I have had the same problems with Conservice as all of the other Yelpers are complaining about. They had my account as having 5 people living in household in which they charge $3 per person for garbage. We only had 3 on the lease so idk how they came up with 5. Also my first few bills were over double from our former utility billers - YES Management. After calling a complaining, the bill went down but still 40-60 percent higher than YES. I have not even paid my first bill with this company so far but already can tell how poor their service is. My apartment complex switched utility company a couple of months ago, i used to be charged $65 per month but after receiving a first bill a few days ago (for February!!!) i saw that the bill became $20 higher, i don't think that water, sewer or trash rate raised in price that fast. Additionally, i don't see any proper work in our apartment, whenever i see our garbage containers they are full, whenever i look at our lawn it is not mowed, we have to wait around 5 minutes before water become warm enough to use and more other things. Unfortunately, i was not told that i'm gonna pay more for the utilities, i would have found a different place to stay. I think this company just sucking money from people especially after reading all these reviews and i couldn't agree more. I can't believe that after all these bad feedbacks this company does not take any responsibility!!! They are just scamming people. I just found out via the Office at my apartment complex that Conservice has overcharged me $6.00 a month for ten months. This was found indirectly while they were checking on another charge for me. If they hadn't have found this, how long would it have gone on? How many others are being overcharged and don't even notice? This service is a huge scam. With the city of Miami water i used to pay around $70 every 3 months now this service is charging over $50 EVERY MONTH. It's running up the rent cost extremely high and our water usage is not that big. I don't understand why they charge such unreasonable rates, tripling the cost of what it should actually be. I waited on the phone an hour and 25 minutes before someone answered! That was my only complaint! Everything else was just fine!

Always ask what utilities are covered before even looking at the place. Also ask how billing is done. If they say "Conservice" at all, do NOT rent there! This company keeps getting worse. 1) All bills are "estimated bills" for the first month or two. You can be overcharged which results in an abnormally low "correction" bill later. You can also be undercharged and hit with a high bill later. You are not warned about this by your rental office. 2) Once established, all bills are for two months before this one. You pay in March for January's water. If you were gone for weeks then hit with a super high bill, that is why. 3) When you do move out you get to pay two months at the same time. This is them playing catchup from the delayed billing. The monthly service fee is charged only once on the final bill. Move out, account closure and other fees are actually tacked on by the place you are renting from. 4) If something goes wrong they still can't help you. They can only go over bills and utility usage with you. Conservice has a contract with your leasing office, not you. You have to beg your leasing office to fix your bill. Most offices won't budge. They went to Conservice to save themselves money, not you! 5) You have to pay this fluctuating bill from the 1st to the 5th. If you like to budget (everyone should) then Conservice will be your bane. The bill fluctuates wildly, typically rising at random. It totally ignores the actual local rates and uses their own. They can't give you any heads up on your actual bill. You never know if you have enough put aside as the actual Bill arrives on the 1st. It's added stress and annoyance plus an extra trip to the bank on short notice. The electric company, gas company, cable company, both my phone carriers and even my insurance don't put me through as much of a headache as Conservice does. This company deserves negative stars for being the worst utility service I have ever dealt with. read more

This is the worst utility company ever. I do not know why my complex, "The Jamison" signed up for it. I live in a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. My bill is all over the place. I received a bill from conservice after living here since November 17 of 2017 my first bill was $66 then somehow as of this month it jumped to $112 I don't understand why I'm getting charged so much when I called up there they told me something about me paying for the whole unit complex instead of just my unit. so instead of charging me for the two people living inside my home I'm being charged for a hundred rooms which is pretty much absurd so if you don't use the same amount of water as everyone else you still have to pay this high bill. i want to get rid of them they told me the bill fluctuates i dont have kids i live in a one bedroom apartment so when summer comes around ill will be paying double that amount To the responder. So again I live in a one bd on bath apartment. I move in on November 17 i work 11.5 hours a day. My boyfriend has 2 jobs as well. So your service occupies our home more than we do. Even my smud bill is only 55 dollars since we moved in 55 being its highest. Sound like im still being told im paying for the apartments usage instead of just what i use. Hence explains why there are no rate usages that come with the bill like you would have with pg&e and smud. Also a service fee to pay a bill online unless i place a credit card down which will allow you to take money out my account. ( but my bill jumped from 66 dollars to 112 and got the same excuse when i called your scam company about this bill.. Conservice The Utility Experts - Utilities Near Me - River Heights, Utah

On March 3, I contacted my the leasing office for my apartment for an explanation of my utility bill. My bill had two entries for "Heat for 01/01/18-02/01/18." While my apartment complex does not have a good record at responding promptly to complaints or following up, one of the leasing managers actually did follow up with me immediately and did contact the Conservice representative the following business day. The leasing manager sent me the following: "I spoke with Conservice. From what I was told this is the first time you are receiving a heat bill. You should have been receiving them 3 months ago. When they realize the mistake they billed you for the months on this bill. So this month they are charging you what you should have been charged for the last 3 months." While I can certainly understand that mistakes happen, I think that it is incredibly poor form for Conservice not to have contacted affected residents and the apartment management/leasing office to explain their billing error and how they planned to correct it. Additionally, if they did not plan to provide an explanation to residents as to how the error occurred, they could have at least billed it appropriately so that it didn't appear as if residents were being charged multiple times for the same period; a review of previous months bills, there are entries for heat, however, the amounts are nominal. Don't worry David, I've already sent a complaint to service@conservice.com. I did not receive a response back...I would assume it was because there was little that could be said by way of explaining what happened. Overall, this was done very badly. read more

