I see that Continental Toyota is receiving a lot of bad press. I have only had positive experiences with their service. I moved to this area in 1997. I bought a Camry from an out of state dealer. When I needed to take the car into the shop I asked around and was told about Continental, so I took my car there. Since that time I've bought two cars there. The sales managers have tried their best to make a deal for the potential buyer. That is what brings the customer back. When my Camry had to be serviced---just like any other service shop---I had to wait, and while waiting I talked to everyone, and listened as well. I wanted to know what other people thought about this dealer's service. Patrons told me how great the service was and some mentioned having only purchased their cars from Continental. Often we only hear about complaints and the good traits go unmentioned, however that day customers were swapping stories about the General Manager who personally helped customers in various ways that other dealers wouldn't. I am 74 years old. There are times we do not get our car at the time promised because of this or that, but don't you think that they are trying their best to help you go home or to work? Do you really think that they have not been in your shoes and know how important it is for you to be on your way? At another time, while waiting for service, I witnessed two men chatting. One was saying, "I am going to get them for every thing I can. They have the money." I wondered why he had made this statement. More recently, I was standing in the service area not two feet away from a very muddy SUV with a big crack in the windshield. The owner was dropping off his car. After his service and a car wash, the man drove just outside the doors, parked, and came back in. He complained that the window cracked after coming out of the wash. I told the service department that I saw it (the large crack) when it came in. There are so many people like this...wanting more than they're entitled to and willing to lie about it. I have witnessed these things throughout the years I've been going to Continental Toyota. Whose shoulders do you think situations like this fall on? THE G.M.--- Mr. Dennis Pecho. If the G.M. did not do his job well, he and his employees would be without jobs and the company would go under. Do you think for one minute that this it is an easy job to keep all of the customers happy? It is difficult to keep all of your family and friends happy, but you do the best you can. Mr. Pecho does that, too. My visits to Continental have been pleasant and I left satisfied with the people and service. I highly recommend this staff. read more

I was directed to Continental Toyota because I used the Costco Auto program and was fortunate to be connected with Antoinette Dominguez who handled my sale. I completed ~80% of my research online, knew what I wanted and in ~2 weeks I drove off with a 2019 Avalon Hybrid. Antoinette was wonderful to work with. She was very friendly, prompt with responses to my questions and had the car ready on the day/time I wanted to pick it up. This is my 7th Toyota purchase in a row starting with a Sienna Minivan in the mid '90s when my children were small, continuing with 3 Priuses over the next decade in which I put 125-135K miles on each and now I'm driving my second Avalon. I would put the Avalon against other sedans that cost $20+K more. My research proved to me that for the money there is nothing close to the safety systems, design, ride, fuel economy and reliability present in a Toyota Avalon. I will give Continental Toyota a chance to earn my business the next time I buy a Toyota and will not hesitate to ask for Antoinette by name. Overall an outstanding experience. Also, if you are a Costco member, do yourself a favor and contact them prior to making a buying decision. SIDEBAR: I only have one complaint and that is with Toyota the company. The only factory option for the Avalon Hybrid is the "Advanced Safety Package" including the Bird's Eye View camera, Perimeter Scan, Intelligence Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross-Traffic Breaking. The MSRP of this is $1,150 and in my opinion should be a standard offering! Why? The package only adds 2.5% to the sticker price of the car while adding significant safety features. If you cannot tell by now, I wanted this extra but it wasn't part of my car as built. For various reasons I couldn't wait for the perfect car or to have one built so I surrendered to the "a good plan today is better than the perfect plan tomorrow" philosophy. Come on Toyota a safety features are the most important part of a car. In the future for a car at this price point, I hope your customers don't need to consider buying your high-end vehicles without all possible safety in place as part of standard business protocol. read more

