Darn good sandwiches at darn good prices! It's actually a convenient store, but you can also get hot food there. Heads up, it's an old building that's tiny inside, so not great for people in wheelchairs.

A perfect gem of a spot! Classic but updated neighborhood grocery ... We stopped in for sandwiches and sodas. The people who work there were SO friendly and welcoming! We had a prime rib sandwich with melted provolone and peppers, and the Italian BLT (pancetta, brie, arugula, tomato, & balsamic vinaigrette; pictured here, forgot to take pic before I started!). Absolutely delicious. Not huge but just the right size. When you're finished eating, there are all kinds of interesting groceries, produce, wines, pastries, locally sourced items, and more. Definitely will be back, worth heading up the side street off Little Italy's main drag. Don't miss it!

I was in the area and never been to Murray Market before so for dinner one night, I got the Italian Sub Deluxe ($12.95) after asking what their most popular meat sandwich was. It was ready in about five minutes and was a super yummy, authentically Italian sandwich with a generous amount of cheese and meats. I had forgotten that I don't like pancetta so I had to take those slices out, which is unfortunate because pancetta was like half of the meat. The best part was the bread the sandwich was in! I should have bought a bag of those to bring home. As for the store itself, it is old and worn and the prices of items are high. Some have price tags on them and others don't. You may be in for a surprise when you go to the checkout! This is a good place for locals to stop in and get an item or two. It's kind of like the quick stop shop or bodega of Little Italy.

Stopped in for lunch while getting familiar with Cleveland. This Italian market won't let you down! Delicious and made fresh the Italian way!

For me this place brings to the table something amazing also known as their eggplant Parm sandwich. I'm always very picky when it comes to red sauce, but this place delivers...the service is really fast and efficient even at the times They are really busy. I saw there is seating there, but I usually take, my food to go. I've tried a few things from there, but hands-down I always order the eggplant, Parm sandwich, and it never disappoints. They also carry a great selection of ice cream and ices.

Found out about this place from my Italian plumber who said this was the best Italian food in Little Italy- so i knew I HAD to try! Cute shop in Little Italy that doubles as a small grocery store + restaurant. Limited seating. They some a couple tables outside and I believe one table on the inside if you want to eat-in. They also have bottles of wine you can order when you eat inside. Murray Hill has a mix of cold and hot foods, but i've only tried the hot foods so far. The fresh salmon sandwich, the Eggplant parmigiana sandwich and the Italian Sub deluxe. Wow- I mean they were all so delicious and packed with flavor. Tasted homemade, too. Not over-processed like I feel some american-italian tends to be. think my favorite was the eggplant based on how cheesy it was, but close second was the italian sub.

One of my favorite community hole-in-the-wall places to stop for lunch. Murray Hill Market is a small grocery store x sandwich shop crossover. They have a good selection of sandwich options ranging from classic (chicken parm) to inventive (Asian Philly roast beef sandwich). There's something on the menu for everyone! The sandwiches are freshly made and affordable. Definitely recommend if you're in the Little Italy area and want something quick to grab for lunch.

Murray Hill Market is located on the corner of Paul Ave and Murray hill Market. There is free 15 minute street parking off of Paul Ave if you just want to pop in to pick up some delicious food items at the deli. My husband and I came by here on a Tuesday afternoon around 2:10 pm. We were greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter. We had just had lunch down the street and some at Mama Santa's and walked up here to check out this market. I thought it would be nice to pick up some sandwiches for some lunch tomorrow when we visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We ended up purchasing the following (and consuming the next day): Combo Salad, $10.95 prior to tax- This combo salad comes with your choice of 3 salads in the displace case. I decided to order this salad because I thought it was a good deal at the price point. For this salad combo, I ended up picking pasta salad, chimichurri chicken, cous cous salad. I had asked if the chimichurri was part of the combo salad choices and another employee told me it can be (lol). I had asked him if it was spicy. He told me it isn't but did ask if I wanted to try it. I am glad he let me try it because I really liked it and did not find it to be spicy. I have a low tolerance for spicy foods. Often times when others have told me they don't think something is spicy, I find it to be (lol). The portion of this salad combo was huge and perfect at sharing with my husband. I liked the pasta salad and also the cous cous salad. I also liked that the pasta salad did have green leafys in it, which was nice to round out the selection I picked. Would definitely order this combo set again. Turkey Breast Rotisserie Roasted Sandwich, $9.95 prior to tax- After my husband ordered this sandwich, one of the employees began slicing the turkey and then putting together the sandwich. It was quite tasty the next day but I was surprised how small it was. It is a good thing I ordered the combo salad so that we would both have enough to eat. But the turkey sandwich itself was tasty with the pepper jack cheese and the cranberry mayo. ---------------------------- (Total= $20.90 after tax) Service was very friendly. We felt so welcomed. This market also sells a limited section of gourmet items (sauces, cheeses, jams/ spreads, jarred olives, breads, etc). There is also some seating inside upstairs and also some seating outside as well. If I lived in this area, I would come back.

Good market in Little Italy. It feels like a classic deli and market. Murray Hill Market is located in the historic Italian neighborhood. Convenient for getting sandwiches or carryout. They have some indoor seating. A lot of items are packed into here. It basically is a deli with a market. The counter has freshly made salads and sandwiches. A lot are classic Italian flavors. There's a few newer kinds of styles. A good one is the hummus vegetable wrap, which had a lot stuffed into it. It has lots of hummus and vegetables like spinach and tomatoes among others. This is about $9 for a pretty good size, and comes with a side of chips or pretzels. If you're looking for some authentic items, you can find them here. Lots of classic herbs and spices. There's also great local choices of wines, and they have many frozen desserts like sorbets.

