Ok , so I am going to give you my honest review about the consignment corner at 74 Route 101A in NH . I think this is a beautiful consignment shop. It's neat it's tidy it's very well organized and the prices are absolutely wonderful. With that being said , unfortunately and this is a very, very big unfortunately , the people whether it's the owners, workers or whoever ( I see the same people all the time so I'm assuming it's maybe like a family business of some sort ) , they are extremely miserable and it just makes for such an unpleasant experience when you go into a store and the items are lovely and in wonderful condition where it seems like the person that makes the decision about what furniture to take really makes an effort to make sure it's just in great shape good condition and such , that they would make you feel welcome when you come in and say hi how are you or smile At least ? I'm not expecting someone to jump over-the-counter to shake my hand, but I feel like when I go there they're looking at me like I wish you were not here and it's it's awful . so if the workers or owners / owner of this shop that are reading this review from , please try and change your attitude try and be a little welcoming to your customers. It's so important and I'm sure you will get all five star reviews. I am a furniture, refinisher and painter. I do all kinds of different distressing and decoupage on furniture and more and I have a beautiful dining room touch that I just read painted and just made so beautiful and I really was thinking of bringing it to the owner and having her sell it for me, but I just do not want to deal with those people. The woman in charge, was extremely dismissive and didn't have the common curtesy to thank us for bringing furniture to them even though it wasn't what they were looking for. Went the other day and they had a Coca Cola bucket there for $8.54 and we saw that it still had its tag on it for Walmart for $7.82! This is suppose to be a consignment shop not an antique and or collectible shop which they should change the name to. Corner antiques and collectibles not consignment as their prices are astronomical and they clearly don't care about duping people. Better off selling your own things yourself online or in a yard sale if you can. Wouldn't bring things here either to resell to them seeing how dishonest they are! Workers are rude here as well. We put things on the counter to hold while we walked around and they tore off the price tags before we could pay for them. Very disappointed. A lot of trash that even Goodwill wouldn't price more than a quarter. A lot of the items not consignment but purchased by them to up sell. Disappointing! Even saw a small trash can for a dollar. Consignment Corner should be embarrassed with themselves. To top all this there is one staff member that is extremely rude. After spending almost $1000 at their business over the last few months, they refused to let me use the bathroom at 39 weeks pregnant when I was having contractions. The owner was absolutely inhumane and lacked any compassion whatsoever. I will NEVER shop here again when there are still plenty of second hand stores and kind people left at other locations nearby. I've loved this place since they were in Vinyl Square in N. Chelmsford. I've been to the new place a couple of times, it is huge. Today husband took me to look at a coffee table I had seen in this post. The table was in their showroom upstairs. I was using my rollator and asked if there was another way up. The clerk said, "You can't use the stairs?" Seriously? They had to bring the table down the stairs for us to look at. We did buy it and while they were helping get it into the truck, I asked if there was an alternate way to get upstairs. She said "no" period. I can't believe they carry all that stuff up and down those stairs. It was also difficult to navigate the first floor with the rollator, a wheelchair would be impossible. As much as I love this place, they are not handicapped accessible. It's a shame. read more

