I consigned several thousand $$$$$$$ worth of Lux, at this store, the owner Ellen knew me, I was in fact a customer of hers, I had gone through a horrible divorce and she was aware. I trusteed her with very fine things, and she was not honest, She refused to provide a listing of what sold and for how much it sold for, for months! I had two push very hard for this, her record keeping is a nightmare, you see she had me over the barrel so to speak, as I moved to Paris, Fr, one of the items I consigned was a Dolce and Gabana black lace dress I purchased at Richards, When, I finally sent my son to pick up what she said "did not sell," included was a dress, she had let someone barrow it and they washed it, it was a mess ruined, A $3,500.00 dress. Sunglasses are returned with out the original boxes, shoes with out dust bags, She is dishonest and before I consigned anything to this store, Id just give it to your girlfriends, before Id give it to a stranger, She is not to be trusted, one of the worst, experiences I have ever had. Being involved in fashion my entire life has really taken me to some of the most amazing places on this earth. Consigned Designs is one of them. With all the top designers at your fingertips for prices I, at first did not believe were real. I purchased a gorgeous Celine Medium Trapeze brand new, never used for about half the price of retail about a year ago. I still carry it till this day. The clothing is amazing and priced correctly. It doesn't even feel like your shopping consignment. The environment gives off a lovely boutique feel. The clothing all comes from pet-free, smoke-free homes and everything is in-season. For anyone looking for an even better deal than what is continuously offered, head upstairs for the 50% room where you can head home with brands like, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, Guy Laroche, Lanvin and many more. I met Tom at least 5 years ago on metro north and he couldn't speak more highly about his wife or her store, 'Consigned Designs'. Before he even knew I worked in the beauty and fashion industry, he encouraged me to visit the shop on Mason Street which has since expanded. As you can imagine, I didn't walk out empty-handed. I bought a teal Isabella Fiore purse that is still my work bag every fall season. Each spring or so, I go through my closet hoping to find items I can consign (hello, designer bridesmaid dresses never to be worn again) and Ellen is always there with a smile ready to graciously accept or not accept (but still gracious) my designer misfits. This store is so amazing. I truly do not have to buy luxury retail anymore because I find the most beautiful pieces here for half the price! Not only do they offer luxury goods but they also have contemporary pieces for amazing prices. This is the best consignment store I have ever come across. This is not your average consignment store. It is a luxury resale boutique with all of the best designer brands you can think of. From Chanel and Hermes to Louis Vuitton and Prada, its all here for your taking, and for prices you cannot beat anywhere. I purchased a Balenciaga bag that looked like-new for 1/3 of its retail cost, I was amazed. The owner Ellen was magnificent and more than willing to help with anything I needed.
