My favorite place to be, seriously. Like a kid in a candy store, I have been known to wander the isles for hours when given the free time. I am a DIYer and was raised that way, so projects are endless and it's totally ok with me. This location however has been a bit disappointing in that its really difficult to find good help. Tracking someone down takes time and unfortunately when I do get a hold of an employee, they are clueless as so where anything is located or if it even exists. That's frustrating but it's not the end of the world. Update!! So it's been a couple years since I started going to this Lowe's and in the beginning it was obviously not my favorite given my first review, but I am happy to say that this has all changed. I am now greeted by employees much more than before, they are also easier to find and they are eager to help. Shout out to Jimmy from the hardware department for going above and beyond to help me with my ping pong table project. Jimmy even helped me pick out the perfect paint color and he also loaded everything up in my truck. Jimmy needs some recognition for his excellent customer service and willingness to help. I have preferred Lowe's for years. I just became aware they have FLOCK AUTOMATIC LICENSE PLATE READERS installed at the entrances to their parking lot. They just lost a loyal customer. I'm totally in favor of private companies and individuals having private surveillance cameras, but these are NOT private! They upload our whereabouts to a cloud, and FLOCK sells our data to the highest bidder. I guess Lowe's is ok with helping with the dissolution of our privacy. read more

Today is January 20, 26 It's 1104 Texas time the Kingwood store on 59 whoever's working customer service today. She's very ignorant and she keeps putting me just on hold. She left me on hold for over 40 minutes and I asked for tool rental and she won't put me through the tool rental she just puts me on hold. She'll pick up the phone. She'll say hello and then she don't say nothing for a long time she's playing games. They need to give her a stern talk to in service on how to treat people I don't even wanna go back to the store now I'll go to Home Depot. read more

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The customer service at this Lowe's location is terrible. I placed an order at a different Lowe's, but the items had to be fulfilled by this store. Not only did they send me the wrong items, but they went ahead and delivered them anyway--and refused to take them back. Instead, they told me I had to move everything out to the street for pickup, even though it was their mistake. I spoke with the store manager, Brian Mosqurea, who promised multiple times that he would call me back. He never did. I had to chase him down with three separate calls, and in the end, he clearly didn't want to deal with the problem anymore and just passed me off to the corporate office. Corporate told me they'd follow up within 24 hours. That was three days ago--and still nothing. If you care at all about reliable service or being treated with respect as a customer, do yourself a favor and avoid Lowe's altogether. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I don't feel that I can say anything different from what most Lowe's reviews are already saying. So I will leave you with a letter I wrote this morning to the customer service department for installations/delivery at Lowe's. I have not received a reply yet. See letter below: I called a plumber and paid to have my stove installed today. It's pretty sad that Lowe's hasn't really changed at all. Still the same ole "pass the buck" mentality. No one called or came by today to install my stove. Credit my account the installation fee you charged me. If you don't respond,I will email my way to the person at Lowe's that actually cares about the client. I will find that person. In the meantime, I will be going on social media raking you over the coals as much as possible. It never fails; your ignorance in not empathizing with the customer cost you dearly. I'm sure it will take you a while to respond. We are used to it. It's sad because Lowe's misses the mark when it comes to customer service almost every time. Products are great but Lowe's management has an arrogance issue and always has. When one of the installers called their manager with a question I had ; the installer (Steve) asked if he could talk with me. He had his manager on speaker. The manager said,"I don't talk to clients." I heard him say it and so did the installer. Installer (Steve) just hung his head. Like I said,"Lowe's management is out of touch with their clients." I'm doing two stars because I've always had a good experience here, at least till Jul 20th 2025. I completed shopping and went to self checkout. It's busy but the woman seemed to be keeping things running quickly. Come to find out that if you have any slight issues that require her assistance she instantly has a problem with you. In my specific situation I'm trying to scan my military ID for my discount and it gives me an error, so I grab her attention. Literally before I can even explain she tells me "should've just scanned your drivers license like I told you" with this nasty tone and walks away. If she actually gave a d*mn and wanted to be actually useful. She would've learned I currently don't have a DL because I just got a new one and the paper copy doesn't have a barcode. Maybe if the woman running self checkout in the White shirt at 1:15pm yesterday in kingwood can't handle managing that section with even a fake smile, she should be positioned elsewhere. read more

