Don't come here!!!!! You're wasting your time. The freezers and coolers are constantly broken, and the staff are morons who can't figure out the answer to simple questions. The prices are ghastly high even for a convenience store! I've been to 7-11s in Chicago with better prices (no lie). Their prepared foods are terrible. They may as well just heat frozen boxed food from the freezer section, it would taste so much better. The "buffet" lets food sit in the wells for hours. I'm shocked that the health department didn't shut them down. This is just a crap place all around. Too bad too. It's a great location for a market. A small neighborhood market on West 9th close to Public Square and the Justice Center. They have a wide assortment of prepared foods like sandwiches and salads. They also make pizza, slices and pies available. The shelves are well stocked and cover basic grocery needs. Their $5 egg salad croissant is my favorite to-go item. The only good thing about this market is its convenient if you live in the area. They have it setup nice however it just doesn't feel clean inside. It smells like booty and cigarettes throughout the whole store. The fresh produce isn't fresh, you think because it's a local market they would have some local venders giving fresh produce. The hot food isn't anything to run home about. Definitely wouldn't be my first choice for lunch but again, it's convenient! The prices are crazy, you would think they would give price cuts to residents in the area. We have to go grocery shopping somewhere right, no!! One can of soup is about $6. The people who work here are always nice and friendly. Never had an issue with them. In all, this is a pretty terrible market that needs to do better. A pretty cool place to find some food and groceries. Constantino's Market is one of the best independent markets. It has so much variety for a smaller place. Many things are made local. There's classic Italian favorites and some newer styled things. Constantino's is a great place for getting a fast lunch. It has a deli counter where you can get premade items like sandwiches and soups. There's also a pizza counter where you can order slices or wholes. A bad thing about this is that things are usually expensive. This is a locally owned market. Sometimes the selection is poor because they only gave so much room for stuff and they're out of some items. The good thing is that items are fresh and better than what you get in a typical grocery store. It seems like a good place for lunch. Items are often limited and cost more so it's not good to do regular grocery shopping. This is good to find some authentic Italian items and to eat on the patio after purchasing some freshly made stuff. read more

BEWARE Shifty woman behind the counter -- she shortchanged me. I went in today to buy a couple slices of pizza and a cookie, total bill didn't exceed $8. Paid with ApplePay and the woman didn't offer me a receipt...I thought this was a bit off, but I let it go. After I'd arrived home I saw on my phone that she'd charged me $22.50, far more than the $8 she'd stated. Thankfully I live close by so I walked back and talked to the manager, who issued me a refund. I told them to look into her as she probably does this a lot, but it didn't seem like they were all that concerned. Caveat Emptor; do not trust the personnel here. read more

