gives good customer service, retire the others. read more

Absolute pros in this garage, no doubt. I have no idea how Cody and his staff do as much as they do as well as they do given the small space and insane schedule, but these cats know their stuff and can do what you need for less than some others in the area. We're sold on them and definitely going to go here for future auto repair needs. read more

We have been extremely pleased with all of the auto services by Cody. We have had 6 cars and trucks worked on and serviced many times in 3 1/2 years. We have a Nissan Maxima with 338,000 miles on it, Cody keeps it running smooth. Cody is our 'go to man'! read more

Disgruntled from a total lack of service at Wal-Mart and Jiffy Lube I went there for a simple oil change. They were friendly, polite, and efficient. They had me in and out faster than Jiffy Lube could check me in and I spent my time waiting at the coffee shop in the adjacent shopping center that they gave me a coupon for. The place looks like a simple auto shop instead of the sterile operating environment of Jiffy Lube, but I got my oil changed for less than $20 and got a good lunch in an efficient manner. Took both cars in for the $14.95 oil change and they charged us $1.60 per car for windshield washer fluid when my husband just filled them up a few days prior. Also, they "test drove" my car to attempt to hear a noise we were hearing and drove my car 10 miles to "hear the noise". NOT happy, will never go back. read more

Okay, yes, the price of gas is higher, but that is where the bad news ends. I brought my truck in for a oil change and maintenance check.... my tires had uneven wear so I assumed it was another expensive alignment fix. They called me and explained it was low tire pressure!! They were honest and done on time. No extras that I was used to.... " you need new belts, you need new hoses, your transfer axel fluid flush, etc. they are HONEST..... Not pretty, not fancy, no free coffee in a great waiting room...... they fix what needs to be fixed and do it on time. I will go no where else.... They won this AAA member over in spades! read more

I finally got a hold of the owner of the Conoco. and I discussed with him the problems I was having that are listed in this complaint. He told me that he would have his mechanic, Cody call me to resolve the problems and reimburse me for work that wasn't needed I had paid for. He never called and the owner never return the call that he said would happen. I wouldn't trust these guys to replace a lightbulb much less anything more involved. read more

We called Cody to help replace a door handle on our Suburban. He told us to come up and he would take a look at it. He actually finished the installation my husband had started in a few minutes and would not accept payment for his time. We have been taking our vehicles to them for over a year for repairs here and there and every time we have been very pleased. We trust them and feel as if we have a go to mechanic and garage for our repair needs. Cody and his team are awesome! read more