My friend and I came in here and saw a great deal for the Dewalt Tools. When we asked for help to get the product, the associate told us that it was the wrong label and that they would honor the price because it wasn't marked correctly. He let a different associate know the situation and she grabbed the product from the shelves that they were locked at. She then brought the product to the cashier area and let that cashier know. A different cashier was available to help us so she grabbed the product from the other cashier and then started ringing us up at the counter. She was a little confused about the situation so we cleared up what we could. She said she needed an override for the price change and called over someone who could do it. The lady who was supposed to override it (Erica, pretty sure the assistant store manager) said that the tag wasn't even for the correct product and would only give us ten percent off. We didn't even get the chance to explain to her the situation. Her body language and tone was extremely irritable and negative so we asked if there was a store manager or anyone else we could speak to and she said no. My local Kingwood Texas Lowes sucks twice this week. I tried to order stuff online for pickup, now each time I went to the store making a list of what I needed and put eyes on each item. Each time I got home I did measurements and confirmed list and tried to order each time over 3 days I was told items were out of stock. Each time I went in and bought it was all there. next time I tried to use a coupon I was emailed, and it would not work I was told I needed to register as a veteran to use it. so I went to local store again and the said order it here for pickup and we will use the coupon so while she was typing it in she said one item was not available so she could not include it so my wife went back to the display and got the item and she still did not add it. Then I took the order for everything else, mind you I already had verified myself the stuff was on shelves. 34 hours later it was still pending then after I sat with a hired hand to help me load it showed delayed this cost me money this store sucks. read more

Had to ask if someone could help us lift the $$$ lawnmower we just purchased up into our truck because my husband had neck surgery recently. Someone was called to meet us but never came. Salesperson in lawn mower aisle chatted the whole time with another customer. Just shooting the breeze. Ridiculous! An incoming customer happily helped us, his "one good deed for the day". We were in lumber department when Izzy without being prompted ask if we needed any help loading our drywall. Then came out with us to help us load it into our truck!! Do not order appliances from this location. They tell you your item is in when it isn't. They will lose your info so when you call, they show it delivered when it hasn't been. You have to constantly call. Ordered dishwasher in March and finally went in and cancelled my order. Poor poor management. Save yourself the hassle and go find an appliance store that has stock. read more

I stand there for several minutes then I see an employee on the phone at Customer Service just to my left. I go over and she waves me off like " Wait a minute." So I stand there for a few minutes. I just visited Lowes Kingwood. I had 2 items to pick up. There was a lady at return desk, one in garden, none on checkout, and a couple of people with aprons wandering around. I got my two items, about $100 in value, and went to self check which I hate . I checked one item. I could not find a barcode on next item, and asked how I would check this. I was told to go back and get an item with the barcode. I looked at her, put the stuff back in the cart and pushed it aside and left. As we haves new ACE hardware, I will go there. Today January 2, 2024 I went into Lowe's to get a couple of items the time was 8:53 and I went to check out at the lumber department and the manager Julianna was a at the cash register and i noticed that the light to her register was still on and when I said I was ready to checkout she rudely told me her drawer was closed that I needed to go to the self checkout. I tried to explain that the self checkout was not working and she again told me in a rude and ugly voice well I don't know what to tell you you have to go back over there because I'm closed. So I said ok well never mind I'll just go ahead and leave and as I was fixing to walk out the doors in the lumber side I noticed they were not opening and I ask her if she could open the door and her response to me was no I don't have the keys and I was parked under the canopy and I said pls can you open it so I don't have to walk all the way around since my back was hurting and she again answered with a rude and ugly voice I said no. I just think that they have poor customer service. I spend nearly 100,000 dollars every week there but I will be taking my business to home Depot from now on at least the know how to talk and how to treat their customer. read more

My first thought as my husband and I walked into Lowe's at around 11am on Saturday was how empty the store was. I'm used to home improvement stores being wall-to-wall carts as people in their "work clothes" of old jeans and baseball caps pack into the store looking for everything from mulch to bathroom tiles. This Lowe's had a few people milling about, but nothing like I'm used to seeing on Saturdays. I didn't mind the lack of people, it let me see how clean and organized this location was. Every aisle's items were pulled forward, evenly stacked and front facing, which if you've ever worked retail (like I have) you know is a constant battle to maintain. The floors were swept immaculately, I saw not even a speck of dust as we walked past the lumber aisle. We needed spackle, door stops and a tube for our new ice maker. We're familiar with home improvement stores and knew where the items should be... and all three things were sitting right in the proper places. I've been on some loathsome needle in a haystack hunts in home improvement stores- no such drama at this Lowe's today. We were in and out in under 20 minutes. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is we didn't ask any employee for help, so I can't judge their knowledgeability. If I get great help from employees at this location in the future, I will certainly go in and give them that 5th star. Bottom line: cleanest, most organized (and emptiest) Lowe's I've ever been in. read more