I fixed my car at this dealership part of an accident. Josh is my main contact. On Feb 20, I was about to pick up my car and find out the door get damage which is not my fault and I have to pay to fix the damage. Then after that for the second pick up time, the engine has an issue. Mike the one from sales department notice that issue because I try to get the estimated price of my car. So, I told the service to check and give me a call. Unfortunately, they did not give me a call for about 3 days. Then I called them and they don't want to find out what is the issue and they told me I need to pay the diagnostic fee. My car was in excellent condition before the accident. As a customer, it is my right to know why my car is not a good shape after the accident while they try to fix the car caused by accident. Talked to Bobby as the production manager and he still doesn't care about my complaint. THen I talked to Josh again about my complaint and he agrees to send the car for service. Then they said that they find out something wrong with the tire, they did not clean up the paint after they done it. So they try to clean out the pain and told me to pick up the car. It took about another weeks wasting my time. When I try to pick up the car, I called Josh as the witness if the car still makes a noise. And yes, the car still makes a noise. And I was waiting and waiting to get the news from Josh and nobody give me a call. At last, once again I have to call them. And they said it is nothing wrong with the car. 2 people notice the issue and they still denied the issue. They waste my time, waste my money they don't take care the customer, sloppy job and they niggled my car. They are not competent to do the job. Look, I have to pay my rental more than 1 month and I have to pay the damage that is occurred. And now I have to fix the car somewhere else and spend more money. I have nothing but excellent experiences at Continental! My mother owns a Toyota, and since we live in Orland Park, Orland Toyota would be a logical dealership to go too. Unfortunately for them, they lost us as a customer because of wrongful accusations and condescending service associates. Nevertheless, we began our search for a new dealership. We stumbled upon Continental Toyota, and we were quite amazed at the facilities. They have Sony flat screen televisions in the waiting room and complimentary coffee! Everyone is unbelievably attentive there, Maury (the show that proves "you are NOT the father") came on, and everyone in the waiting room lost interest and became distracted. In less than 5 minutes into the show, the cashier came out of their 'box' and changed the channel to something more appropriate. I was impressed! When it was time to pay my bill, my service advisor explained every aspect of the bill, and even went over an inspection sheet. What I found surprising was that they told me that the vehicle's brake pad's were low and I need to replace them soon. They didn't pressure me to get them done at all! Then, the cashier patiently waited while I fumbled in my purse to locate my debit card. She sympathized with me, and mentioned that it is nearly impossible to find things in her purse when you need it. It's hard to find understanding people in the car business, I'm so used to people rushing you to spend your money. When it was time to purchase a vehicle of my own, I knew exactly where to go...Continental! I was driving an Chevy SUV, and I wanted something that was smaller and great on gas. I dealt with Ken, one of the sales managers there, and he is one of the funniest guys I've ever met! I didn't think that buying a car would be a fun experience, but it sure was. I drove out of the parking lot in my new Corolla S with a big smile on my face. I received a great deal, and even the general manager helped my transfer my belongings....now that's customer service! read more

I drive a 2017 Toyota Highlander that I bought at another Dealership out south. On todays date, 12-29-20 on my way home from work in Lagrange Park, Ill. My low tire pressure light came on. I was concerned one of my tires had picked up something, and the fact that I was currently driving in the first nasty snowstorm of the year, I could not call Continental directly because of the driving conditions. So I had my wife call their Service Department and see if they could help me really quick (The Dealership is on my way home) They said their Service Department closes at 5pm, but they would be able to help me get some air in my problem tire if I made it in. I pulled into their Service Department at 5:05pm and was greeted by a Service Manager named Chuck. He stated that the Service Department was closed and inquired what kind of issue I was having. I explained to him that when I bought my Highlander, I had purchased the extended warranty tire package, and that I had a low tire pressure light on and was concerned about driving any further south on the problem tire in the snowstorm. Chuck smiled and simply said " Let me take care of it Sir." He took my Highlander into the shop, and 10 minutes later he had my tires filled (all 4 were low) and sensor reset. I thanked him and continued on my way home. Chuck is the REASON why I will continue to come back to Toyota time and time again for my new vehicles. The customer service is second to none. A few days ago I bought a used truck from Continental. I would have to say that this was one of the best car buying experiences I have had in a while. No one stalking you when you first walk through the lot. I was able to look at some vehicles without being hounded. Ruben Gonzalez was the salesman that approached us in the lot. Gave me his card and didn't hassle me to buy or test drive one. Simply just answered the questions I had. I test drove the truck I liked and went inside. We were able to work out an agreed upon price for the truck I wanted and it went smooth. Ruben was very professional and was not like most typical salesmen where they ask you what you want your monthly payment to be instead of giving the bottom line. I hate that. I would like to add, that