I called multiple times for updates and was either given no useful information or told they couldn't help. At one point, the call simply ended without any resolution. When you're stuck on the side of the road, you expect the service you're paying for to show up. That didn't happen here. If you're considering AAA for reliability or peace of mind, I would strongly reconsider. My experience was the opposite.

Within the 1st week, we had a tragedy in our family with the loss of my sister's son back home. Our immediate departure from Europe required AAA's help to rebook our flights. Once back in the states and all family services done, I reached out to our travel agent Tobi G. at this location to resolve the travel costs that will not have been incurred due to not staying the extra 2-weeks. NOT ONE RESPONSE! Multiple phone calls and emails without ONE response. I even left her messages to make sure she was OK. I called this branch to talk to a supervisor about this. No response. We had insurance for this trip. What I recently discovered is that if you go past a certain number of days you can not dispute or file a claim. Well, we filed a claim within that time frame, but without a response, for multiple weeks, the deadline came and went. I am told now there is nothing more to do. VERY frustrating. Will never use AAA for travel again, will not recommend them, nor will I ever do a package deal in the future. Gia

(Or not, in my case-they were auto claims) With Allstate, you call their national customer claim service line, which is top notch, but you aren't alone with this agent. He's conferenced with the claims area to ensure our claim is handled well. Follow up with calls and emails to ensure we are happy! Once he'd even called me back while he was out of the country. This is service! My latest experience, and the one that compelled this review is equally stellar. A change to Michigan Law required verification of my health coverage. I called Bruce, he conferenced the customer service rep and stayed on the line while we called my health insurance provider for the verification. The call, with hold time, took 8 minutes, and the rep was surprised to hear Bruce still on the line at the end of the call. (This is how I know that I have a solid agent. This doesn't seem to be the norm.) If you want personal service and a national company with great local support (the local body shop Allstate uses is amazing as well) you can't go wrong with Somerset Agency. In good hands, indeed!

After the 30-minute wait I was informed since the first it was the first time there that I had to exchange cash for cash. Luckily there was a Chase Bank next door and I was able to get cash quickly but otherwise this would have been a greater hassle. Also there was another customer that came in way after me and they served them first seemed to not have seen me in the corner waiting.
