Try to avoid working with these people! I would never go to them for anything ever again. I…read morewouldn't have even worked with them in the first place, if they weren't the only broker for the building we wanted to move into. Totally unprofessional and unsophisticated people. We signed a lease for an apartment, and agreed to pay an additional fee to get the keys 1 day early. The move in date we needed was stated in the paperwork that was signed. Come time to move in, they gave us the run around for 2 days, and kept saying we'd get the keys. When we had all of our possessions packed into a uhaul, then they tell multiple excuses as to why they can't get us our keys. None of those excuses sounded plausible or made any sense. What really was the deal is they somehow forgot we wanted the keys one day early and then tried to scramble to get them and failed miserably. They could have told us the night before or that morning that it was not going to work out, and we would not have gone through all of that trouble to pack up our stuff. We had moved out of our apartment and had no where to go. They didn't care! Oh well! We incurred hundreds of dollars of added costs as well as taking off another day of work to move in later. They admitted at the time they messed up and knew about our added costs. When we submitted our fair breakdown and receipts for the added costs, we didn't hear back again. I called and was basically told that they have no control over when the apartment is ready and that's it. Which is BS. We're just out of luck. You do have control over whether you pick up the phone and tell us, though! Moving is a difficult and expensive time that you try to plan out correctly and they act like they don't know anything about how this works. These people seem very shady and unintelligent. We should have known when a tenant approached us on a walk through and said 'good luck!' They did so much wrong I can't even fit it here. Do not work with Nadine Watt and don't deal with a Fleetwood Realty. Zero stars for you. And clean up your nasty office that is covered in dog hair and smells terrible! Get your act together

On August 29, 2016 I entered into a purchase agreement through Fleetwood Realty for a coop apt. In Mt. Vernon, NY. Ms. Rosalie Rose appeared to work hand in hand with a board member, conspiring together to insuring that my application would be rejected by the Board without cause. I did not feel that the agency represented my interests with professionalism, or the curtesy or respect for privacy that should be afforded every client. Rosalie engagement with a board member foster a negative outcome, based on revelation of their private conversation. This is clearly an ethics violation. THE WORST PART OF THIS SITUATION, ROSALIE WAS NOT MY REALTOR! This was not get deal. Yes I made a complaint to the state ! I did make a complaint to her aunt/owner of Fleetwood Linda Rose. Please people be careful know all the rules to real estate before doing business with an office. Even if you are renting . This office is know for scamming people on rental deals too. They lead people on with low credit scores give them false hope. Have them pay the application fees knowing fully well that they are not qualify . Them show the apt to a qualified person closed the deal and dismissed the person with low credit score. Just imagine you are walking into an office for help as a first time buyer or trying to rent an apartment and get scammed! DISHONEST, FRAUD & DOWN RIGHT UNPROFESSIONAL!L

Although my situation wouldn't be the case with everyone; this story is just proof of Walter's and his team's professionalism, perseverance, experience, and wonderful attitude... My uncle had retired early due to health reasons and moved back to his home country. Before he moved, he gave me Power of Attorney and left me in charge of the sale of his property. We had anticipated - although we were doing a 'Short Sale' - that the closing would take place within 90 days as we already had a buyer. Man, were we wrong. Personal Note: Banks can be evil. But I digress... As it was, the Banks involved threw a wrench in our program. Not only did they reject the buyer's offers - which were all within the home's valuation - but they repeatedly demanded the same paperwork over and over again. Paperwork, mind you, that Walter had submitted multiple times again and again - even though we knew we had just submitted them weeks earlier. To make matters worse, the Banks dragged the process on for more than a year! I had come to think the banks were purposely trying to sabotage the sale. By the way, did I mention Banks can be evil? Anyway, this is where Walter's experience and professionalism really shined. My uncle and I had become greatly discouraged... thinking the sale would never happen; but Walter reassured us that all would turn out fine. But having Walter's negotiating skills on our side proved to be our greatest asset when a series of mishaps happened to the house. One of them was that it flooded when a pipe burst because of the cold. When I saw the damage, I was convinced there was no way the buyer would close on the sale. Again, Walter rose to the occasion and wouldn't let the sale fall through by continuing to persistently negotiate on our behalf. In the end, this story indeed has a happy ending. The banks acquiesced, the deal finally closed; and everyone was happy. My uncle, most of all, was very relieved. There were many times the whole thing could have gone straight to heck - but it didn't - thanks to Walter. I'm confident that if Walter could sell my uncle's house - even after everything we went through - then he most certainly can sell yours. ~ J. Garces (on behalf of A. Fani), 'The' Bronx, New York

Walter was on my Facebook feed and I saw him do a video on HDFC Coops. I read a lot of his posts and there was something genuine about how he spoke and posted. I reached out to him on Facebook and quickly was ready to help me. Walter came to look at my apartment, which I felt was in great condition and in my opinion someone could easily fall in love with it. When I met Walter in person I knew that I wanted to work with him. He helped me through the whole process and less than a year I sold my place! I appreciated Walter because there where moments when I felt anxious and my emotions would come out. Yet he always responded and clarified things. I definitely 100 precent would recommend Walter to anyone trying to sell their place. He was so professional and took care of everything needed to get my place ready to sell and up on Zillow. I am truly grateful, because never did I think I would sell an HDFC in less than a year! Thank you Walter!

Fast forward to an entirely different reality in 2021 and my dream home is for sale. This February my partner asked me to go out on a limb with him and use a broker he had a "good feeling" about when the home became available. This less than competent new agent (let's call him Grover) was the equivalent of a black cat crossing in front of your car. Not one or three things were botched by Grover, but each and every aspect was tainted. For example, the closing was "shockingly" much later than expected. I texted Grover to alert him that the power was scheduled to be shut off prior to the walkthrough. Crickets about this from Grover once again. Apparently, this is Real Estate 101 to never turn off the power prior to closing. I almost lost $2,500 for Grover's mistake. I'm a teacher, not a broker, but never had a real broker in this 2021 transaction. Jeff always said to reach out whenever and honestly meant it. I was very respectful of his personal time. However, a text was returned in no more than two hours. Grover had a few texts go two days without a response. Last thing, on one of my many last straws with Grover, I rhetorically asked him if he'd be treating me the same way if my sale was for $4,000,000 and not $400,000. No real response from Grover other than blubbering like Ed Rooney from "Ferris Bueller." Jeff represented me on a $200,000 purchase, but treated it as a $2,000,000 transaction and blubbering isn't in Jeff's vocabulary!

He's accommodating, knows his stuff and is always on call to help us with anything repair needs that come up. He knows our property like the back of his hand, understands all parts and needs with our utilities, and provides wonderful janitorial advice on how to keep our apartments well maintained. For instance, I've asked him how I, as a tenant, can care for my floor, dishwasher, washer/dryer so they stay in good form, and he provided the best tips and tricks that I've applied to keep my home running smooth. Another example: One time there was a water leak (very rare) that ran water from my upstairs neighbor's apartment right through a portion of my ceiling down to the tenants below. This was after 11pm one night - and Angelo rushed over and cut the water, managed the damage and had dry wall and floor repair team booked immediately. He led that project with great communication, and the refurb was pristine. He is kind, considerate, patient and an absolute pro. We are so lucky to have him. Kudos to Angelo!