I LOVE this market. I've been here many times now in my 2.5 months working downtown and living in Cleveland. I love this place because of several reasons: 1 - LOCATION: Convenient location because it is in downtown Cleveland. If you work downtown then stop by for lunch or an early dinner after work. SEATING is available inside and outside. I will say that the tables and chairs are sometimes messy (food crumbs) when I arrive for lunch because other people don't clean up after themselves and the staff probably waits until lunch is over before they clean up so that i just one downside. Nothing too horrible though. 2 - FOOD CHOICES: Great selection of food to eat including a grocery store where you can find common staple items. There is hot foods bar, prepared and packaged foods section, a salad bar, snacks, and sweets. Fresh and healthy too...YUM. I've only had one lunch here that wasn's so great. I believe it was beef, which I never eat. 3 - PRICE: For my current budget, the price is average although buying lunch or dinner here can get expensive. There are 3 different sized plastic containers you grab to plate your food. After spending almost $9 twice on lunch, I started grabbing the small and medium sized containers for lunch and I spend between $3.50-$4.50 for lunch. I snack (apples, nuts, etc) throughout the day at work so I don't need a heavy lunch. Mostly, I try to pack my lunch to work but coming here for food is a great alternative. For groceries, I've only bought peanut butter and I think bread (?) from here and the prices seemed higher than usual so I personally would not shop here but given that this is downtown, no real complaints. 4 - REWARD POINTS: You should sign up for their rewards program. Anytime you buy a item here, you rack up points. Once you get a certain number of points, you get a free item (sorry, I can't remember the speficis). So eventually, you will be saving money. My co-worker comes here all the time so she uses my Constantinos card when she buts lunch which helps me rack up more points faster. 5 - PARKING: There is no parking lot. This is a downtown gem. This little market has a small selection of groceries and such. They also have bakery items and my favorite, the hot food selection. Wednesday's are very popular are they are "wing Wednesday's." There's normally 3-4 different flavors of wings. I've tried the lemon pepper, barbecue, and hot flavors and would recommend all three! The fish on Friday's is another reason people run here to grab lunch. I could go on and on... the white lightening chicken chili or maybe just grab some sushi. This is a nice clean small grocery store that offers many wonderful options of food and bakery/cheese shop items. The downfall is you are paying for the small downtown location, and limited main-stream food options you would find at a large grocery chain. I love the location and high quality items, but when I need to stock up on groceries I make a trip out of the downtown area to larger grocery stores. The hot food service has fallen off big time. I usually eat here 2-3 times a month with Weds being my favorite due to flavored wings. Today the flavor was not flavoring on any of the wings. It was almost like watered down sauces. Then they had collard greens with bacon and onions and the greens were as crunchy as they were coming out the garden. Ok folks that live in the Flats- JUST GO HERE! They really do have everything- from breakfast foods, bagels, a fresh and delicious salad bar, prepared sandwiches, a hot food bar, LOTS of wines, a cooler room full of beers, desserts, ice cream and all the stuff you need to live including coffee, juices and locally sourced art items. We stayed at the Aloft and walked up the street at least three times a day to buy snacks, drinks and even a hangover cure. Cleveland is sooo lucky to have a quality grocery store in the midst of this part of Downtown Cleveland. Constantino's has an amazing wine and cheese selection. It's the ideal place to go to put together a fabulous spread. I love finding wines from when I lived in Europe... in fact; their wines are probably the biggest section of the store! They also have a lovely bakery, including beautifully done cakes, cannoli and other small pastries. The produce can be a little expensive compared to other stores in the area, but hey, that's literally the price you pay for being the sole grocery store in the Warehouse District. I could never live downtown in a city. I love the convenience of the burbs. With that said, my office is downtown and right around the corner from the little gem known as Constantino's. They have a lot of prepared foods like pizza, sushi, chicken, soup and a big salad bar, so it's super convenient to grab a quick lunch when Subway has gotten boring. It also has a large wine and bakery section. And while I wouldn't want to have to do all my regular grocery shopping there, it does have some of those specialty products like Fusilli col buco, which I saw Rachael Ray use on 30 minute meals once and she forgot to mention it's impossible to find. This great upscale market is in the process of expanding, adding more prepared food options and greater selection. I work in the area and tend to grab lunch from there a few times a week. They have just changed how the hot prepared food is sold from being sold as a meal to self-serve by the pound. Their quality seems to have survived the change (though some of the entrees seem to have been miniaturized). The place is a great resource for the downtown worker, who has tired of the standard food court fare and doesn't have time for a long lunch. As a side note, they sell these Route 11 Dill Pickle potato chips that must be laced with crack. I have not seen them anywhere else and I have been know to make a mid-afternoon run to grab a bag. read more

Living in one of the apartment buildings right near Constantino's, I'm a regular not necessarily because I want to be, but I have to be. There's no other grocery or convenience store nearby. That said, it is overpriced because it has an on-demand market literally right above and around it and next to no competition. I'll go there for staples when I don't have time to go elsewhere, or for a meal from their prepared foods. Decent selection, but not comprehensive of course. Love love love the vegan carrot cake (and I'm not vegan). And chicken wings. Employees are always very friendly. read more

There aren't many grocery stores in downtown Cleveland so this is a nice one to have. It is connected to the Bingham Apartments so if you live there it is SUPER convenient. I really love their prepared food. It is all delicious. If you have the chance grab a breakfast sandwich from there. Their bakery is also really good. Downside is the actual dry foods/grocery items are very overpriced. I would not go here for my weekly grocery shopping. This is more the place you go for prepared foods or for a quick item that you need and do not want to get in a car to go and get it. There isn't a parking lot. There is street parking or a small lot that is shared with the Bingham that you can park in. Much easier to just walk to. Have a decent beer/wine selection as well. read more

