A solid neighborhood dry cleaner in the heart of the 9th and 9th district. Continental is a family-owned business that's been around for as long as I've lived in Salt Lake City (over 30 years!). They're one of the last of a dying breed: a dry cleaner that also offers laundry service and repairs. All of my garments have been returned on time in perfect shape. I sent a jacket in to have the zipper replaced and it was done well. Their prices are in line with other dry cleaners. Given the difficulty in finding parking in the neighborhood, it's wonderful that the dry cleaner has a small parking lot for customers. This local business deserves your support! read more

I was visiting Park City and looking for a Dry Cleaner that didn't use toxic perc. Found Continental in Salt Lake City and they had such wonderful reviews, I decided it was worth the 30 minute or so drive. It was!!! They are a family run business and could not be more welcoming and friendly! Awesome service AND they don't use toxic chemicals. They did a great job on my clothes and got them back two days later. I moved here from Hawaii and first started to go to them about 2 years ago. Even though I moved to downtown, I still come here just for my dry cleaning and shirts. Hilary really cares about her customers and Michael is always very accommodating. They have texted and left voicemails regarding my clothes and needed my input to get a stain out, and occasionally there's a note on the receipt about an issue they found. HILARY WILL GET YOUR STAINS OUT. Used them for the first time, had a number of expensive items that had stains from God knows how long ago. Gave them on Friday, returned on Monday to get them (quick and easy). One thing to note, I moved from NYC- where everyone dry-cleans (so i assume supply/demand creates super cheap prices). I'm glad to find this cleaners. I put my peacoat for dry clean and my husband's pants to hem. And they did just that. Price is pretty fair. Staff is very friendly. I even called ahead before dropping off my stuff and they were able to give me free quote on how much I will owe them. The only reason I put 4 stars is because I asked the lady over the counter if they will remind/call their customers to pick up stuff and she said yes. But they don't. For the record, I have never in my life left a review for a business or service. After my great experience with Continental Cleaners, I felt that I owed this to them. I recently moved to Salt Lake City and was looking for a dry cleaners that I could trust. I chose to try Continental Cleaners because they had the best reviews - After giving them a shot, it's easy to see why! I took my clothes in on Monday and was greeted by Hilary. She informed me that they were a family owned business and they would take great care of my clothes. I took in 10 dress shirts, a handful of which were in VERY rough condition. I had a number of white dress shirts that I had neglected cleaning for a long time that had become an off-white color with numerous stains. I let her know that I did not expect them to come clean but to do the best they could. She let me know they would be done on Wednesday. When I went to pick them up today (Wednesday), I arrived six hours before my pickup time. She acknowledged that she would have to locate the shirts because she was not expecting me so early. She dropped what she was doing and gathered everything right away, within 5 minutes. The shirts came back SPOTLESS - I was not expecting such a great result given the terrible condition I took my shirts in! The whites are popping again with no stains or dinginess at all! I took my light gray Canada goose jacket into these cleaners because I wanted to try a locally owned business - my jacket is difficult to clean and had lots of dirt and a few accidental stains accumulated over the months. Great family owned dry cleaners. This place is always great about taking care of my dry cleaning. They are very speedy with their services and can work with just about any deadline. My clothes always end up clean smelling and looking good. They are also very reasonably priced. When I dropped off my coats and sweaters, they really looked at them to make sure which treatment would work the best. They even called me a day before pickup and asked me if I'd like to have them take care of the pilling on one of my sweaters and knew exactly where I bought it which was cool especially considering it's not a store that uses their name for their clothing or labels. I have other dry cleaners that are closer to me and a bit cheaper, even. But I really loved the way Continental took care of my clothing. It's definitely quality over quantity here and I'm relieved to have such a great place in town. read more

Had 5 shirts cleaned, all 5 came back missing the collar stays and 1 shirt missing cuff links, I should have taken the preemptive measure to keep these at home, but didn't assume that everything would be stripped... I was however, very impressed that they noticed a few stains without my mentioning on a dress shirt. Pricing seemed very reasonable as well. friendly staff, typical turn around. I had been using continental cleaners for about a year. The service was hit and miss, sometimes my clothes would come back smelling of body odor, sometimes they were pristine. The last time I took items in I had a $600 Tom Ford shirt in the mix. They seemed highly aware of the value and assured me everything would be fine. When I got my shirt back it had a huge tear. They offered zero compensation and zero apology. read more

We were looking for a cleaners as our other one is too far away. I called Continental Cleaners because they received such high ratings. I inquired about the cost of laundering a man's shirt and was told $3.00. So I took my husbands shirts there and when I picked them up, the charge was over $4.00 per shirt! It seems they dry clean the shirts first and then launder and starch them. A nice service, I guess, but I wasn't told about it on the phone or in person when I dropped off the shirts. I don't get stuff dry cleaned very often. I work in science so I can show up every day in my jeans and grubby t-shirt. However, sometimes I actually have to look good, and I trust those clothes I wear to look good with Continental. Yeah, I chose it because it's the closest dry cleaner to my house, but they're friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced. And they don't complain about the cat hair that occasionally makes it on my clothing (like a certain other unnamed dry cleaner often did). Hey, I can't help that I'm a crazy cat lady who likes to wear black sometimes. Hook a sista up, will ya? So yeah, they get it done. What else can I say? read more

Went here based on yelp recomendations. LOVED IT. Walked in, dropped off my stuff, very friendly people there, and best part was they had it done same day. I didn't even ask or need it same day. They just get it done and back to you right away. Very resonable price for hte service and quality. Will be using them for all my dry cleaning from here on out. They also fix tears and such if needed. My only grip is that my truck doesn't fit very well in their parking lot but that isn't their fault. I had previously been taking my dry cleaning to Henrie's and expected to pay upwards of $30, as well as lose some buttons as they had before...
