Drove over to check out a car for sale on his lot. The car was not ready to be sold. The tires were bald and would not pass any states inspection. Needed tires, Air conditioner compressor was broken. Plus a few other things needed to be address. I would have bought it that day if it was ready to be sold. I hate having my time wasted............ IF IT'S OUT ON THE LOT TO BE SOLD. I purchased a 2008 Saab from Mike for my son's first vehicle. Unfortunately I shared the same experience as some others after the purchase. When we brought the car home we noticed that the fuel gauge was on empty, when the night before it was on full. The next day we filled it up and the car still showed as empty. I called Mike and he said he would split the cost with me to get it fixed. He told me to go to Focus Automotive for the repair as they could not do that job in his shop. When at Focus, the identified the vehicle needed a new water pump and a laundry listof other repairs costing over $1700. When I tried to recoup some of this cost from Mike he was unwilling and only paid $120 for 1/2 the cost of the sensor. He claims he wouldn't pay because these were not safety issues?? and that he should have been consulted. He was the one who sent me to another repair shop and his was negligent in finding the issues prior to the sale. I tried multiple times to remedy with him, so unfortunately it ends up in this review and complaint to the BBB read more

Great customer and buying experience. Couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Being a first time buyer Mike made it a simple and easy process. Great and friendly staff. Clean and well maintained dealership and shop. The vehicle I purchased from Mike and his son, Had a couple of minor problems a month into owning the car and I cant begin to describe how wonderful the service was. Mike took the car in the next day, No appointment needed. Mike was also kind enough to cover 100% of the cost of the repairs. The part needed wasn't readily available So he gave me a loaner car to use until the part came in and my vehicle was fixed. Couldn't be more happy with the service. Drove an hour to see a car that was not advertised as a smoker's vehicle. Ok, fine. When I asked about the lingering smell (and pointed to the three air fresheners in use) Mike denied the smoking and claimed there would be certain other evidence. Of course, the smell persisted and when I returned from a test drive Mike was gone and his colleague admitted I had been lied to. It's clear there's some appetite for trickery here. read more

I purchased an as is 2004 Toyota Sienna from Mike's in May. There was an issue within the first week so I called and he made the repair. I have not had any problems since. I brought my car to my regular mechanic for an oil change and he looked it over and said I got a great deal. Mike's was fair and honest. I felt respected and not pressured into any sale. He listened to my problems even though most dealers who sell as-is would not care after the sale. Two friends recommended Mike's in Hooksett to me. I'm happy I purchased there and I would again in the future. Guess I should have read the reviews before purchasing any vehicles here. Noticed the same stuff. Gas tank near empty on the day of pick up (had been near full day before). After one day of driving found that there was a loose bolt in the steering column, the drivers seat had plenty of play, and while driving on I89 the front left trim flew off the windshield. Purchased my 2009 Pontiac Vibe in late June. Two weeks after purchased called to see if oil was ever changed, I was told it had been. No sticker put on window for me to reference. Was told to drive it atleast 3000mi for next oil change. Today, oil light started blinking, I drove to my garage for service. Not only was oil never changed, it was also two quarts low, my bad for not checking myself and taking word that it was done. The car air filter also had an enormous mouse nest and was filthy with feces. The cabin air filter was black/moldy. The light for the passenger air bag system now blinks on/off randomly. Hope it doesn't deploy on my grandson. Most of this is general maintenance with courtesy to your customers. Coming from a car family used and new, a car would not have left the lot in that type of condition. I also referred a friend to you who purchased a car. Not even an offer of a free oil change, how rude. I am glad to share this information with others since I am so appalled at this type of callous to sell cars. Your reputation would be much better served with more attention to the basics. Most of the cars were dirty inside. I noticed only the higher priced ones even looked clean on the interior. With the covid 19 epidemic, I would not recommend this business to anyone worried about cleanliness. The first thing I did was put gloves on and mask and completely clean the inside. This is not a laughing matter and hope its taken seriously. Cleaning a car is far less than detailing, antimicrobial wipes would go far. read more

I will never recommend this place to anybody, we just bought a car with mike and he said the car was in good condition, we drove for two weeks and the car broke down on me, he told us the car was making some noise because because it was sitting in the parking lot for a little while, but it turn out the car needed a clutch a new back spring, new abs breaks controller, new escape pipe and two new front axel, so it cost way more to get it fixed than the car is worth, the mechanic dave seems like a nice guy but he alsoknew what was wrong with the car but just didn't say anything, the sad part is that mike really just care about making his money and selling junk cars and screw whos buying. so my advice is, stay away from this place. read more

I bought a car here at the end of last summer looking for something to get me through college. It is now the end of my first year of college and I have a junker that needs thousands of dollars of repairs to be inspected due to engine and exhaust work. I purchased a 2001 VW Passat in august of 2013. Mike and his mechanic claimed the car was in good condition and sold the car inspected. Within a day of driving the left blinker needed to be replaced. A month after they replaced it, the blinker casing fell out while i was driving. Within a week the car was low on break fluid which lead me to find a leak in the break line. When i filled up the oil the day after i bought the car, it took 3 and a half quarts. There was also no windshield wash fluid. Clearly the car was not looked over very thoroughly. By time winter came i noticed that the car had no heat. They still charged me over 400 to replace the heater core. Which is apparently "half of what they would charge a normal customer." Recently I have been having problems with the exhaust. When I took the car to a Volkswagen specialist, they informed me about the after market exhaust that was poorly installed. The catalytic converters were shot and the 4 02 sensors were bad. The specialist did inform me that it takes a skilled and informed mechanic to spot the aftermarket exhaust. Clearly this is not the case for the mechanic at mikes imports. Overall mikes imports has poor service. They care about making money and don't seem to care about how it affects their customers. Mike seems like a nice guy.... but doesn't conduct his business in a professional manner. I would not recommend this place to a friend. read more