Constantinos is walking-distance-close from the convention center and is a relatively clean and open deli/mini grocery store. they have a lot of outdoor and indoor seating if you want to enjoy some of their pastries, coffee/teas, fresh food (including make-your-own-pizza spot at the back, hot italian food, salad bar, sushi). their grocery area is basic but sufficient - everything from pasta and beers/wine to some easy-to-eat fruits and veggies. I'm pretty much a fan of two things when it comes to grocery shopping. 1) Local produce, meats, cheeses, etc. 2) Reasonable prices. Nothing makes me happier than knowing I supported a local business in Cleveland. You're making an investment in your community and your city's future. On the other hand, I'm definitely in a great mood when I can walk away from a market or store and know that I didn't make a huge dent in my bank account. So, Constantino's can be my 'deal'...sometimes, since it is a local business. But most of the time, I'd rather pass. I feel like most of the success of this grocery store comes from the convenient location and lack of competition downtown. Don't get me wrong, I like upscale markets and I understand the purpose that they serve. I'd just rather spend 75% less and get a lot more at the West Side Market, or drive out to a discount store. Maybe it's more that I don't need to confidence boost of people seeing me shopping at a store like Constantino's. Now, as a quick stop for pre-made foods for lunches and such, I retract my previous statements. They have delicious and fresh sandwiches, soups, sushi, salads and more. Plus, they just opened up their new expansion which includes a hot foods bar, fresh pizzas and a larger selection of produce. I think Constantino's is really on to something there, especially with the outdoor seating. Nothing is better on a hectic work day than sitting outside and enjoying an hour of sunshine and great food during lunch. I would never do my every day shopping here, but I loved going here for lunch when I worked downtown---mostly for the salad bar. They made sure to have all the toppings you want on your salad available, plus I really do think the price is reasonable, especially considering you are downtown. Not in the mood for a salad? The have sushi, you can have them make you a pizza, they have sandwiches and wraps, hot food....it's extremely hard to not be able to find something to eat here. If you live downtown, you should be used to these kinds of prices if you were going to do every day shopping. Not that you could really use this place solely for everything. There are some things I love about Constantino's and there are some things that I am not a big fan of at Constantino's. Whether it be for lunch or to do a quick grocery shop, I'm here a lot. Things I love: - The Salad bar. It's usually has very fresh veggies and a great variety of toppings/dressings. - The cheese/wine section. There's plenty of variety and low priced wines. - The amount of cash registers open. It gets busy during lunch time, but luckily they usually have 2-3 cash registers open, making it that much faster to check out. - The people who work here. They are all so helpful and nice! Things I'm not a huge fan of: - The prices. Obviously I realize this is a bit more upscale grocery store, so I really shouldn't complain about the prices, but the produce in general, in my opinion, is just way over priced (and not the best quality or variety). - The grocery store selections. I often find myself searching for a product for a long time, only to realize they don't even carry it. Other than that this place is solid. The best things about this place is it's location, wine and beer selection, breakfast sandwiches on the weekend, and access to random foods and stuff you will need. The bad is bad but you can stay away from it. The produce looks good when you're further away but when you get closer you see it's almost all old. Expect black spots, rubbery veggies, and more than just the occasional fruit fly. The meat is workable but you have to search around. It's not uncommon to find grey meat and I've even seen some green meat. I'm not exaggerating. The produce and meat is just poor quality and there's no way around that. Overall, I think it's a good place because it's convenient and they have a lot there. Just go to Westside market for meat and veggies. It's a little more expensive but it's well worth the convenience for the non-perishable foods. read more

Constantino's has a coffee shop and small market in the new Ernst & Young building. This is the second time that I have had rotten food from there. I ordered a small vegetable tray and the cucumbers were slimy with mold - starting to decompose. This is unacceptable. Another time, the salad I purchased had brown and mushy lettuce - again, starting to decomposition process. This is unacceptable and disgusting. The people that work there are nice and their breakfast sandwiches are okay... but don't get sandwiches, salads, or vegetables. Their soup is also mediocre. read more
