I have seen kids line up thru the door outside so many in the last, finally got a chance to visit Conrad's at Westwood. The booth and bar style look of the shop seems straight out of a movie seen. Alongside ice creams, they have so many other chocolate, candy and sweet confectionery products. We got a cup of soft chocolate ice cream with gummy bears. Delicious home made ice cream! We visited for the first time on a Saturday night and were very pleased with the selection and overall flavor. Prices were reasonable also. The majority of operating hours are a walk up ice cream window, with the chocolate shop being open inside until 5:00PM. The ice cream was delicious. The Folk Song mule (peanut butter ice cream with graham crackers and chocolate chips) was amazing. The Sea turtle and Coffee were also very good. They have mini cones for kids, which was the perfect size. They also have Gluten Free cones, which is a huge plus. The only thing I would suggest is it would be nice if there were tables/benches outside to sit an enjoy the ice cream, especially on a hot summer evening. (This could be a town issue since there are zero benches along the main street.) read more

Cute chocolate shop. Been around since the 1920's. They had a ton of Easter chocolates and candies to choose from. Expensive, but I heard the chocolate is delicious- bought things as gifts so I'm sure the recipients will enjoy! The place is narrow and being that it was the Friday before a holiday, it was crowded- I could have spent over an hour just looking around, but didn't have the time. I can't speak for their treats or chocolate, but I can speak for their ice cream. The prices are decent! 2 ice creams for $11 is a steal compared to other ice cream spot prices. My husband had the Butter Pecan Sandy and the Salt Turtle flavors, I tried both and they were delicious. Quite possibly the best butter pecan ice cream I've ever had. I tried the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip and the Mint Chocolate Chip flavors. Both were great! The staff is kind and the line moves along rather quickly. Working in customer service myself, I know that while on the job it's important to stay professional even if your friends come to visit you. Me and another guy had to wait around 10-15 minutes for our ice cream and we were the only people there waiting for ice cream so their wasn't a whole bunch of orders clogging up the kitchen. 3 ice cream orders shouldn't be taking that long. My family and I have been devotees of Conrad's since the 1980's when I was a little girl. There was nothing better than getting something to eat and a dish of ice cream after seeing a movie at the theater around the corner. My brother's favorite was always their Orange Freeze. Every Easter Basket was filled with delicious treats from Conrad's. Even after my family moved out of the area in 2000, every year, I'd continue to purchase goodies from Conrad's for my parents for Easter and Christmas. My mom so looks forward to their chocolate covered cherries! Conrad's is nostalgia for our family at its finest. Amazing customer service and the quality cannot be beat! We arrived around 9pm on Friday and found a line outside the counter door. Unfortunately this meant that we couldn't sample the flavors before picking and there was really no place to sit, but it made for a fast moving line. They ran out of the lumpy gorilla so I must go back to try that. I had the fold song mule, which was delicious though I didn't find and Graham cracker pieces. Our friends 1.5 year old had his first kiddie cone which was the perfect tiny size. And most importantly sprinkles are always free! It's such a cute spot and is set up like an old-timey ice cream parlor. At first when I heard loud music in the street I thought it was the neighbors but when I looked out and saw it was the Conrad's truck we couldn't run fast enough! Those are some catchy toons! I got the coconut popsicle which had the perfect amount of sweetness. My favorite part was the shreds of coconut at the bottom of the popsicle.
