I was so thankful to be assigned to this collections company from the 1st time I spoke with someone there on my 1st MRI bill went to them & then when speaking with each other person that I did for my 2nd MRI bill that went to collections - most recently I spoke with Diana Miller & not only was she a kind person but also friendly and we also had a short chat about travel locations - for once I pay off each of my MRI bills now... In 2008 & a couple other times I went through lay-offs I have needed to talk with other "bill collections" personnel and really have had horrible experiences - 1000% opposite than with This company and especially Diana. I am very pleased about having such a kinder and more friendly experience with each person I spoke with ( total of 4). This has to be the worst company out there.. I called to confirm a notice I received from them since I wasn't sure what it was for and the representative I spoke with (LUCY) who is supposed to be a supervisor was the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to.. From the beginning of the call you can tell she had a bad attitude.. I explained my situation and asked for some assistance and all she said to me was call the imaging center and figure it out with them.. I am shocked how people like this work in a customer service environment.. Quick tip Lucy, if you don't like dealing with people then choose a different profession because I can tell you are horrible at this.. The funny thing is their calls are supposed to be monitored or recorded, so I would love for someone to pull the call logs and hear the way she talks to people.. When I addressed her attitude and asked why she had such a bad attitude she didn't even acknowledge her behavior but proceeded to tell me that this call is over and that she will be disconnecting the call.. Continental Credit Control had to issue a refund to me for an account that was not supposed to be in collections. They issued the credit back on 6/2/2023 and as of 6/13/2023 it has not shown up on my credit card so I called them to see if they could tell me when I will see the credit. The person that answered was less than helpful and simply confirmed the credit had been issues but said they had no way of knowing when it would show up on my credit card Apparently they love to collect but paying out, NOT SO MUCH! I worked with Diana Miller at Continental Credit Control.I have never had any credit issues until I was injured this summer and was receiving medical bills that were covered by my insurance. I wish I could give a zero star. I received a letter from CCC-I called them immediately, explained to the representative that I dispute the debt (which was around $100) because the doctor agreed to correct her billing code and insurance was handling the claim. Representative told me this disputed debt would be placed on hold. However, one month later, CCC just ignored my dispute and sent me a second letter asking for more money, alleging that they did not hear anything from me. This is disingenuous as I called and wrote to them. I called them again and was basically told that they don't care, they just want to be paid, and they didn't put the claim on hold while insurance was working on it. read more

They are not connected to credit system, and you don't need to pay medical bill if it's ever sent to CCC. there is no impact on your credit score. It appears Continental Credit Control is illegally charging interest on debt. I have filed a complaint with the state attorney general and I am also looking into filing a class action suit. I am pretty sure I am not the only one. In short, collection agencies may charge interest only in the follwoing scenario: If when assigned the debt by the original creditor, the collection agency can demand and collect interest from the debtor to the same extent that the consumer would be obligated to pay interest to the original creditor. The obligation to pay interest is not changed by the debt being assigned to a collection agency. I have contacted the original creditor and have confirmed they do not charge interest nor is it stipulated in any written agreement that they reserve the right to. Therefore Continental Credit Control can not charge interested as per 15 U.S.C. 1692f(1) [§ 808(1). read more

Horrible customer services. I had to contacted them due to inaccurate information of my mother and wanted to clear with them. A customer representative, Luciana M. couldn't help us because my mother couldn't speak English. She said ,in order to help us , my mother has to speak English . WTF? I just said, she can't speak English and that's why I was calling . Usually, any other companies representatives ask for her and ask if she can give permissions or consents to talk to me about her accounts. She was next to me and we were ready , but no , this representative said she can't help her because she doesn't speak English . I asked, then how do you help people who don't speak English or elders. Worst Service ever !!!!! I never received a invoice from the people listed on the collection notice. I called numerous times to this collection agency asking for the name on the invoice or the phone number of the client they were acting on behalf off, so I could check to see if I actual owed money or someone was using my identity. ORIGINAL REVIEW 7/11/2018: This company is unethical.  They send a scary bill that looks like your credit will be ruined.  My bill came from Beverly Radiology from a service at West Coast Radiology.  It was an erroneous bill and after seven months of calling Beverly Radiology, they told me that it had been resolved and I had a $0 balance, and they would send me an apology letter.  Big lie.  Instead, they sent it to Continental Credit and added interest.  I talked to Carmen at Continental Credit who has absolutely no customer service skills and should be fired immediately.  I have lost all will to fight this and I paid it in full including the interest.  I guess they won but it was extortion and a scam.  I will report them to the BBB. UPDATE 11/15/2021: Three years after my initial review, I received a reply from Shawn S., the "Business Owner" at Continental Credit with a phone number I could call to help resolve my issue. In the hopes that someone at Continental Credit would help me with this ERRONEOUS CHARGE, I made the phone call and communicated with Shawn S., who said the post was made by his associate. During a call with the associate, the tone was completely different than his description in his yelp response--he stated that I was not the customer and he had no responsibility to me. Can you leave zero stars? First, they called me over and over even though they were informed this was a medical debt discharged in chapter 7 bankruptcy. Now, 4 months later, it appears on my credit report and I'm LIVID!! Newsflash Continental, it is ILLEGAL to attempt to collect on a debt that was discharged in bankruptcy. It was also illegal every time you called me AFTER I told you it had been discharged. Thankfully I have the law, and the credit bureaus, on my side to deal with the situation, however, I'm sure not everyone is so lucky. Typical shady collection agency, probably worse than the usual ones. I found a less than $50 charge from almost 7 years back after running a credit report, and called them to take care of it. My 'agent' didn't answer his phone or return my messages for a week, so I called their operator. The operator said, "Oh, hes right here next to me". Get on the phone with him, and somehow my bill is twice what it says I owe on the report. Basically couldn't/wouldn't tell me anything about it, and only after I paid for it, did he tell me they will only mail out letters to the credit bureaus once a month, so I would have to wait 30 days for them to even start the process. On top of that, for 'security reasons', they cannot email, verify by phone, or give any sort of receipt/way to verify. Nothing. read more

