We enjoyed the saffron kulfi (almond, pistachio, cardamom) and cookies and cream (blue tinted which didn't seem necessary). The server gave us a nice big scoop for $5.99. In addition to ice cream cakes, they sell signature sundae type things that you can customize and likely friendly to the camera but not to your wallet. I was really hoping to get my favorite, Bailey's Cream, but they were sold out. That's one thing to keep in mind: while they have a ton of flavors, they aren't always all available. Someone in our group got a milkshake and absolutely loved it, while another ordered the Cappuccino Oreo and enjoyed it as well. Portion sizes: A single scoop (their small) is surprisingly large. The lot gets hectic, especially when they're busy, and better signage would definitely help. We've found it's often easier to park on a nearby side street and walk over. Even when the line is long, the staff does a great job keeping things moving. One employee usually takes care of an entire group from start to finish, which helps keep the ordering process efficient. Everyone we've interacted with has always been friendly and helpful. Even with the cash-only policy, limited seating, and hectic parking, Van Dyk's is still one of our family's favorite summer traditions. I've driven by countless times and never noticed it. There's street parking right up front and a small lot in the back. The interior looks exactly how you'd expect a dessert spot to look like - bright, colorful, and vibrant. It's very spacious with plenty of seating. There's booths, benches, stools, and tables - great for small and large parties. I was impressed by how clean everything was. The frozen yogurt is completely self-serve. You choose between a cup, waffle bowl, or cone. They have 6 machines with 18 different flavors. They have a mix of classic, fruity, and decadent flavors. You fill your cup with as much as you want and then you head over to the toppings bar to add in your favorite fruits, candies, chocolates, syrups, etc. Prices are by weight - a little over $0.80 per ounce. The employee was friendly and helpful when I asked for samples. I filled my cup with the California Tart (sour&tangy), Strawberry Sensation (tastes like real strawberries), Dreamy Chocolate (very rich), and Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel (salty&sweet) flavors. Then I sprinkled on some mochi bites and cookie dough. My total was ~$9. One spoonful and I was in love! All of the flavors were true to their names and tasted exactly how they're supposed to. They were super rich and nothing tasted artificial or overly sweet. The texture was PERFECT - creamy, smooth, dense, and similar to soft serve ice cream. It's hard to find froyo that isn't watery, icy, or artificial tasting. I'm super happy that I stumbled upon Yo-Delight. It's a bit expensive compared to other businesses, but I'm happy to pay for better quality. I received a punch card - on the 10th purchase you get $10 off. In addition to froyo, they also have other desserts like ice cream, acai bowls, sundaes, crepes, shakes, and dippin dots. Best believe I'll be coming here to satisfy my sweet tooth!
