I came in with all the paperwork complete to register 2 unpowered boats, and was charged a $90 service/messenger fee per boat despite having filled out all the forms myself, and the 2nd transaction taking only 30 seconds to complete since the info was already in the system. I recently moved into Pennsylvania and have been having issues executing an out-of-state registration transfer. I was not getting the information I needed over the phone, from PennDOT or my auto loan company, so I decided to drive to Conshohocken Auto Tags today for assistance. I had the pleasure of speaking with Maureen, who was extremely patient and allowed me to call my auto loan company while I was at the counter. I did use this auto tag place to do my transfer of titles and tags. I'm very disappointed about the services they provide. 1 they don't do electronic file when you do the transfer of titles and tags 2 they use " personal courier " so the process will take weeks before you get anything. I ask the lady whos there courier who did that service so I can track the mail they can't answer me and they won't tell me. BEWARE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS TAG PLACE IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY TO GET YOUR TITLE AND TAG TRANSFER IT WILL TAKE YOU MONTHS. give you'r self a favor go somewhere where they do it electronically so you can get you title and tags in one week tops. Went there to exchange a title for a 1998 Honda Civic that I was giving to a friend after purchasing a 2008 Honda CRV. I had two titles with me and they used the Honda CRV title instead of the Civic. When we found out the mistake they told us they don't even check the make and model of the car on the title they are exchanging and that we would have to pay for the titles to be exchanged again, on both cars even though they made the mistake! I had bought my car out of state in college and when i came back home I needed to get the license plate and registration switched to PA. Conshy auto tags has everything on their website listed out that you need to bring so there is no confusion. I showed up with everything on the list and was out of there within ten minutes; so painless! The lady at the counter was more than friendly. I was immediately provided with my new PA license plate, registration and was sent on my way. I have used Conshohocken Auto Tags a few times in the last few years and each & every time the service & knowledge of the girls is really spectacular. My first experience was a simple case of forgetfulness & replacing my licensee renewal form. I popped in to see what I needed to do & in zero time flat the proprietor Maureen and a wonderful employee Dana helped me out and fixed my problem. Not only that but Dana recognized my last name and here she used to take care of my father 's insurance for years at another auto tags. That to me was so cool that she was so involved with her customers she recalled names like that and also spoke volumes about the level of knowledge she must have from working so many years in the business! That alone made me want to go back anytime!!!!! Another time I went in after I bought a used car almost spur of the moment. Again, in no time flat I was told what I needed and and everything was taken care of in an instant! Kim helped me out that time and she was really such a pleasure to deal with. I have no idea when it comes to PennDot & Auto stuff so the fact I never feel silly asking a question & I know I can pop right in if something comes up is really not only a convenience but also a huge relief! They can not provide drivers license photo ids at this location despite what the dmv site says. They can only provide you with a temporary id without a photo, and help you fill out the paperwork to get a real id. Not worth your time or money. read more

Astonishing ignorance of DOT requirements for registering out of state vehicles. For some reason, the rep decided to ask me to prove I paid sales tax on my extended warranty, even though PA does not require that proof. She tried to charge me sales tax I already paid to another state, that I do not owe to PA, and the state of PA doesn't want. I even printed out the PENN DOT and PA DOR regs for her to try to teach this person how to do her job. Her response, "my boss won't let me." What a ridiculous waste of my time. read more