So a guy who goes by Hunter Cash calls me about an auto service bill which has been taking care by my insurance company with the original creditor. He gives me this imaginary balance reflecting out of the world interest with his own percentage. I sent him an invoice with the claim processing proof by my agency, and 2 months later he reports me to the credit bureau. Invoice is over 2 years and cannot be collected via court since the statue of limitation expiration date has passed. So now his collection item is reported on one of credit bureau after I was able to dispute the other one. They reported me to the credit bureaus a month after they spoke with me about the bill without even giving me a 30 days chance to dispute. Such a horrible person to talk to. Came out like on the phone like a jackass thinking he s some dictator or something. Demanding it instead of trying a consultative manner. Fresno imaging was paid by insurance but they didn't send the paperwork in time & Continental placed the bills in my credit report. Now I am attempting to call & they don't answer. Total rip off anyone down for a class action I got a call from these people 2/21/19 for a bill from 2014 from a medical provider from 2014 for $15.00 they said they got it in 2016 I have had the same phone number for 20 years they added interest so now the bill is 21.25. They said they have been calling since 2016. My phone records show otherwise. The debt has been canceled. I am taking legal action against these people as I have perfect credit and fools like this have the power to post fraudulent charges against you. Look at there Bbb complaints. Tried to get the policy on paying a collections debt if they delete or close accounts as i want a deletion from my credit history as closed accounts renew and sit on your credit report for a long time. Creditor wanted my information and i did not give them this information as they would renew the debt. I've explained to Hunter that I was just aware of this $100 bill from the facilities billing department just yesterday. Handling the bill was disgusting. It went through rain, torn areas, dried ink smeared, and warpped. The facility told me that I couldn't pay them and gave me the number to Continental Credit Control due to ignoring their 2 letters within the COVID year of 2020. During USPS issues of mailing due to COVID, low on staff, and NO courtesy calls or voicemails attempts. They sure tried hard to have me aware. To this day, I haven't received a letter from CCC. Go figure. I've apparently been owing them $100 since 10/2019. I called CCC yesterday after confirming with my Health Insurance, then attempted to the pay the facility. CCC told me it raised to $102.16. The lady I was speaking with was an empty, live-robot with no heart or emotions. That thing needs to downgrade in her attitude. I was ready to pay the bill of $102.16 but she hang up on me after asking if I could put her on hold. Needed both hands to get my wallet and put my sleeping baby nephew down aside. Called CCC today and I talked to management with Hunter. He took the time to listen to my whole situation, told me the bill is now $102.63 but had me pardoned and closed the debt at $100.00. I know people don't usually post positive reviews about collection agencies but I had as positive an experience as one could paying a past due bill. I received the bill but misplaced it. Several months later, I came across it while cleaning and called them. The agent was pleasant and polite. She did not judge me about the debt. She answered my questions and even arranged to have the account removed from my credit when I paid because I didn't know about it before. Different name, different DOB, different SSN. Sent them a copy of my DL to verify my identity. Now they will no longer take my calls. Been trying for 2 months to get this off my credit report. Verified the debt was mine and that the original medical provider had sent to the wrong address. It took less than 5 minutes to handle - paid the debt over the phone, they pulled off my credit report and are sending a letter of confirmation. Super easy. read more
