I had an unfortunate experience washing two rugs at my condo. The heavy rugs caused both of the machines to become off-balance and the rugs were soaking wet and heavy. I'm elderly, but I managed to get my soaking wet rugs to this laundromat. A very helpful staff member help me open the door, showed me how to use the machines and helped me get change from the change machine. The Machines were strong enough to spin both rugs until they were almost dry. I then used a dryer, which was very efficient l. During my visit I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. When I left I felt very satisfied with the experience and the people I encountered. I can't say enough about this service and I will be returning. Many thanks! read more

the owner is incredibly rude and confrontational for no issue. I went in to see if they had a quarter machine and im not gonna drag my laundry back and forth if they don't so I grabbed the quarters first and he immediately began to jump me saying "you know that's not an ATM" like duh? honestly the entire interaction was so bad that I will never be doing my laundry here again, and I'll be spending my "stolen" quarters elsewhere, and I suggest you save yourself the trouble too. most of the machines are broken anyways and it just isn't worth the price in my opinion, much better laundromats in the area. read more

Laundry hours 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Saturday for drop off and pick up service. I use the laundry service its excellent. Be sure to weigh your hamper, i was paying way extra bc the hamper was going into the weight, weight it empty and deduct it. They only take cash or checks btw for laundry service. Kinda old school so be sure to bring enough for pick up. You gotta drop it off by 12pm if you want same day. Also coin laundry is avail here. Lots of broken machines and a problem with homeless on the weekend. Owner is super nice. Just wish they would remodel the place, take cards for laundry, add a heater, liquid soap in the restroom, add wifi. It would be a much better experience. Parking can be a pain in the ass. Racist business owner, machines are always broken. It is always really dingy inside and you sometimes leave with your clothes being even dirtier than when you came. Smarter to just go to Rose Laundry; its not that much further and always a cleaner, more pleasant experience. read more

Truly the only reason to visit this location was that it was in my neighborhood. Despite living in the Avenues, not everybody can afford their own washer and dryer. Ignoring broken machines and the majority of the dryers never working, it was still convenient and affordable. Visited today and discovered the new dryers have finally all been installed. Which is wonderful since I'm assuming they are all functional. But for the same quarter, the dry time has gone from 8 minutes to 6 minutes and all the washing machines have gone from $2 a wash to $2.50. If I'm the only one annoyed by that, so be it. But if I have to pay that much to drag my laundry out in public, I will go to a much cleaner location. Bummer. read more

Approximately half the dryers are tagged for repair. Staff do not wear masks properly. When I mentioned this to one employee she said she didn't have to as she was six feet away from me, apparently ignoring the concept that I was going to need to stand near her to load the dryer. And that the sign on the door says masks are required at all times. read more

Owners essentially claim the only 3 front loaders, which I use to wash blankets and other larger items every month or so. I walk in, all three are empty; the owner (or employee) tells me they're "in use" and to use a regular machine. Went elsewhere. They seem to place drop off laundry service above walk in customers. This is the worst laundry mat EVER!!! Many machines are broken (with notes on them), then another one took a dollar but wouldn't take the remainder required (coin catch must have been full) but it didn't give me my money back...when I finally found one to take my money, the load came out sopping wet...so I had to pop it in another one. That one stopped working during the rinse cycle!!! On to a third... So far, I've spent$6.50 just to get one load washed (I'm frightened that I now have to try the dryers--please don't burn/snag my clothes!!). On top, they have the nerve to play Christian music (and I mean CHRISTIAN music) while they're robbing me blind... Stay far away from this place!!! read more

First time user point of view - Sunday late morning, never stepped foot in there before. Went in to check it out first. VERY clean, machine were functioning, clean on the inside, washers = $1.50, Super huge washers = $3.50. Change machine for $1,$5,$10...but if you have a $20 Java Joe's is a block away. Being a newb at public laundromats, I grabbed one of their many rolley metal carts out to my car (ample parking) and loaded up. I had a whole u shape section to myself (6 washers) and loaded my quilts/larger stuff) into a huge washer. I had a huge washer loaded and the quarter stuck with $1,50 to go. I was pissed. The proprietor of the business came in a bit later, I told him and he gave me my quarters back.Dryers are 8 minutes per 25 cents, and can fit 2 washer loads in them.. Tables for folding. It was clean, quiet, detergents, snacks, soda, warm beverages to buy out of machines. A Public restroom that was clean and not scary. Plenty of parking, laundry carts to tote back and forth between machines, garbage cans.......over all I like it a lot. Very, VERY casual, no flair, just what it is - a laundromat. No hipsters, no kids screaming and running about (I would have left), just normal people of all walks of life doing their laundry. I think I have found a rare gem. read more