I took several items to them for consignment including a Michael Kors handbag, 2 fossil small wristlets and a couple of watches, one that was a pretty expensive Bulova. I was told at the time that they are on display for 90 days at which time we need to pick up any unsold items. I put the date on my calendar and called to request they put my unsold items aside for me to pick up on the upcoming Wed. There was no answer so I left a message on their answering machine. When I got to the Consignment Corner, I inquired about my items I saw on display with new tags. They returned 2 items to me, but the wristlets and the Bulova watch was nowhere to be found. They told me my items had expired and they were likely donated. I told them I had called to put my items aside for later and nobody answered. I left a message. They said they never answer the phone. Nice Huh? I was extremely upset as I paid a lot of money for the watch and since they re-tagged the other items, I can only assume they sold the other items and kept the money. Nobody would donate a Bulova watch. They told me I had no money coming on account. I left there very angry. I have purchased many, many items from them in the past and have consigned many items to them with no problems. I will never purchase or consign from them again. They have lost my business forever and I will tell everyone I know to Never Ever do business with these people. When they first opened, they were very pleasant and nice. Let me start by saying that I was a long time resident of Chelmsford and shopped frequently at this establishment. So, when I was moving I had told some friends that I was considering selling some things to the owner and the responses I got were horror stories about her. Well of course I wanted to find out for myself and I took a truck full of mixed antique and new furniture for her to look at. The new furniture alone had cost me over $1200. She had the audacity to offer me $30 dollars that's right folks $30 dollars. I would have burned it in her driveway before accepting that. Very upset with my visit here. Was about to buy some furniture with my mother. We asked if somebody could help lift it into our van.. the woman said we might need to help them as well. My mother has a physical disorder where she is unable to lift, which she told the woman. The worker then looked at me and said, "oh can she help? Oh never mind she is pregnant." I AM NOT PREGNANT. I was so upset and didn't even receive an apology from her. My mother and I walked right out and needless to say, did not continue through with the sale. NEVER should you assume someone is pregnant. We have been buying furniture and several other things from this place for many years. We cannot complain about anything. They always helped my husband to put all the furniture in his truck. I have returned a non working appliance to them and got my money back which is unusual in consignment stores. I recommend this place if you are looking for diversity and unexpected pieces of furniture. This place is a hidden gem in the 'burbs. They have two buildings full of consignment furniture, and the prices are unbeatable. It's like someone hit up every yard sale, haggled the price down, brought it all to one spot, and made it available to you. But the bonus is that you don't need to get out a wad of cash - you can use plastic! I shop here from time to time, sometimes when I am looking for something specific, other times when I have some time to kill. Several years ago when I was planning my daughter's wedding reception which took place at home, I was shopping for many vintage type vases for table decor, and places like this shop and other consignment stores really made it possible for me to purchase 20 plus gorgeous vases for reasonable prices. Never ever shop or consign here! Gigi is so rude. I once purchased a piece of furniture and had to bring back a truck to pick it up. She called me that morning to say it was going to rain so she put it outside! WTF?? Another time she offered me $40 for a four pc Victorian painted bedroom set!! WTF? and the last time she was holding a piece of furniture for me. I called her to say I was on my way on RTE 495 to pick it up. When I arrived she casually said , "Oh, I just sold that" WTF?? This store is not a consignment The owner here picks up all free items on Craigslist and yard sales and sells them for expensive prices at store She also illegally posts items on Craigslist as a owner not as a business because she would then have to pay a fee I would never purchase a thing here ! On the plus side, they do have a eclectic mix of items and have found some good deals and interesting items there. However, the downside (and it's a big one) is the rudeness of the folks working there -- particularly the owner. At the time they opened, I was eager to check them out but the store hours did not jive well with my work schedule at the time. I decided one day after picking up my twins from preschool to stop by. I wasn't even out of my car and out came the owner literally screaming at me that kids were not allowed in her store. Literally.Screaming. My children were terrified. As I started to leave, an older man came out of one of the buildings, tried to offer an apology and told me that she was "nuts". I didn't need to be told that. My kids are now teenagers and are, apparently, allowed in the store without the owner having a meltdown and now just laugh it off. I returned a few years later (without kids) with a friend who collects vintage pyrex. The store was very quiet and we were clearly being followed by one of the employees who (more than once) interjected her opinion of pyrex pieces into our private conversation. They had a few pieces my friend was interested in buying but they were either buried amongst other stuff or difficult to reach. When we asked for assistance, we were told that one of the pieces was "too hard to get down" and that another "was already sold". As we waited to buy the only piece we were apparently allowed to buy, we overheard them say that while eavesdropping on our conversation they learned that they could charge more for both of those pieces and now wouldn't sell them to us. Um..wow. So, the moral of the story is -- don't show up with small children who you would prefer not to be scarred for life and keep your mouth shut. It's nothing that would make me not want to shop there again but horrible customer service clearly runs rampant here. read more