This is a small Italian grocery in the middle of Little Italy of Cleveland's Eastside. There were several home-cooked Italian dinners that were prepared and ready to be warmed up on demand plus a sandwich and salad bar with soups I enjoyed one of the chopped Italian salad which were very large in portion and freshly made to my order the prices are reasonable and the grocery has a little bit of everything in case you need a quick convenient pick up before dinner. The service was very friendly and several people behind the counter for a rush hours like a lunch which I was a little white four but still had a personal touch and people ready and willing to help go the extra mile for that Italian dressing or something special you want left out or included in your order

Amazing Italian sandwiches. We ordered Italian Deluxe, Classic Italian, Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, and Breakfast Sandwich--all super delicious. You can taste the freshness in ingredients and the perfect amount of crunchiness in their bread. The shop is SO CUTE with grocery items, deli, and wines to choose from. Few out door seatings out front and in the back. The back patio is accessed thru side of the market. Plenty of free hour & permit parking around. Murray Hill Market is an absolute gem in Little Italy!

Ask the Community - Murray Hill Market

The store comes up in search for Asian market? Is that accurate?

I would not consider this to be an Asian market but more of a small gourmet market that may sell a handful of Asian items

    Is the Market wheelchair accessible?

Chuck I can tell you the entrance door is sidewalk level but as I recall - the inside is close quarters. I would call the place.

Yeleseyevsky Deli is my favorite local Russian store. I have been visiting this store for years. I always highly recommend it! Layout/Assortment: The store recently moved to a new, updated location. It is well lit, spacious, tidy, and well organized. The store departments are similar to what you would expect at a grocery store. Dairy, seafood, baked goods, produce, frozen foods, canned goods, prepared foods, vitamins, souvenirs, and wine categories can be found here. This store has more expansive inventory than other similar stores in the area. Products originate from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, and other parts of the world. All products are clearly labeled with the original language and English ingredient lists which makes the shopping experience less intimidating for a newbie. Recommended buys: If you're Russian, you'll be pleasantly surprised and nostalgic about everything. Kvas bread drink in the fridges, Olivie salad in the deli, Alenka chocolate at checkout, Russian greeting cards for every occasion, and the list goes on. If you're looking to explore Russian and European cuisine, I recommend trying Doktorskaya bologna (slightly smokey and flavorful), Belochka chocolate waffle cake (bold chocolate flavor), Ivan Chai (firewood tea with campfire taste), and Siberian pelmeni (so tasty). Feeling more adventurous? Try Birchtree juice, caviar, vodka-filled chocolates, frozen seaberry, Siberian pinecone jam, and oak broom for your next banya (sauna) visit. Service: The service is friendly especially if you're a regular. The store employees are bilingual - Russian and English. The checkout process is very expeditious. Savings: The store offers - "buy more, save more." Your receipt will be stamped with a coupon at checkout when you meet certain purchase threshold. Don't forget to grab free Russian newspapers on the shelves next to the entrance! They contain information about local events and businesses. Parking: Large parking lot is available in the front and the back of the store. Parking is very convenient. This store is suitable for routine grocery shopping and exploring new global foods. It's also a great destination if you're looking for a gift - greeting cards and boxed chocolates available. Or if you're looking to host a tea party - plenty of tasty sweets. I highly recommend visiting this store!

The food had always been delicious until this last visit. Given we are regulars at the place, we know the quality of the food has been consistently fantastic and the wait for the food is typical - not too fast or slow - enough to prepare the meal given how busy the place has always been. This last time, however, it was a good 45 minutes before the order came to the table. Neither one of our meals was very good. I was very hypiglycemic by this point and so I ate the french toast that was completely uncooked inside. At first I wasn't thrilled that the bread was considerably smaller than it used to be until i bit into it to find cold wet mush. I should not have eaten it at all. My friend had ordered a patty melt - medium which should be light pink in the center. It was bloody red. She sent it back and about 20 min later it came back exavtly the same. She sent it back again. Another 20 minutes later it came back well done and with spices in the meat that made the meat taste lousy. So now she had a burger that wass over cooked and tasted bad. She didnt gat to eat because by that time we were done. I wish i had turned back the french toast. I kept hoping with every bite it might be cooked. Not one bite was cooked. Not even one. Being hypoglycemic I felt like I would lose my cool if I didnt eat something so I ate. It turns out the place had been bought and the new owner really didnt care. We got to talk to the brother of the new owner who only said that the place has been very busy and that should speak to the quality. He couldnt care less about our experience. All I have to say is that they are going to be losing a lot of money having to replace meals and once people find out about the sudden drop in quality of the food, those peeople that have been filling the place will not be returning as we wont be either. We refuse to go somewhere that the owners could care less about their patrons.

Very disappointing for more than $7.50 a bowl I can't even say it's disappointing it just was bad. And served luke warm. We got the reuben sandwich to split with potato salad. Toasted bread fairly good portion for $18.95 a sandwich. But the corn beef was a bit chewy. The corn beef should be tender it was not in the middle. I wanted to like it but it was just meh. Potato salad was served in the little side Dixie cup thing. I gotta say I hate that. Potato salad was more like mashed potato salad. Again not a lot of flavor or ingredients. Service was good. The employees were the same, menu is paired down. They do still have the pickles. Which is good! But the taste and overall food was not the same. Too bad. It was a great little deli. I did hear someone was buying it from the restaurant conglomerate and I hope that's true. We need the old Jacks Deli back! Or at least better than what we have now.