The prices here are pretty high for a laundromat and it is very hit or miss on the quality of the wash/dry cycles. I have used a number of the machines and have only had approximately 5 cycles that drained all of the water during the spin cycle. This causes you to have to spend more money on the dryer. read more

I rarely use their laundry mat but their drop in service is wonderful. Friendly and great prices. A hidden gem. Their manager actually went out of her way to return something that I left behind and gave me a call. Hopefully they don not get too popular and have to move or raise their prices! I'm not sure what kind of experience other people have had but I love their drop-off service. It's a $1.00 a pound and they use the smelly good stuff. My sheets still smell so good. I will say that they did discolor one white shirt only because they probably didn't see it but it will come out with bleach. The ladies that took my laundry were nice and personable. I have never used their machines personally so this review is for their wash and fold service which I will rant and rave about. My clothes always smell so good and they do a great job getting all my dog hair out of everything. They fold better than I ever could plus it makes for easy laundry day. Drop it off early enough you get it back same day at 4pm. The people who work here are awesome and personable and work really hard. Nice people who work hard day in and day out? Today I washed a blanket here but the spin cycle wouldn't stop and kept going for 30 minutes past when it should end; the machine door was locked so I couldn't get it out. Elisha was working and claimed she couldn't stop the washer--that I'd just have to wait until the washer decided to stop spinning. When I walked in initially she'd said "Can I help you?" in a snotty tone of voice--she didn't seem businesslike from the get-go. I knew that the machine was stoppable but that Elisha just wanted to jack me around, so I asked for the owner's phone number and went to my car to call them. However, Elisha answered the phone and told me that they washer had stopped (miraculously, in the ten seconds since I walked out) and that I could now get the blanket. Elisha had turned off the washer the second I walked out the door to call the owners. Twice before I've been to this laundry when Teresa was working; she was helpful but Elisha is not. I'll be trying out different Laundromats next time. read more

You may have better luck using an actual washboard. Vintage charm does not necessarily make for a good laundromat. Dirty and poorly maintained. On our visit many machines had notes for being out of order. We avoided those but still ended up getting a bad machine that got our clothes wet, but didn't rinse or spin them. We had to finish the jobs ourselves in the sink on a day when we didn't have time to spare. Didn't see contact information anywhere. Terrible place that leaves you feeling that the owner invests no responsibility. read more

I've been going there for about a year, but I don't feel the need to ever return after the last time. The girls who work there are very unprofessional. Yelling at maintenance workers to fix broken machines and creating uncomfortable shouting matches over issues that should be discussed far from the listening ears and eyes of paying customers just trying to their own laundry. As it is a laundromat, you don't expect a crazy amount of customer care but I would hope that the staff would hold them selves to a standard that doesn't include loudly discussing personal problems and opinions in front of people wishing to just mundanely finish their laundry. From listening to complaining staff, staff smoking just outside the door, and constantly having the machines eat my quarters I would rather travel farther than have to put up with this lazy local business. read more

This is a vintage laundry Matt ran by a small caring family, and although I've never used their equipment I take my laundry to them every week for their laundry service and I am in love with it! They handle with care, use soft baby laundry detergent, and get ALL the spots out! Not to mention an awesome folding job!!!!! The best part about it is the very reasonable $1 per pound to do it all. Pick up for $3 within the area if needed! I have become great friends with the girls who do my laundry there and I will never go anywhere else. read more

I can't vouch for laundromat portion, but don't trust them to wash your clothes for you. I was thrilled to find a place in the Aves that would do laundry (their fluff and fold service). The price was great, the service was friendly, and it was so convenient. I told everyone about it. Then I noticed my whites were coming back pretty dingey. It wasn't that big a deal when it was just things like gym socks, but when a top that I'd just bought and only worn once came back gray, I thought about no longer using them. Before doing that, I decided it would be better to give them a chance to take care of it. So, I dropped off a load and asked if they could use bleach because the last load came back dingey looking. I picked up my laundry yesterday and their response to my request was to not wash my darks either. My clothes had clearly been deodorized and thrown in the dryer, but they hadn't been washed. (I don't want to go into TMI, but I can guarantee that things hadn't been washed.) I don't think this was always their practice, because I think I would have noticed. I did suspect, though, that they'd been washing everything all together, which is why the whites looked like they did. I guess their response to a reasonable request to step things up was to retaliate by giving me back a bag of deodorized, folded, dirty laundry. I'm *really* disappointed. It had seemed like such a great value but ultimately it doesn't matter if the clothes aren't getting cleaned. read more
