We were attempting to request a simple refund for my father-in-law who has difficulty hearing. I assumed he misunderstood something when he came home with more lumber and no refund. I returned to the Porter location where the manager was very helpful in attempting to explain and reach out to the Jensen location for approval for the refund. She came back with the same answer so I attempted to call and explain that my father-in-law never received the material and the material was not even available during the 15 refund window they were holding him to. Christopher was immediately snarky and spoke to me like a child, he told me to stop crying just because I wasn't getting what I wanted and to get over it because they can do what they want. He said he reports to himself and has no boss when I told him he was being unprofessional and I wanted to speak to someone else. If this is what Martin stands for as far as customer service, I hope people see them for what they are and make their purchases elsewhere.

Tracking someone down takes time and unfortunately when I do get a hold of an employee, they are clueless as so where anything is located or if it even exists. That's frustrating but it's not the end of the world. Update!! So it's been a couple years since I started going to this Lowe's and in the beginning it was obviously not my favorite given my first review, but I am happy to say that this has all changed. I am now greeted by employees much more than before, they are also easier to find and they are eager to help. Shout out to Jimmy from the hardware department for going above and beyond to help me with my ping pong table project. Jimmy even helped me pick out the perfect paint color and he also loaded everything up in my truck. Jimmy needs some recognition for his excellent customer service and willingness to help. A while ago I friend of mine told me that Ace Hardware sharpened knives for free. I finally got…read morearound to dropping off my knives the end of last week. I was helped first by woman and then she turned me over to a young man who actually sharpens the knives. Since there were so many knives I asked if I could just leave them and pick them up later. No problem. The young man took my phone number and I left. He called a day later to say they were ready. I went today to pick up my knives and they charged me $6.99 per knife! Almost $70! NO ONE at the store or in the phone message EVER mentioned a charge, and there was no documentation given to me when I left the knives. Just a friendly "I'll call you when they're ready". When I talked with the manager about it today, he did say that the $6.99 is written on the machine. I never saw it. He offered me a $5.00 off coupon. Really???Part of good customer service is tell your customer when there is a service charge like this. A receipt for my knives with the cost shown also would have let me know before they were sharpened, and I could have said no. Bad move, Ace Hardware.

It appears the issue was not properly repaired the first time and may have only been temporarily treated instead of fully fixed. This resulted in wasted time and money. Because of this experience, I do not recommend ACE Hardware in Atascocita for lawnmower or equipment repairs. While purchasing supplies may be fine, the repair service did not meet my expectations.

We would prefer stopping here since it's so close with convenient parking. However rarely have I seen service vary so much at one establishment. If you get one of younger folks they're not very helpfully or knowledgeable. In fact they make you feel like your presence is a distraction. However if you get one of older folks they know what products they have, where to find them in store and if necessary takes you to the spot. Since you don't know who you going to get we normally bypass the place unless we're pushed for time or know exactly what we're looking for and where it's located.