Stopped in over the weekend and can only concur with others who found them rude and obnoxious. Just barely stepped out of the car when a woman exclaimed "Oh no you can't take coffee into any of the shops"..... Maybe she should have led with a "good morning folks...". Went inside and everywhere we tried to look they needed us to move.... okay on to another building..... same drill... can I help you... yes can you get my coffee.... well she said one day someone dropped a hot chocolate on an antique table.... okay, well a "hot chocolate" must have been a 7 year old. I said we weren't seven and everywhere I go with coffee I bring my wallet... no coffee... no wallet. On to the final shop.... we looked around and it was clear that the consignees here took time to arrange and create better spaces. Oddly one of the guys who was carrying and moving furniture earlier was following us.... ya we couldn't beleive it either.... two mid fifties professionally employed folks and one a Marine.... real danger. Liked a light and asked the guy we saw moving furniture 10 minutes earlier how much it was.... he replied he didn't work there. Ohhh we said, ooookkkk.... he then wanted to know what made us think he worked there.... to which my wife replied "what a very strange reply"..... an he wanted to argue how he didn't work there... so odd. Went into the main shop as the older blond woman with bad hair was not in there as earlier..... well the "stalker showed up again, following us into the rooms.... so I decided to turn the tables and started to follow him which after three rooms he decided he was uneasy.... hahaha... what a joke this whole "business is. We used to have our own consignment shop and these people could author a book on how NOT to run a consignment shop... and how to get mostly one time customers. Stay away. read more

I needed a floor lamp and the Facebook page had a few in the pictures. Didn't have any I was too excited about but they did have a good selection of reasonably priced vintage furniture. It is consignment so some pricing is a little higher than what I would pay for the items but with 3 buildings it is worth a trip. I cannot say how it is to shop in their store but I can give an idea on how it is to deal with them on the other side of the consignment business. GiGi was brought in to clear out my mother's home when she passed away this spring. We were forewarned to expect a few low offers and then an offer to clean out the rest "at a moderate fee" which would be donated to charity (we were warned that in fact all would be taken and sold). When we were then offered modest offers on only a few things we declined the "Cleaning service" at which time offers were made on almost the entire contents of the cottage. The price wasn't the best but the family decided to accept. On the scheduled day of pickup we were treated rudely by GiGi and her employees over and over. Family members who were there to remove remaining things from the house were barked at repeatedly and one claimed was told to put down items she claimed she bought (but were not on the list of items she had purchased). In the end we found several things that had not been purchased to be missing and a few family heirlooms that we decided to keep were found to be damaged. read more

Today we were driving by this place and I spotted a dresser. We pull in to the parking lot and all the doors were open on the furniture building, so we assumed they were open. Well, we get out of car and a woman working there says "NOT OPEN" It was 10:40 and apparently they open at 11!!! Cannot believe they would turn people away with only 20 min til open time! Crazy, I guess they make enough $$ that they didn't need a sale! I Guess I will go elsewhere! Spoke in person with the owner, She agreed to give a consignment value to an A+ condition antique kitchen set consisting of 4 chairs, Table, and serving table. When the driver delivered the set as she was well aware I couldn't be there in person. she said she couldn't sell it the chairs were too small, No one would want it. Gave the driver $30.00 . at 4pm on Thursday. They close at 5pm. I called her Friday morning when they opened . Explained that she was supposed to take them on consignment. stated I would bring her $30.00 and pick up my furniture. She said it was already sold and she bought it legally. Do not trust this woman or consignment corner . She is clearly a liar and a thief. You may be buying furniture she ripped off some one for. She has been given multiple opportunities to make this right. read more

I've been a customer and consigner of Consignment Corner for many years now, know Gigi quite well and can honestly say I am quite shocked at some of these reviews. Gigi is always pleasant. I have had many conversations with her and her staff and I have never heard any negative racial comments or profanities. I have never been rushed through any building and have enjoyed long periods of time in which to explore and scrutinize potential purchases. I wouldn't think to bring beverages of any kind into someone's establishment. Vendors who rent space spend considerable amounts of time setting up and keeping their areas neat and presentable. They have and deserve an expectation of security and care. The store opens at 11:00. Can you go to any Mall or department store and be allowed in before the opening time? Surely not, so why would anyone expect to be allowed to interfere with any establishments' stocking, cleaning and set up time? That would be mighty presumptuous folks! I have always gotten exactly what I paid for. This is a consignment shop folks! I have been able to purchase furnishings for my large historic home here as well as some Waterford crystal and Lenox china. I have found that frequent visits yield great finds. If I happen to run into any rude stalkers who don't work there I certainly won't blame the owners. Rude, obnoxious, insulting people are out there everywhere. Sometimes it's best to simply ignore them. I always refer Consignment Corner to people asking about the "great finds" in my home. read more

What a place! The store has stores inside of stores! They have 3 buildings. I purchased so much stuff from them to fill up my newly built home in Westford. The prices are so affordable and the owner is so helpful. I always find something since the inventory is always changing.