I didn't go to the dealership until a little after 7pm so it was close to closing once test driven and paperwork completed. Ruben was quick to get all the paperwork together and get the truck cleaned up for us. There was some wait with Financing, not due to Ruben or the dealership, but overall was a great experience. Ruben stayed until after closing to ensure that we were satisfied with everything and everything went well. Ruben was professional, courteous and an overall great salesmen. I wanted to let people know just how much Continental Toyota cares about their customers, which is a WHOLE LOT! Recently, I took my 2011 Toyota Sienna in for an oil change. After speaking with a service representative, I was told that there was a recall on the vehicle. So, I was instructed to leave my vehicle, was given a rental car and told that my vehicle would be ready the next day. Well, my vehicle was ready the next day, but it was not the same. Long story short, the radio and the backup camera were no longer working, which I was told was due to a "hard reset". I was really saddened by this, mainly because my backup camera was out... and this is a big vehicle. We went back and forth for a short while, which was okay. However, what I really want to point out is just how amazing Ms. Linnea Zamora was/is! She really cares about the customers! We are very loyal customers to Toyota, and that really meant something. Mr. Ambrose Espisito was a great pleasure to work with as well! Continental Toyota, in my opinion, is the BEST place to purchase your vehicle and service it too. I had a great first time experience with the team @ Continental in purchasing a Camry Hybrid XLE. I conducted my car search with a total of five dealerships. All negotiations with Continental were completed online with Kimberly Lawler, who was very responsive to locating the car my specific requirements, and offering a very competitive price. This particular car was not on site @ Continental, so Kimberly arrange the acquisition & transportation of the car to Continental. During this process Kimberly kept me informed of the arrival of the car, and next steps. Once the car was on site she arranged for me to come in and complete the purchase with Bill Awwad. Once on site, we met with Bill, who had been prepped by Kimberly for our arrival. We crossed state lines from Indiana to Illinois to buy our van - a 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE premium FWD. Amanda Woosley in the internet department went above and beyond to find the exact vehicle we wanted as we were quite picky about color and interior. Amanda and her manager Jackie handled all the communications very efficiently via email and phone calls. We finalized the deal via email and I put the deposit down via the phone. No one in NW Indiana could come close to their deal and their willingness to find me the exact color combination we wanted. They worked with Toyota on the vehicles being built in the pipeline and had one redirected to their dealership just for me. Walked in signed the paperwork and drove home. John Cheung the sales person was very adept at walking through the new features of our vehicle. Previous to the experience I am about to detail I thought this dealership was the best in the area. So my sister in law needed a car and since this dealership serviced both of my vehicles I wanted to see what used cars they had in inventory. I found a 2011 Toyota Corolla the only issue was the lower part of the front bumper was cracked. I failed to mention this was her first car so my wife and I brought her to the dealership to assist her with the purchase. I asked the sales rep about the crack he said owe we fixed it I looked at it and it looked fixed. Well a couple months later my sister in law sent a picture showing duct tape was holding the bumper together. I contacted the dealership several times via email and finally I got a call. Someone called saying they wanted to make it right my sister in law was asked to bring the car and after bringing it was told to bring it back for an estimate and was not certain if she had to pay anything. She has called back several times and her calls have not been returned. She is so upset she does not even want to deal with the dealership, shame on them. Integrity means a lot to me they lied to us and do not care and if I have to go the the president of Toyota to get this fixed I will but I can never do business with them again. Bobby D read more

Jackie Dybas, our internet/phone contact, treated us as if we were VIPs that had bought multiple vehicles over the years despite this being our first purchase from Continental Toyota. Jackie was patient with all our questions regarding pricing and selection of the vehicle we were looking for. EXTREMELY prompt in returning all emails and phone calls--a very big plus! Dean Rios, our on-site sales rep, is not your typical pushy, tell you what you need salesman. Dean was thoughtful and considerate of all of our requests and desires. On both of our visits before purchasing, Dean was willing to spend whatever amount of time it took to make us feel comfortable and confident about our purchase. His knowledge of all the little nuances --switches, touch screen, electronics, tow package, etc-- of our Toyota Highlander was refreshing. We live in Lincoln Park, Chicago and decided to make the trips back and forth to Hodgkins IL (20 miles) because of Jackie's telephone and email demeanor and aggressive pricing.
