I've been working out with Rattlesnake Mountain CrossFit for a couple of months, and have enjoyed…read moreit more than any other fitness class I've taken! The trainers are wonderful (I have mostly taken classes with Curtis, and he's really excellent!), the community of athletes is welcoming and supportive, the gym is immaculate, and the workouts are always challenging and never dull. I had never done CrossFit before coming here, and I was initially a little bit nervous. I thought it was mostly an activity for jocks who don't mind injuring themselves. Fortunately, my preconceptions did not apply at all to RMX! Curtis is really conscientious about getting us warmed up and ready for the workout every day, and emphasizes good form and injury prevention. We always practice key movements before the workout starts, and Curtis will check on you and help you perfect the movements as the workout progresses. That said, these are not easy workouts -- the jocks can certainly enjoy themselves here alongside the beginners! RMX is a wonderful gym, and I will be going back as often as I can. I have learned a lot about weightlifting, jumping rope, and managing my energy during long sets -- and I am already a little stronger than I was when I started. I can't recommend this gym highly enough!

I wasn't entirely impressed by this gym when we signed up but I loved the idea that it is 24 hours…read moreand that they had separate saunas for men and women. It was important to us that my daughter(16) could access the gym any time after staffed hours. Two employees assured me that she would have full access. (For clarity she just wanted to be able to go to the gym after work. Gym is unstaffed after 8pm and sometimes she was off at 8:45) She utilized the gym after staffed hours numerous times, until the other day she was not allowed entry. I went to the gym and let her in thinking it was a malfunction with her finger print. The next day I received an email with a list of penalties and fees for letting a minor enter after staffed hours. This information was not included in our welcome package and when I contacted the gym, the receptionist assured me she was a full access member. He was unsure of the issue. I was still waiting for a call back from a manager or the owner. Yesterday I went to the gym and was working out when the female owner interrupted me to give me unsolicited advice on where and how I was performing my box jumps. I kindly declined her suggestion . As she walked away she yelled "you'll break your shins doing that" I informed her that I am a personal trainer but thank you. Side note: she was literally walking around the gym without socks or shoes. I approached the male owner to discuss the issue and she just couldn't help herself. She just had to try and get her point across. Even after I told her I wasn't speaking to her. Carl said he could cancel my membership for me with out penalty. I am going to check tomorrow to see if it's been done.

2 stars because I can't rate how it was to work out there, but customer service is lacking…read more Wanted to try a free pass to try them out prior to joining but my brother couldn't fill out the application online because he wasn't over 23, which is apparently their age limit. Called to confirm this was true and I let the front desk woman know I was 29 and he was 21 and asked if there was any way he could work out. She said only 23 and older could use a free day pass but if we paid a day pass fee then he could work out. Once we got there she took a look at our IDs and turned us away saying only 23 and older can be guests. Not a big deal that gyms have their weird rules but would have been nice to know all the information prior to driving out there - not sure if the front desk woman had an issue with us working out there or she truly didn't know her own policies. Nothing on the website gives an indicator that 23 is the limit to be a guest. Other impressions: We went at 1030 am on a Thursday and the gym was full of older adults leaving a class and working out, but didn't see any younger adults there. Wasn't even offered a tour or anything while there.