Absolute worst company ever. I live in a one bed one bath apt by myself and pay almost half of what my dad pays in a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house with 3 people. When u call u get the usual well this is what the meter says so this is what we bill u bs. They r no help and no one cares what u pay as long as you're paying it. I'm a college student who goes home some weekends so tell me why my bill is more expensive the months I go home more than the ones when I stay at my apt. When I do leave for a weekend I unplug everything and turn it all off. I cant get an answer from anyone and everyone I talk to gives me the same answer saying that I need to talk to my maintenance people and there might be a problem with my ac or something. (I don't have central ac and it's a unit that gets plugged in when I want to use it and it hasn't been plugged in since the end of summer so it's not that) I asked multiple times if someone could come out to look at it and they continuously said no. The way my apt is built is it's a townhome split in half so essentially I'm in the basement of the townhouse. I think the people upstairs and I are connected and they're billing us the same amount bc there are 3/4 people above me and that would make sense for 3/4 people to pay not a single person on their own. This company should read some of their own reviews because it seems that everyone is saying the same thing and they need to change. I have been trying to get Conservice to set up a date and time to come out and resolve an issue that I have been having since I moved into this apartment. I have been trying to get them to just get a technician out here for almost 4 weeks now. I am currently being charged for thousands of gallons of water that I am simply not using. I have reached out multiple times to them via email, instant message, and over the phone and no one can give me an update on anything. They just tell me that they don't know anything. The front office at my apartment complex has also tried to reach out to them to get a technician set up and they too have had the same response, or lack there of. They are just putting us off and making it extremely obvious that they could not care less about their customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It took 45 days for Conservice and Avana apartment leasing management to notify me the gas utility was showing up vacant for my lease apartment unit which the move-in/lease date was actually June 9. I received the notification on August 1st. And yes they charged me $60+ for utility gas vacant service. I am still working with both parties and Texas Gas Service to resolve the issue. I have been receiving bills from Conservice for a little over two years now. My bill appears to be consistent month-to-month and I have always been given ample time to pay the bill. But here's what bothers me the most: 1. The utilitiesinfo website (as of the time of this review) looks like it was designed in the late 90's. Your website is bad and you should feel bad. 2. Get rid of the 'convenience fee' for electronic fund transfers. I think yours is the only company I have used this decade that charges fees for bank EFT's. 3. The bill never rips cleanly along the perforated edge because it's too close to the bottom 1/3 of the folded paper. Yeah, this is minor but it really bothers me and I waste time trying to get a clean rip to return to you so you don't think I'm a slopfest. Do not rent from a property management company that bills through Conservice. You'll end up paying inflated prices with both property management and Conservice pointing the finger at one another. I moved from a property, in the same city, similar size, that does not bill through them -$60 MAX (during cold months). The property I live in now, my first bill was $120 then it rose to $160 and now it's currently sitting at $200. Neither one of them can explain why it would be so high so I'm pretty much stuck with this ridiculous bill until my lease is up. PRO-TIP: Add "do you bill water/sewer through Conservice?" We are being charged vacant electric fees for service periods that we had connected with NV Energy...I am paying $300 over than expected not to mention they have 2 different charges on 2 different bills for the same service periods only one is titled current vacant charges & the other as current utility charges....make it make sense!!! It's bad enough that we pay an arm & leg for water, trash, & sewage THAT IS SPLIT AMONGST TENANTS but on top of that, to have such a mistake happen on a bill is just downright ROBBERY. I don't use a lot of electricity. Unfortunately they average in all the empty homes in the neighborhood. I run my heat at 67 in the winter and 78 in the summer. I still owe a lot of money every month because my allowance is usually between 28 and 40 dollars. So I always cover the extra $40 to $120 I despise conservice. And the $3 fee just to pay my bill? Go fuck yourselves. And I understand that I can mail in a payment for no extra charge but it is easier for everybody to pay online. But I guess that is why they are called con service. UPDATE: So after reading other reviews I see that the overall rating is 1 star. Conservice responded to my review saying that they will look into my bill. Well the problem is they factor in all the empty houses that dont use any electricity. But to Conservice that is perfectly fair. I live on a military installation so everybody here has an allotment for housing. Housing takes 100% of that allotment, in return we are not supposed to have any utility bills. Well thanks to conservice, we have to dip into our already low base pay. And I saw in another review of a man saying that they need to drop the 3 dollar convenience fee. That bill, astronomical to a laughable degree, I've just found out, is "estimated" for the utilities. However, my rent is tied to the utility bill. So, every month, I literally have no idea what my 'rent' payment will be. I have to wait to be surprised by whatever criminal nonsense CONservice decides to bill me. I've lived in 7 states as an adult, and I've rented apartments since I was 18. NEVER in my entire life, have I been forced to deal with this kind of 'service.' If you can't tell customers exactly what they're being billed for, then you, by law, should not be in business. They send you the bill right before it's due so they can charge a $10 late fee and they will roll a $10 fee on any remaining payments until you are fully paid for what they ASK you for.