Lowes in Kingwood has gone downhill and is very poorly managed. They have dozens of employees just standing around yet no one at the checkouts. The last four times I have gone, there have been no normal checkout lanes open, and only two self-checkout lanes available. Lowes is Kroger. Its customers buy large and heavy items that have no apparent code and cannot be scanned on the electric eye easily. The normal checkouts that are never open have a "scan gun" but the self checkouts require lifting the item onto the scanning glass. The last trip tonight was my final one. After having no one help and then having to lift multiple 50-pound bags of lawn mixture onto the scanner, the scanner broke and one of my bags opened up. Worse yet, the nearby Lowes worker did not offer to help, but instead griped that I will have to move the 8-50 pound bags into my cart and then go to a checkout that she finally was going to open. I had enough and replied that I would just go to Home Depot, and she then attacked me verbally. I called the store manager after I left and he refused to do anything other than say they had hired 50 new employees. I pointed out that they are either nonexistent, lazy, incompetent, or just mean. Save yourself grief. Never shop from this store or even kid yourself to think you can avoid their complete operational and management dysfunction by placing on online order for store pickup. As I write this I am in a 15 person deep line at customer service/pick up counter and even though I verified they picked my order for pick up today, nobody in the store I can find the merchandise. The store is an absolute train wreck and needs to shut down until they can figure out how to run a retail operation. They have great merchandise, hence the one star. Lowe's is proud to advertise that you can return plants for a full refund as long as you do so within one year of purchase. I buy all my plants at Lowe's for this reason. This year, I lost every plant I bought from them. My return was refused because the customer service representative said I didn't have enough information. She said she needs the sticker off the pot, not just the receipt and the planting card that is in the potting soil. She further told me that I should take my dead plants back to the Lowe's where I bought them - in a not-so courteous tone. I was disappointed and a little frustrated since I spend a lot of money at Lowe's. Maybe I'll think twice about supporting Lowe's in the future. read more

We purchased windows for our home in January. Through many delays, our widows are still not installed and it's the end of May. Our main concern was the lack of communication. They never called to tell us of any of the delays. One of the days in April, I called, and I was told to be at my house ready for the windows to be delivered, when they never arrived, I called the next day to see if they were delivered to the wrong address, they then informed me that information was bad, and they actually didn't even have my windows. Gave me another month delay. When they were supposed to be delivered the next time, I called, they said again, they didn't have my windows and would need several more weeks because one window was still not there. They did have the others though, so I asked they install the ones they did have. They agreed. When again the windows didn't come, I called and asked why, and they said, well the other window is coming at the end of the week so we are just going to wait on that one. I shouldn't have agreed to this, but I did, and that window did not come in. I don't have an estimated date, and I don't have windows. (which they have taken payments for). I have 3 neighbors that went with local people and they all have had their windows for months. If I don't get mine this week, I'm cancelling the order. I don't mind delays but the complete lack of communication, never calling me once to tell me any delays, is just poor costumer service, and shows they don't care. read more

Horrible delivery and customer service. Bought a washer and it was supposed to be delivered the following day. When it was delivered, the washer was damaged and we sent it back. They said they couldn't have another washer delivered until the day after. When I called on the morning they were supposed to deliver, I was then told that the reorder had been made too late on the original delivery and it will be pushed back another day. No apologies for the inconveniences. Their time windows are ridiculous, as if they think people don't work and nothing better to do than wait around for a 5 hour time window and then the delivery is damaged due to apathetic delivery drivers. read more

I'm very disappointed in Lowe's. I went to the Spring I-45 location to purchase a new riding mower. The store had an extremely limited selection and did not have the mower I wanted. I then drove to the Humble/Kingwood location on 59. They had the mower I wanted and I purchased it. I got it home and was about to unload it when I noticed a patch of dry grass laying under it. I raised the grass discharge and could see it had been used. I called the store and explained what was going on and they found another in stock. I drove back and went to customer service and explained what was going on. She asked me if there was gas in it I said yes. I explained to her there was gas in it when I bought it. She again said she couldn't take it back with gas in it. She called the manager and he said they would take it back. I waited about an hour and finally got a new mower. What a pain. read more
